Ding Ning was very happy when Guan Wen publicly acknowledged their relationship. It was a formal recognition from Guan Wen. Ding Ning asked his secretary about getting a high-end custom suit, as he wanted to meet Guan Wen's family in the most formal way. Ding Ning also bought many health products for Guan Wen's parents, which Guan Wen happened to see. Guan Wen advised Ding Ning not to prepare too much, as her mother would already be very happy as long as Ding Ning visited.

Chen Xuanxuan thought about what her good friend said, and she realized that He Yifei might truly like her. At this moment, He Yifei came over, and Chen Xuanxuan thought he might still be angry with her, but He Yifei said he wasn't. Chen Xuanxuan worried that He Yifei would be sad because she rejected his confession, but he said he also felt he shouldn't put too much pressure on her, especially since she had just gotten divorced.

Ding Ning told Guan Wen about this and sought her opinion, as they would have a long-distance relationship if he went abroad for three years. Guan Wen fully supported Ding Ning, and with her encouragement, he felt more confident.

The day for Ding Ning's departure arrived, and Guan Wen initially chose not to go see him off, fearing that she would feel sad. However, she changed her mind and went to the parking lot to send him off. However, she was intercepted by Lei Zong and Pete, who forcefully took her away. Ding Ning called Guan Wen, but she didn't answer the phone. Ding Ning called the company and learned that Pete and Lei Zong took Guan Wen away.

Ding Ning thought they might trouble Guan Wen, but he found them kneeling and begging Guan Wen to intercede for Pete. Lei Zong was stunned as the whole scene of them kidnapping Guan Wen was recorded on CCTV. Ding Ning missed his flight due to Guan Wen, but he realized that Guan Wen was more important than going abroad. He decided not to go to Singapore. After the incident, Ding Ning was more certain that he needed Guan Wen more than his job. Guan Wen stayed at Wan Li, and now Ding Ning and Guan Wen's relationship was even stronger.
