Ding Ning learned that Guan Wen had made plans to meet with a group of people, including Pete. He didn't allow her to go and said he could handle the situation. Guan Wen found it strange why Ding Ning didn't want her to go. Ding Ning explained that such a dinner gathering was not suitable for her. Without giving Guan Wen a chance to argue, Ding Ning left with another colleague. Curious about Ding Ning's dinner gathering, Guan Wen decided to follow and see what was going on. Ding Ning had indeed drunk a lot and was discussing work with Pete. In this state, he would easily get drunk with so much alcohol. Guan Wen noticed Ding Ning drinking heavily and knew he couldn't handle it all.

Pete intentionally kept filling Ding Ning's glass and made sharp and sarcastic remarks. Soon, Ding Ning passed out. Guan Wen saw this and went over to help him drink. Pete tried to make Guan Wen drink, but she accidentally spilled the drink on Pete's face. As Pete was about to retaliate, Ding Ning unexpectedly grabbed Pete's hand. In reality, Ding Ning wasn't drunk; he had faked it because he knew it was a trap set up by Pete, and he wanted to avoid getting too drunk and ending up in the hospital. In the car, Ding Ning wanted to kiss Guan Wen, but she avoided it. They both still had feelings for each other, and they worried about each other, but there were misunderstandings between them that hadn't been resolved.

Close friend Xiao Yan Cheng also learned about Ding Ning's recent adventure and called to "greet" him. Jing Zhiqiu took her son to the hospital for a checkup, while Wang Liren also visited the hospital, trying to avoid being recognized. He was embarrassed when he realized the doctor was female, but he complied when she asked him to take off his pants for examination. The doctor found that Wang Liren was likely under too much stress and there was nothing serious, so she prescribed some medicine and let him leave. As Wang Liren was about to get the medicine, he saw Jing Zhiqiu coming with her son and quickly left.

For this year's International Women's Day, Guan Wen sought other agents to encourage more businesses to participate. One of the businesses mentioned that Pete had arranged a meeting with them in the afternoon. Guan Wen hurriedly contacted other agents, and they agreed to participate. Jing Zhiqiu learned about Wang Liren's recent stress at work and asked them to share the client list with her so she could help.

While working late at the company, Guan Wen noticed the water dispenser was empty. As she was about to heat water, the power suddenly went out. She heard footsteps approaching and hit the person on the head with a water bottle, only to realize it was Ding Ning. Guan Wen quickly put a band-aid on Ding Ning's head and said that, after her efforts, Pete would surely call the next day to agree to participate in the International Women's Day event. Surprisingly, the next day, Pete did call and agreed to join the event, but Lei Zong took credit for Guan Wen's work, which angered her subordinate, Da Luo. This incident served as a warning to Guan Wen.

Jing Zhiqiu made an appointment with the wife of Zhang, Wang Liren's superior, for afternoon tea to try and secure more opportunities for her husband. Through her persistent efforts, she managed to build a relationship with the woman, who promised to support Wang Liren's company.
