With Chen Xuanxuan's father's help, Lin Hao was almost certain to get the promotion this time. He even invited his colleagues to dinner, and they all congratulated him. Jing Zhiqiu happened to meet Lisa and her boyfriend while going out to eat. At first, Jing Zhiqiu pretended to be regretful for not saying goodbye to Lisa. However, Lisa honestly admitted that her job change was related to Jing Zhiqiu. She wanted to change her life and advised Jing Zhiqiu to cherish Wang Liren, as he was a good man.

After dinner, Lin Hao was planning to go singing with his colleagues but received a message from Chen Xuanxuan, asking for his help. He quickly rushed back home, only to find Chen Xuanxuan searching frantically for her ID card. Seeing the mess, Lin Hao thought of his colleague Xiao Yun, who had also congratulated him on his promotion. Xiao Yun then invited Lin Hao to play soccer. While leaving, Lin Hao used an excuse to avoid Chen Xuanxuan, who didn't suspect anything.

Early in the morning, Lin Hao sprayed cologne and was about to go play soccer when Chen Xuanxuan smelled it. He found a quick excuse, saying he had an appointment with someone named Xiao Yun. Chen Xuanxuan didn't think too much of it. After the soccer game, they all went to eat together. Accidentally, Xiao Yun spilled juice on Lin Hao's clothes. He went to the restroom to clean up and met Xiao Yun there. Xiao Yun intentionally seduced Lin Hao, who quickly fell for it and invited her to a hotel. Once there, Xiao Yun pretended not to want to ruin anyone's family, but Lin Hao admitted he didn't even like Chen Xuanxuan and promised to find a way to break up with her. They spent the night together at the hotel.

During a meeting, Lei Zong was supposed to present the plan for International Women's Day, but the printer ran out of ink and the computer malfunctioned. Lei Zong couldn't give the presentation, showing that he wasn't dedicated to his work and relied on his subordinates to do everything. Ding Ning glanced at Guan Wen; he knew it was all her doing and decided to publicly admonish Lei Zong. Guan Wen's mother called her to inquire about her upcoming blind date, but Guan Wen evaded the question with an excuse. Lei Zong suspected that Guan Wen was responsible for the computer and printer issues, so he deliberately tried to sow discord between her and her subordinates.

Ding Ning witnessed this and didn't like people who engaged in such behind-the-scenes tactics. So he called the HR department to improve the assessment system for directors, intending to punish Lei Zong.

Chen Xuanxuan received a call from Lin Hao, saying he was going to play soccer. She wanted to ask more questions, but Lin Hao used sweet talk to avoid further inquiries. Guan Wen felt she had gained weight recently, so she decided to go to the gym. Ding Ning learned about this and went there as well. He arrived just in time to stop a young boy from harassing Guan Wen. Ding Ning knew that Guan Wen didn't eat breakfast, so he intentionally invited their colleagues to have breakfast together to ensure she had a proper meal.

While shopping for books at the bookstore, Jing Zhiqiu suddenly overheard a lecture on marriage. She, too, wanted to find the right way for her and Wang Liren to get along. Following her mother's request, Guan Wen reluctantly went on a blind date. To make the potential suitor lose interest in her, she intentionally dressed extravagantly.

Unfortunately, Ding Ning saw the whole scene and couldn't help but laugh. He then conveniently arranged a meeting to get Guan Wen out of the awkward situation. However, Guan Wen had to go to the office in her "eccentric outfit." As she arrived at the building, she hurriedly wiped off her lipstick, and Ding Ning saw everything. Then Ding Ning announced the meeting's cancellation, making Guan Wen feel that he was deliberately targeting her.

Recently, Wang Liren had been going home early, wanting to be close to his wife. However, due to his physical condition, he always found excuses to reject Jing Zhiqiu's signals for intimacy.
