Song of the Moon Episode 26 Recap
> Song of the Moon Recap
At the Immortal Palace, the crisis surrounding the Four Seasons Monument intensified, as Liu Shao had already retrieved five talisman pearls, and obtaining the sixth would cause her severe harm. With the Monument on the verge of cracking, Shang Yurong quickly went to retrieve Wansui and the Glazed Fruit for Liu Shao, anticipating her need.
Meanwhile, Zhuo Qiuxian and the Immortal Master struggled to suppress the Monument, but the increasing evil spirit of the Black Moon taunted them, mocking their ineffective formations. The Immortal Master was gravely affected and nearly collapsed. Fortunately, Shang Yurong arrived in time, helping to stabilize the Monument and evacuate the injured Immortal Master for treatment. Separately, Wansui realized Liu Shao's absence and Wang Jian's unusual disappearance, signaling that something was amiss.
Luo Ge, sensing the drastic changes in heaven and earth, later learned of Liu Shao's situation from Wansui. He found Liu Shao in a weakened, exhausted state. Unbeknownst to Luo Ge, Liu Shao had already sought Phoenix Tears from the Immortal Palace, preparing to make him forget her, believing this would free him from the torment of the Soul-devouring Spell and spare him the pain of witnessing her eventual death.
However, Luo Ge, seeing her vulnerability, assured her that he would protect her regardless of his identity as an immortal or a mortal, as long as they were together. Their conversation was interrupted when Xue rushed in with urgent news: Wang Jian had been captured by a powerful demon. This demon was Fu, who had been gathering human masters to extract their pure demon energy to heal Luo Ning, whose immortal energy was severely damaged from an accidental attack.
Luo Ning, however, firmly refused to allow innocent people to be harmed, demanding that Fu release them. Though initially reluctant, Fu ultimately complied with Luo Ning's wishes. It was at this critical moment that Luo Ge and Liu Shao arrived to rescue the captives. Luo Ning joyfully embraced her brother, Luo Ge, only to find he did not remember her.
Liu Shao briefly explained Luo Ge's current condition and then, recognizing Luo Ning's severe injury, offered her the precious Glazed Fruit for healing. The Glazed Fruit, a rare treasure, greatly aided Luo Ning’s recovery. Despite having found her brother, Luo Ning chose to remain with Fu to continue her recuperation, stating that Luo Ge now had Liu Shao. Fu, pleased, offered to take Luo Ning to his home among the Aquatic Demons.
Wansui expressed concern about Fu, but Liu Shao simply acknowledged that she had given Luo Ning the Glazed Fruit given to her by the Immortal Palace, which Wansui realized Liu Shao had been saving for Luo Ge's tribulation. Meanwhile, the Demon King in White investigated the widespread chaos in the mortal world, learning that Ao Yin, the son of Ao Hen, had escaped the Immortal Palace and was orchestrating minor demons to collect spiritual energy.
This energy was being used to forge elixirs to strengthen an evil entity beneath the Four Seasons Monument, threatening its suppression. The Demon King in White sought out Liu Shao, explaining the dire situation and requesting Luo Ge's assistance, as he alone might not be enough to defeat Ao Yin. Liu Shao, however, was hesitant to involve Luo Ge, fearing that interrupting his cultivation in his current mortal state could lead to his downfall and imperil all three realms.
Despite the Demon King in White's offer to help her, Liu Shao then revealed her heart-wrenching decision: she had already lost six talisman pearls and would sacrifice the seventh the very next day. She implored the Demon King in White to keep this a secret, wishing only to spend one last day with Luo Ge and do something for him.
That evening, Liu Shao prepared a meal, which she claimed she had purchased from town, and offered Luo Ge a cup of wine into which she had secretly poured the Phoenix Tears. Luo Ge, sensing her unusual demeanor, nonetheless drank the wine. He confessed that his identity as an Immortal or a mortal did not matter; what truly mattered was having Liu Shao by his side, as her presence made every moment cherished.
After Luo Ge finished his heartfelt words, Liu Shao, with deep sadness, embraced him. As the Phoenix Tears began to take effect, Luo Ge was overcome with excruciating pain. Liu Shao, with a heavy heart, rendered him unconscious and returned the Moon Bell to him, which then merged with another, signifying its completion.
While Luo Ge was unconscious, Liu Shao, accompanied by the Demon King in White, journeyed to the now desolate Forest of Spirit Fire within the Mansion of Wu Yang Duke, where she had previously harvested spirit fire. This forest was now Ao Yin's stronghold, and Liu Shao intended to confront him to break the Soul-devouring Spell for Luo Ge.
Back with Luo Ge, Wansui observed a miraculous development: the Soul-devouring Spell, which had tormented Luo Ge, began to flee his body, seemingly terrified of the Phoenix Tears. Realizing this unexpected interaction, Luo Ge, steadfast in his refusal to forget Liu Shao, defied the Master's warnings and deliberately pulled the Soul-devouring Spell back into his body. He was determined to use its fear of the Phoenix Tears to conquer it, declaring that he would rather die than forget Liu Shao.
At the Forest of Spirit Fire, Ao Yin, now more powerful than his mother, launched a fierce assault on Liu Shao and the Demon King in White. He expressed his intention to extract their vitality to please his master. The Demon King in White was quickly overpowered and bound, leaving Liu Shao vulnerable. Just as Ao Yin prepared to strike, Luo Ge arrived. He immediately pierced Ao Yin, who dissolved into a swirling black mist.
Ao Yin, enraged, taunted Luo Ge, questioning how an Immortal who had succumbed to love could still claim his divine status. Luo Ge, having fully reclaimed his power, silenced Ao Yin with a powerful palm strike, scattering the black mist entirely. In the immediate aftermath of Ao Yin's defeat, life surged through the mortal world once more; birdsong filled the air, and flowers bloomed.
The Immortal Palace was revitalized with abundant spiritual energy, and all traces of the malevolent spirit vanished. Xiyin Mountain, which had been sinking, stabilized, and the protective barrier of the Four Seasons Monument became firm. Witnessing these profound changes, the immortals rejoiced, knowing that Luo Ge had successfully passed his tribulation and ascended to his rightful place as an Immortal.
