He Na, the Demon King, returned to the demon palace with Fu. While He Na stated that he wanted Fu to pay for his actions, Luo Ning, even in death, had forgiven Fu, preventing He Na from killing him. He Na, however, declared that he himself would never forgive Fu. Luo Ning's death left many questions, particularly concerning her missing immortal energy.

Shang Yurong and others expressed their deep sorrow, wondering why Luo Ning, despite being with Fu who possessed the power of the Demon King—the same one who had an old grudge with Immortal Ze Shui—still lost her life without leaving behind any immortal energy. They speculated if it was lost or if Luo Ge, with his cultivation, should have found it.

He Na later informed Fu that he had removed the evil spirit from him but sternly warned him against contacting the evil creature sealed beneath the Four Seasons Monument. Fu admitted he owed Luo Ge and Luo Ning his life and sought to atone for his actions, lamenting that Luo Ning's death was his fault. He Na confirmed that Luo Ning's immortal energy was indeed missing, despite his continued search in the Great Wilderness and the demon palace.

He Na ordered his guards to care for Fu but keep him in chains and ensure the protective boundaries around him were checked thrice daily. Meanwhile, the Immortal Master, who had watched Luo Ning grow up, initially appeared deeply saddened by her demise, with his subordinates noting he had not emerged for days. One subordinate even offered him a specially prepared Xin Yi Perfume to help with his supposed grief.

However, it soon became apparent that the Immortal Master’s mind had been corrupted by an evil spirit. With a sinister look, he gloated that since Luo Ning insisted on marrying against his wishes, her beloved would now pay with his life and serve his own agenda. His subordinate confronted him, accusing him of bringing about Luo Ning's tragic death through his obsession and the evil spirit. While Luo Ge had spared him, she herself could not let it go.

In the Immortal Palace, Luo Ge was consumed by grief over his sister’s passing. Liu Shao played the Bone-Corroding Harp, recalling Luo Ning's unwavering pursuit of love, which tragically mirrored Immortal Ze Shui's fated path with the Demon King ten thousand years ago. Luo Ge, heartbroken, deeply regretted his past attempts to control Luo Ning, believing a different outcome might have been possible had he allowed her more freedom and let her live by her own desires.

Liu Shao observed that both Luo Ning and Immortal Ze Shui possessed an undeniable tenacity in love, and perhaps their beloved was their inevitable destiny. She affirmed that true love, even if it leads to an unfortunate end, leaves no room for regret. Luo Ge, leaning on Liu Shao for support, expressed his profound gratitude for her unwavering presence, which kept him from succumbing to despair.

He asked her to promise they would never let go of each other, regardless of future challenges. While Fu remained imprisoned, the Immortal Master secretly visited him, manipulating his dreams. In a vivid dream, Luo Ning appeared to Fu, pleading for him to save her from a "very cold and dark place" and asserting that she was waiting for him. She symbolically took with her the perfumes associated with her, urging Fu to come find her in that desolate place.

Waking with renewed hope, Fu confronted the Immortal Master, accusing him of causing conflicts that led to Luo Ning's death. The Immortal Master, however, deflected blame, instead revealing a shocking truth: Luo Ning's immortal energy was not truly lost but was intertwined with Immortal Ze Shui's and had been secretly hidden beneath the Four Seasons Monument by the sealed entity and sealed by powerful boundaries.

He then promised Fu that if he were to break open the Four Seasons Monument, it would allow the sealed entity (Black Moonlight) to ascend and, in turn, revive Luo Ning with immense divine power. The Immortal Master offered Fu this power to not only resurrect Luo Ning but also to bring back their unborn child, if Fu pledged his complete obedience.

Realizing that the Four Seasons Monument was heavily sealed, Fu understood he needed immense divine power to break it. He readily pledged allegiance to the Immortal Master, voluntarily allowing his spirit vein to be controlled in exchange for a portion of the "Supreme God's" power. Meanwhile, He Na, still recuperating from severe injuries sustained in the Great Wilderness battle, tried to aid Fu, only to discover an unremovable evil spirit fused with Fu's spirit vein.

Fu revealed his pact, stating he needed more power to confront Luo Ge and the Immortal Palace, despite He Na's warnings that it wouldn't be enough. He Na pleaded with Fu not to sacrifice the Three Realms for his personal obsession. However, Fu, consumed by the desire to save Luo Ning and their unborn child, declared his unwavering resolve. He then seized He Na’s water energy, asserting his need for its power to cleave the Four Seasons Monument.

He Na, weakened, cried out in pain as Fu, expressing a swift apology, took his brother's vital energy, causing him to fall gravely ill. As Liu Shao diligently practiced with the Crown Wheel, she witnessed memories of the God of the Sun, specifically observing the profound sorrow etched on her face while sealing the Four Seasons Monument. Intrigued by this, Liu Shao questioned Luo Ge about the underlying tragedy.

Luo Ge confirmed that the Sun and Moonlight Gods, despite their deep love for each other, were destined to be apart due to their inherent incompatibility. Their union, which began in the Yin-yang Cave, had caused celestial disruptions, including an eclipse, and threatened to plunge the Three Realms into chaos. Consequently, for the welfare of all beings, the two deities made the painful decision to separate and enter solitary cultivation.

Liu Shao questioned why such events transpired even after their separation. Luo Ge explained that during the Gods' seclusion, the Demon King sacrificed himself for Immortal Ze Shui, leaving both the immortal and demon realms leaderless. This power vacuum allowed the myriad obsessions and desires of the mortal world to coalesce into a formidable evil spirit that wreaked havoc across the Three Realms.

The God of the Sun resolved to perish alongside this evil spirit, but the God of the Moonlight, unable to bear her sacrifice, absorbed the destructive essence into his own body, intending to seal it himself. However, the immense evil spirit consumed him, corrupting his very being until he was no longer himself. For the greater good of the Three Realms, the God of the Sun was tragically forced to slay her beloved.

Luo Ge further revealed that the God of the Sun's powerful sword attack had split the God of the Moonlight's heart in two: the half corrupted by the evil spirit was sealed beneath the Four Seasons Monument, while the remaining untainted half resided within Luo Ge himself.

Luo Ge confessed his deep apprehension, fearing that since he carried the other half of the God of the Moonlight's heart, he too might one day succumb to the evil spirit's control and bring chaos to the Three Realms. Liu Shao reassured him that he was inherently different—he was Luo Ge, not the evil creature or the God of the Moonlight, and would not be consumed.

Liu Shao then expressed her own worry, fearing that she might not be able to protect the Three Realms or Luo Ge should he ever lose control. Liu Shao, however, steadfastly promised that if such a day came, she would be the one to protect him.

She reflected that, if faced with a similar choice, she would likely follow the God of the Sun’s example, as preventing a loved one from being controlled by evil was the ultimate act of respect. With He Na's water energy now coursing through him, Fu immediately summoned the various demon clans.

He declared that He Na had relapsed from his injuries and had temporarily transferred the Demon King's position to him, tasking him with leading the demons and restoring their glory. When some demons questioned the severity of He Na's illness and their loyalty to the Demon King in White, Fu calmly stated his brother merely needed rest, promising to return the throne upon his recovery.

However, when one demon directly challenged his authority, asserting allegiance only to He Na, Fu forcefully demonstrated his newfound power. After making an example of the defiant demon by killing him, he sternly asked if anyone else harbored doubts. Faced with such a display, the remaining demons, including Bai Feng, quickly knelt and swore allegiance to Fu as their new king.

Fu then commanded them to prepare for a grand campaign to conquer not only the demon realm but also the human and immortal realms. Mr. Tai, a seasoned observer, watched the entire unsettling scene unfold, lamenting his past indulgence of Fu. News quickly spread that He Na had transferred the Demon King's position to Fu, sparking concern across the realms, with many fearing Fu's likely ambition now that he held such power.

Liu Shao, finding the news suspicious, expressed her deep concern for He Na's safety. Luo Ge, though initially reluctant to involve himself given Fu's role in Luo Ning's death, conceded that He Na, due to his trusting nature, might indeed be vulnerable to his brother’s schemes. While Luo Ge doubted Fu would resort to fratricide, Liu Shao insisted on personally venturing to the demon palace to ensure He Na's well-being.

Recognizing Liu Shao’s significantly improved cultivation, Luo Ge agreed, trusting she could protect herself, and cautioned her to be careful. Liu Shao promised to be safe and to use her Moon Bell to alert him if any danger arose. Meanwhile, Mr. Tai found He Na, who appeared frail and his hair had turned white, confirming to Mr. Tai that Fu had indeed usurped his position.
