Zou Siqi lied, claiming it belonged to her "little aunt's cousin's colleague's friend," an engineer abroad who simply needed someone to care for it. Du Xiaosu suggested Zou Siqi and He Qunfei live there, stating she didn't want to join in the fun.
He Qunfei quickly intervened, stating it would be inappropriate for him to live with Zou Siqi alone, effectively leaving Du Xiaosu no choice but to accept the offer herself. Shortly after the meeting, Lin Xiangyuan went to the financial department to finalize the reimbursement for the white dress as "office supplies" via a phone call. He then personally visited Zou Siqi at her new apartment.
