When Zheng Baixu collapsed, Yang Zhenzhen panicked, wondering if he needed CPR. Just as she considered it, Zheng Baixu woke up, teasing her about wanting an excuse to kiss him. Though Zhenzhen was relieved he was fine, persistent reporters remained camped outside his home, trapping them inside. Meanwhile, the scandal was escalating as the actress Wenwen gave an interview implicitly confirming their relationship. At Star Entertainment, this new development prompted a crisis meeting.
Executive Liu Yinan noted that the scandal, while negative, had boosted Zheng Baixu's name on trending lists and argued they should capitalize on the publicity. Chen Tianhao initially considered this strategy, but a sudden, long-awaited call from potential investor Zheng Weijun, who offered to meet, changed his mind. Understanding that a deal with Zheng Weijun required a pristine image for his artist, Chen Tianhao immediately reversed course.
He ordered Liu Yinan and Yu Hong to disperse the reporters and ensure Zheng Baixu was marketed as a top idol with an absolutely positive image. To further manage the crisis, he decided to send Baixu to Mexico ahead of schedule for his music video shoot. The police were subsequently called to clear out the reporters. Meanwhile, Chen Tianhao's wife, Lu Wanqing, had moved back to her father's home following a conflict in their marriage.
Chen Tianhao went to her and explained that the investment from a company introduced by Ma Lina was currently his only viable option. He admitted Ma Lina was interested in him but insisted he had always maintained a professional distance, and that the investors' sole condition was making her a vice-president. Wanqing listened to his explanation, and though she didn't reply, she seemed to accept it. Before leaving, Yang Zhenzhen learned that Chang Ran had contacted Yu Zirui.
She rushed to the bar to breathlessly ask about the meeting. Yu Zirui explained that while Chang Ran was impressed, he was hesitant to sign him, feeling his position at the company would be awkward given Zheng Baixu's immense popularity. However, he promised to do his best to help. Touched that she came just to ask about him, Zirui called her his "lucky star."
Zhenzhen then told him she was heading to Mexico with Baixu, and they agreed to keep in touch online. Upon arriving in Mexico, a cameraman discreetly complained to Zheng Baixu that Zhenzhen’s clothing looked unprofessional on camera. Annoyed, Baixu dragged her to a high-end clothing store, mocking her "tacky" taste and insisting her image reflected poorly on him.
Zhenzhen was pleased, thinking it was a gift, but was stunned at the checkout when he expected her to pay for the expensive outfit. To save face, she paid herself. Once they settled in, Baixu's on-site manager, Sun Yuqi, promptly left to see a friend. Zhenzhen, determined to prevent a repeat of the Wenwen scandal, stuck to Baixu like glue. Frustrated by her constant shadowing, Baixu deliberately threw his phone into a trash can.
While she was distracted searching for it, he slipped away to go street racing with friends. Left alone, Zhenzhen went to the Grand Canyon filming location and met the crew. She apologized for Baixu's absence, explaining he would arrive by 1:30 PM and offered to stand in for him during the morning rehearsal. As the day wore on, Baixu never showed up. The director, furious at the unprofessionalism, packed up and left with his crew.
When Zhenzhen finally reached Sun Yuqi by phone, the manager berated her for losing track of Baixu and demanded she find him. Worried for his safety, as she knew he was normally very serious about work, Zhenzhen spent the entire night searching for him alone in the unfamiliar city. Despairing on a street corner, Zhenzhen was approached by Eva, a friend of Chen Tianhao.
Eva explained that Zheng Baixu had been arrested for illegal street racing and that her husband, a lawyer who handles Chen Tianhao’s overseas affairs, was already arranging his bail. Zhenzhen rushed with Eva to the police station. They learned the racers were being investigated for endangering public safety, facing serious charges, but Zheng Baixu appeared entirely unconcerned.
With the music video shoot postponed for two days while the location was rescheduled, Eva suggested they use the time to visit Chen Tianhao's daughter, Xiaoxiao, who lived with her and was Zheng Baixu's number one fan. Zheng Baixu happily agreed. At Eva's home, Xiaoxiao was overjoyed to see her idol. She introduced her friend, Carrie, who promptly declared Justin Bieber more handsome, much to Xiaoxiao's annoyance. Xiaoxiao then pulled Zheng Baixu aside, saying she had something important to discuss with him in private.
