Zheng Baixu had been isolating himself at an old house, avoiding everyone. His older sister, Fang Yiran, finally managed to convince him to come home, revealing that even Yang Zhenzhen had been searching for him everywhere. Upon his return, Zheng Baixu’s father questioned his prolonged absence and reclusive behavior. He sternly informed Zheng Baixu that Chen Tianhao was already planning to sell him off at a discounted price, comparing him to "rotten cabbage."

This news deeply affected Zheng Baixu, who became visibly upset. His father, however, then softened, reassuring his son that despite the harsh words, he would always be there for him and would plan everything to help him overcome this difficult period, provided Zheng Baixu promised to listen to him. Meanwhile, Yang Zhenzhen and Jason conspired to lure Zheng Baixu out of hiding.

Yang Zhenzhen devised a fabricated story about a horoscope expert named Jennifer Lawrence, claiming that Geminis were destined for a period of extreme bad luck. She specifically warned that yellow and white colors would bring misfortune. Jason then called Zheng Baixu, earnestly trying to convince him to visit his workshop for a hair color change to ward off the supposed bad luck. Zheng Baixu, however, quickly discerned that Yang Zhenzhen was coaching Jason through the call.

Annoyed but resolute, Yang Zhenzhen took the phone, chastising Zheng Baixu for making her search the world over for him and ordering him to attend a fan live broadcast with the company in three days. Zheng Baixu remained silent, his lack of response signaling his refusal, as he suspected this was merely a step in the company’s plan to sell him.

At Star Entertainment, Vice-President Ma, having found a potential new company for Zheng Baixu, sought to claim credit from Chen Tianhao. Her conversation was interrupted by Du Wanqing, who arrived to oppose the immediate sale. Du Wanqing argued that selling Zheng Baixu now, while his popularity was spiraling due to negative publicity, would result in significant losses for the company, given the substantial effort invested in training him.

Vice-President Ma countered, asserting that it was a simple economic principle to cut losses on "garbage stocks" before their value depreciated further. Du Wanqing retorted that artists required careful promotion and management, and that premature sales would make the company appear to be "trading humans." Chen Tianhao intervened, urging both Vice-Presidents to prioritize the company’s revenue and avoid impulsiveness. He concluded that the matter of Zheng Baixu’s future would be planned for the longer term.

Separately, Nu Fang, a smaller entertainment company, took on a commercial gig to stay afloat, with all their artists, including Yu Zirui, performing. During the event, Xia Yuan called Yang Zhenzhen, requesting her to purchase iodophor and cotton swabs to treat Yu Zirui, who had injured his leg while helping move props. Yang Zhenzhen quickly arrived to assist. Unbeknownst to her, Zheng Baixu had returned to his home, which Yang Zhenzhen had meticulously cleaned.

He found numerous handwritten notes from her, playfully demanding he contact her and detailing how she had tampered with his home systems, like shutting off the swimming pool's water inlet. He called her, but Yang Zhenzhen, engrossed in Yu Zirui's performance despite his injury, did not notice. Xia Yuan, witnessing Yang Zhenzhen’s admiration, encouraged her to seize the moment and confess her feelings to Yu Zirui, emphasizing that opportunities are for the prepared.

After the performance, Nu Fang's artists gathered to celebrate. The conversation naturally shifted to Zheng Baixu, given Yang Zhenzhen's role as his assistant. Xia Yuan jokingly suggested Yang Zhenzhen abandon Star Entertainment and join them at Nu Fang. However, Yu Zirui defended Yang Zhenzhen, stating she would never abandon Zheng Baixu during his difficult period. Yang Zhenzhen began drinking heavily, hoping to muster the courage to confess to Yu Zirui.

Unfortunately, Gu Bin repeatedly brought up "Sister Li," whom he regarded as a wealthy "stepping stone" for Yu Zirui's career, despite Yu Zirui's visible discomfort. This persistent and crude discussion about Sister Li spoiled the mood, and Yang Zhenzhen was ultimately unable to confess her feelings to Yu Zirui. Yang Zhenzhen then accompanied a heavily intoxicated Xia Yuan home.

On their way, Xia Yuan continued to push Yang Zhenzhen to confess to Yu Zirui, even suggesting she simply say "I like you." Yang Zhenzhen, however, lamented that Gu Bin's persistent interjections had prevented her from confessing. Only after returning home did Yang Zhenzhen recall her primary objective: continuing her search for Zheng Baixu.

She discovered multiple missed calls from him on her phone and, realizing how late it was, sent him a voice message promising to call him back the following morning. Zheng Baixu listened to her message, then stumbled upon alarming entertainment news on his television. The report stated that numerous of his city advertisements were being prematurely taken down due to the public boycott sparked by his recent press conference outburst.

This news plunged him back into despair, and he began to ignore Yang Zhenzhen's subsequent calls, hanging up on her repeatedly. Meanwhile, Xia Yuan, still advocating for Yang Zhenzhen's confession, warned her about Gu Bin's influence on Yu Zirui and the possibility of him being swayed to pursue Sister Li. The next morning, Yang Zhenzhen received a call from Du Wanqing, summoning her to the office.
