Ding Ning met with his good friends and discussed their future performance. They found it challenging to compete with each other. Guan Wen and her two friends were drinking and venting their frustrations. Jing Zhiqiu talked about her mother-in-law coming to their house every day, pressuring her to have a second child, while Wang Liren was always busy with work and even slept in the study. Guan Wen thought there were no major issues between Jing Zhiqiu and Wang Liren, but Chen Xuanxuan was surprised that Jing Zhiqiu tried to reconcile with her husband when they argued, but Guan Wen advised her and Lin Hao to break up. Guan Wen always felt that Lin Hao was not suitable for Chen Xuanxuan.

During a company meeting, Guan Wen analyzed the situation of the brands moving into their mall. She believed the focus should be on the entry of the TL company she used to work for. If they invested a lot of time in renovating and improving products in Wanli, it would be more beneficial than having more brands. She took her subordinates to negotiate with TL, but before the negotiation began, Guan Wen received a call from her mother saying that Guan Tengfei was covered in blood and foaming at the mouth. Worried, she rushed home and ran into Lydia at the doorstep. Guan Wen apologized hurriedly, claiming that she had urgent matters to attend to. Lydia said it was alright on the surface, but she was thinking about how to reject Wanli.

Upon returning home, Guan Wen found Guan Pengfei sitting on the sofa. Guan Tengfei came back covered in paint, and their mother scolded him when he tried to wash up in the bathroom. To get their mother's attention, Guan Tengfei pretended to faint, which made Guan Wen angry. Guan Wen rushed back to the company for the meeting, hoping to discuss the TL's entry matter in time.

During the company meeting, Wang Liren and Jing Zhiqiu planned to leave together to pick up their son from school. Just as they were about to leave, Lisa stopped Wang Liren and brought up work-related matters. Wang Liren asked other subordinates to handle it. The skirt Jing Zhiqiu was wearing that day was a dress Wang Liren had bought for her when she was still a star and had to attend an award ceremony. Jing Zhiqiu said there was already a rift between them, and she had wanted to communicate with Wang Liren, but he was always busy with work, and they didn't get a chance to talk.

The headhunting company found Lisa and discussed her job requirements. Initially, Lisa didn't want to go for an interview, but after learning that the general manager was a wealthy heir from a prominent family, born in the 1980s, she agreed to the interview. The headhunter then informed Guan Wen, who was delighted by the news.

In the morning, Guan Wen was informed at the company that Lydia had complained about her, and Pete had not shown up at the time. Ding Ning severely reprimanded Guan Wen, asking what was going on at her home. Guan Wen refused to explain but promised to resolve the matter quickly. The headquarters also gave Ding Ning a strict order to deal with Guan Wen, leaving Guan Wen troubled.

Guan Wen met with Lydia alone and proposed her own way to resolve the issue, but Lydia found it absurd that they had suddenly changed the schedule. Besides, they still had conflicts, so she didn't think it was possible for her to help Guan Wen. Guan Wen's subordinates went to Ding Ning and defended Guan Wen, telling him the reason for her hasty departure. Guan Wen told Lydia that she could help her secure a position in a smaller city since Lydia hadn't closed any deals during this period. Maybe the one leaving next would be her. Lydia remained unwilling to agree and angrily splashed water on Guan Wen's face. Guan Wen remained calm and hoped that Lydia would still help her.

After learning about Guan Wen's situation, Ding Ning personally went to the company to apologize for her. The headquarters agreed to give Guan Wen one more day. Chen Xuanxuan knew that Guan Wen was busy these days, so she didn't want to disturb her and left with her luggage. Since she didn't have her ID, she planned to spend the night at a shop. While hiding from security at the shop, she almost got scared by He Yifei. He Yifei asked why she was there, and she said she came to pick up her belongings. Seeing her luggage, He Yifei realized that Chen Xuanxuan was homeless and offered her a blanket.

Jing Zhiqiu originally wanted to have a good talk with Wang Liren, but he got drunk again.
