Jing Zhiqiu confided in two close friends about her situation with Wang Liren, and she has started to resist this marriage. On the other hand, Chen Xuanxuan tells Guan Wen that she plans to reconcile Jing Zhiqiu and Wang Liren. Guan Wen suggests that she can arrange to meet Wang Liren, while Chen Xuanxuan will meet Jing Zhiqiu. Ding Ning learns that Guan Wen and another person have booked tickets to Lijiang, and that person is Wang Liren.

When Wang Liren finds out, he makes an excuse to go to Yunnan as well. At the airport, Guan Wen waits for Wang Liren, and unexpectedly, Ding Ning also shows up. Ding Ning deliberately engages Wang Liren in a work-related discussion to keep him away. Ding Ning wants to know the relationship between Guan Wen and Wang Liren, but Guan Wen dodges the question. Ding Ning goes to Kunming for a meeting, but his mind is still on the matter between Guan Wen and Wang Liren.

Wang Liren and Jing Zhiqiu finally sit down to have a proper talk. Wang Liren takes the initiative to apologize to Jing Zhiqiu. In fact, Jing Zhiqiu had already guessed Guan Wen and Chen Xuanxuan's intentions. Jing Zhiqiu believes that when problems arise, one should take the initiative to resolve them rather than avoid them. Wang Liren doesn't want to make things difficult for Jing Zhiqiu, but he is unsure about the future with Guan Wen. He doesn't know how to explain it to her. While drinking alone, Wang Liren recalls the first time he met Jing Zhiqiu. She was being harassed by two thugs, and he intervened, leading to them being together.

Chen Xuanxuan goes to Yunnan, and Lin Hao brings his lover, Xiao Yun, to his home. Lin Hao plans to drag things along for now, but he intends to divorce Chen Xuanxuan later. Xiao Yun tells him that she can't wait, especially since she is pregnant. Jing Zhiqiu tells her best friend about her argument with Wang Liren yesterday, and Chen Xuanxuan suddenly says some discouraging words, causing Guan Wen and Jing Zhiqiu to suspect that Chen Xuanxuan must have had a fight with Lin Hao. Coincidentally, today is the Water Splashing Festival, and Wang Liren specially brings water guns.

Although Jing Zhiqiu doesn't say anything, she is secretly delighted. Guan Wen watches Chen Xuanxuan and Jing Zhiqiu having fun when suddenly someone pours water on them from behind. It turns out to be Ding Ning. Ding Ning playfully embraces Guan Wen and asks who the woman next to Wang Liren is. However, Guan Wen never explicitly revealed the nature of her relationship with Jing Zhiqiu. Later, the group goes to play a treasure hunt game arranged by Wang Liren. Guan Wen accidentally falls, and Ding Ning jumps down to rescue her. However, they both get stuck because of Ding Ning's injured foot. Ding Ning quickly bandages Guan Wen's wounds and sincerely expresses that no matter how she treats him, he will always be sincere to her.

They spend the entire day together and talk about their theses and competing for exchange opportunities. Guan Wen reveals that she has never competed for an exchange opportunity and even offers to give hers to Ding Ning. Ding Ning suddenly realizes that he misunderstood Guan Wen for so long, and he hopes for a chance to start over with her. Guan Wen also has feelings for Ding Ning, and they share a kiss. Unexpectedly, Chen Xuanxuan arrives at that moment, but after Guan Wen and Ding Ning openly discuss their relationship, they officially become a couple.

Guan Wen and Ding Ning are eventually rescued, and Jing Zhiqiu and Chen Xuanxuan feel that Ding Ning is a rare talent and ask him to cherish it. After returning home, Jing Zhiqiu and Wang Liren go to a convenience store to eat instant noodles. However, two drunken men take an interest in Jing Zhiqiu and start harassing her. This leads to a fight between Wang Liren and the men.

Meanwhile, Guan Wen and Ding Ning are shopping, and they have a great time together, like a young couple in love. Chen Xuanxuan eventually decides to call Lin Hao. At first, Lin Hao doesn't want to pick up the phone, but Xiao Yun intentionally answers it and makes some noises in the background. Chen Xuanxuan starts to suspect that Lin Hao might be having an affair.
