Dressed in local attire, they walked to the beach, making up for a missed sunrise by watching the beautiful sunset of Peixin Island together. Back at their guesthouse, Jin Ran sensed Yuan Lai's misunderstanding about his personal life.
He intentionally entered her room to make a video call to his godson, Alex, in Japan, introducing Yuan Lai as his girlfriend. Alex's innocent conversation clarified that Jin Ran was only a guardian to him and a friend to Alex's mother, Gu Sa, effectively resolving Yuan Lai's long-standing misunderstanding. As the romantic tension grew between them, and they leaned in for a kiss, Zhao Chengzhi called, interrupting the moment.
Jin Ran answered, and Zhao Chengzhi angrily accused him of unfair competition and "abducting" Yuan Lai, expressing his intent to come to Peixin Island. After the call, Jin Ran tried to playfully flirt with Yuan Lai again, but she shyly sent him back to his room. Meanwhile, at the airport, Fei confronted Linda, who was boarding a bus with the clients. She then ominously suggested that after today, their colleague status might change.
Jin Ran went to Bo Re Valley to request an early check-in. The manager refused, explaining that the establishment was a private retreat for Buddhist practitioners, not a commercial hotel, and had only accepted the booking for the 30th due to a friendship with Jin Ran's contact. Concurrently, Yuan Lai found that all other five-star hotels on the island were fully booked. She learned that a generous client with the surname Ji had booked numerous rooms across several hotels.
Jin Ran and Yuan Lai quickly realized that Ji Aoting was behind this, attempting to monopolize accommodations to sabotage their project. With the clients arriving soon and no available lodging, they decided to head to the airport to pick them up first and strategize from there.
