> The Great Ruler Recap

The spiritual power of students participating in the Beiling School selection began to rapidly drain, leaving them weak and on the verge of collapsing. Among them, Mu Chen, who seemingly had no spiritual power, watched his friends struggle, feeling helpless and lamenting his inability to protect anyone, including his mother.

In a moment of despair, a surge of mysterious power erupted from within him, striking a colossal Eye of Heaven in the sky, which had been the cause of the spiritual energy depletion. This powerful strike caused the Eye of Heaven to temporarily recede, saving everyone from certain demise. The Evil Deity, sensing this familiar surge of power, recognized its similarity to the force that had sealed him long ago.

He immediately dispatched his adopted daughter, Wen Qingxuan, to investigate the source of this power, granting her permission to reopen the Eye of Heaven if necessary. Wen Qingxuan suspected the power was related to the Great Futu Spell and that members of the God Clan might be secretly operating within Beiling. She sent her subordinate, No-Face Taoist, to begin the investigation. Meanwhile, Mu Feng identified the celestial phenomenon as one of the Evil Deity's Nine Eyes.

He, along with other Domain Lords, rushed to rescue the students from the assessment area. Mu Chen, however, remained unconscious. Luo Li stayed diligently by his side, channeling her spiritual power to protect him. Mr. Mo sensed an unusual spiritual fluctuation within Mu Chen. Mu Feng wondered if it was a side effect of the Eye of Heaven. To safeguard the students, Mr. Mo decided to temporarily send them to the Five Great Academies while he formulated a long-term plan.

In his unconscious state, Mu Chen dreamed of his mother, who gently explained that she had sealed his spiritual power to shield him from harm. Upon awakening, Mu Chen was deeply touched to find Luo Li, who had used her spiritual power to keep him asleep for recovery, faithfully watching over him. Luo Li then delivered astonishing news: Mu Chen now possessed spiritual power.

However, his spiritual channels were still blocked, preventing him from fully gathering and utilizing this newfound energy. Luo Li promised to help him unblock them once he was fully rested, filling Mu Chen with immense excitement. Mu Feng convened the Domain Lords, sharing an ancient prophecy: "When Nine Eyes appear, the Evil Deity will show up." He warned that the full opening of all nine eyes would herald the Evil Deity's complete revival.

Mu Feng drew a connection between the recently seen Eye of Heaven and the Eye of Source, dismissing the latter's perceived benefits as a deceptive illusion. Many of the lords were skeptical, finding it improbable that the Black Dragon, whose clan was almost annihilated in sealing the Evil Deity, would conspire with him.

Mr. Mo urged caution and further investigation, stressing that the immediate priority was to understand the Eye of Heaven and identify the mysterious individual whose golden light had saved them. As a contingency, Mr. Mo proposed a plan to construct a more formidable barrier around Beiling School, enlisting the combined strength of the Domain Lords and other masters. Concurrently, students would be sent to the Beiling Field to search for Jade Fruits, precious items known for replenishing lost spiritual power.

Luo Li successfully unblocked Mu Chen's spiritual channels, but he discovered he was only at the entry-level Perceiving Level and still struggled to wield his spiritual power. With the Beiling School re-selection for the Five Great Academies approaching, Mu Chen expressed his concern about embarrassing himself but resolved to practice diligently to avoid such a fate. Before their departure to the Beiling Field, parents gathered to bid their children farewell. Mubai was entrusted with leading the students.

Mu Feng discreetly advised Mu Chen to keep his spiritual power a secret from everyone except Luo Li. Unbeknownst to them, Xue Shi of the Blood God Clan, having learned of the students' mission, prepared to ambush them and capture Luo Li. Meanwhile, No-Face Taoist reported to Wen Qingxuan that his initial search revealed no God Clan masters. Still, Wen Qingxuan, sensing an underlying anomaly, ordered him to continue monitoring the students closely.

In the Beiling Field, Luo Li and the students encountered Xue Shi and his forces. Despite the students' valiant efforts to protect Luo Li, they were quickly overwhelmed. In the chaos, Qingshan urged Luo Li to escape. Unseen by the others, two blue lights entered Qingshan's body, indicating possession by the Jiuyou Bird, an ancient immortal bird descendant. Qingshan, now under the Jiuyou Bird's influence, led Mu Chen, Mubai, and Qian'er to a seemingly bountiful Jade Fruit Tree.

Mu Chen and his companions noticed Qingshan's unusual silence and strange eyes, and his voice even shifted to a feminine tone. The Jiuyou Bird, speaking through Qingshan, revealed that it had already absorbed all the spiritual power from the Jade Fruits and intended to make them its next meal. As the sinister plot unfolded, Mubai and Qian'er's spiritual power began to rapidly drain.

At the same time, No-Face Taoist informed Wen Qingxuan about a new, powerful force absorbing spiritual power within the Beiling Field. Wen Qingxuan, perceiving this as an opportunity, decided to bide her time and allow this unknown entity to complete its work, planning to intervene at the opportune moment, like an oriole behind a mantis. As the spiritual power absorption reached its peak, she gave the command to open the Eye of Heaven once more.
