Luo Ge decided to take Fu to the Immortal Palace for detention. He Na, despite being the Demon King, acknowledged that not everyone in the Aquatic Demons listened to him, and he had to watch Fu depart. Fu himself accepted his temporary detainment. Liu Shao apologized to He Na, acknowledging his innocence and difficult position as the Demon King of a cursed race, expressing her desire to help him.

He Na reassured her that Luo Ge, despite appearing cold, would not make things difficult for him. However, Liu Shao insisted that Luo Ge was no longer the Lu Li she knew, describing him as a heartless, emotionless, yet powerful Immortal. He Na, watching his brother leave, declared his firm resolve to prevent such incidents from recurring.

He vowed to strive for what he wanted, ensuring the survival of his people and protecting those he cared about, including Fu and Liu Shao. Before Liu Shao departed, He Na gave her a water hyacinth pendant, explaining that its perceptive abilities were enhanced by the Brahma tree, a gesture of gratitude for her help in awakening it.

As Liu Shao left, He Na secretly vowed that only a Demon Queen was qualified to wear such an accessory, expressing his hope to one day lead his people into the sunlight and welcome her as his Demon Queen. The Immortal Master questioned Bai Feng for allowing Liu Shao to accompany Luo Ge to the demon palace, despite instructing her to keep them apart.

Bai Feng feigned distress, explaining that Liu Shao had followed Luo Ge of her own accord and that Bai Feng, being unfamiliar with Xiyin Mountain and lacking Liu Shao's close relationship with Luo Ning and favor from Luo Ge, found it difficult to restrain her. The Immortal Master then provided Bai Feng with a token, granting her unrestricted movement within the Immortal Palace and promising to inform Luo Ge not to obstruct her in Xiyin Mountain.

Meanwhile, Luo Ge had confined Fu in the Spirit Pool Water Pavilion, ensuring he had access to water since Fu could not be out of water for more than two hours without endangering his life. Luo Ge's act of creating a barrier to confine Fu subtly aggravated an existing injury, though he concealed it from others.

Luo Ning, confined to her room, expressed her boredom with endless scripture copying, lamenting that such studies wouldn't even help her defeat a turtle demon. When Luo Ge returned, she questioned him about bringing a "bad guy" back and playfully asked if she could practice spells on him. Luo Ge firmly denied her request, warning her of the prisoner's cunning nature and revealing he had placed a restrictive barrier around his confinement, detecting anyone within a ten-foot radius.

Luo Ning's attempts to gain permission to visit the mortal world or study at the Palace of Abyssal Mirrors were also rejected. To encourage her, Luo Ge challenged her to learn a specific charm within ten days, remarking on her renewed motivation. Luo Ning found the task incredibly difficult, but Luo Ge then revealed that the very charm he gave her was the key to lifting her own confinement, allowing her to leave.

He then gave her the "Tears of the Half-Demon," explaining it was a promised gift for his return. News of Fu's return to the Immortal Palace reignited ancient resentments among the immortals. They recalled how the Demon King had killed Immortal Ze Shui ten thousand years ago and how the Aquatic Demons had recently caused widespread chaos with the demon string, urging Luo Ge to immediately dispatch an army to wipe out the entire Aquatic Demon race.

When the Immortal Master sought Zhuo Qiuxian's opinion, she argued that immortals cultivated to protect, not to suppress the weak, suggesting they wait for concrete evidence. However, other immortals vehemently countered that demon nature was inherently uncontrollable and the demon string's origin was undeniable proof. Luo Ge intervened, aligning himself with Zhuo Qiuxian despite their usual disagreements.

He asserted that their purpose was to bring stability and protect all beings, emphasizing that punishing an entire race for the actions of a few evil demons would make them no different from the destructive demons themselves. Luo Ge apologized to the Immortal Master for his strong stance. Later, Zhuo Qiuxian sought out Shang Yurong, chastising him for his absence from the Litian Temple discussion.

Shang Yurong claimed he was diligently practicing the Great Sword Formation, which Zhuo Qiuxian had given him, and offered to confront anyone who might have troubled her. Zhuo Qiuxian admitted that Luo Ge had surprisingly shown kindness by supporting her stance against attacking the Aquatic Demons. Shang Yurong playfully teased her about her ability to fight Luo Ge after mastering "Burning Sea," then presented her with some flower marrow he found during his practice, hoping it would be beneficial.

Zhuo Qiuxian, while outwardly chiding him for prioritizing herb picking over practice, was clearly pleased by his gesture. Shang Yurong promised to dedicate himself to training, aiming to prove the prowess of the Palace of Abyssal Mirrors. Despite He Na's assertion that the Luo Ge now residing in the Immortal Palace was merely a powerful immortal devoid of heart and emotion, Liu Shao clung to the hope that he was still Lu Li.

Her unwavering belief was reinforced when, during a vulnerable moment, she felt Luo Ge's heartbeat and recognized it as Lu Li's. She realized that while Luo Ge might not show affection or comfort her, Lu Li would, and that unlike Luo Ge, Lu Li would permit her touch. When Liu Shao pressed him, he denied being Lu Li, but his protective presence confirmed to her that he had never truly left her.

Bai Feng discovered her master, Lu Sheng, had died. Overwhelmed with grief, she vowed to find his killer and exact revenge. Driven by a fierce desire for power, she located Lu Sheng's magical artifact, which had been used to conceal his demonic aura. Using this, she absorbed Ao Hen's demon energy, asserting her dominance over the other demons who initially mistook her new power for their deceased lord's.

She proclaimed herself the new Demon King, commanding the demons to spread chaos throughout the mortal world and collect spirit energy to fuel her cultivation. She declared her intention to become immensely powerful, obtain everything she desired—including Luo Ge and ultimate authority—and eliminate anyone who dared to stand in her path. Luo Ge attempted to use the Xuan Ling Wood to purify his mind and recover from his injuries. However, the process only worsened his condition.

Wansui, observing Luo Ge's deteriorating state, noted that the Xuan Ling Wood itself was withering due to the depletion of its spiritual power. He realized that Luo Ge had been using his own precious immortal energy to nourish the wood, leading to his severe weakness. While Luo Ge was in this vulnerable state, Fu, who had been confined, sensed the instability of the surrounding barrier.

He easily bypassed a smaller prohibition that Luo Ge had placed to prevent someone from visiting him, becoming curious about the identity of the person Luo Ge was trying to keep away. Recognizing the Xuan Ling Wood's need for spiritual nourishment, Liu Shao bravely offered her own Sun divine power, despite Wansui's warnings about the immense pain and potential danger of having her divine energy drained uncontrollably by the tree.

After Liu Shao fainted from overusing her divine power, Luo Ge placed her gently on a bed and remained by her side for an entire day and night, even declining a summons to an important meeting at the Litian Temple. He inwardly acknowledged that he now owed her greatly due to the "sinful bond" Lu Li had created.

When Liu Shao regained consciousness, she mistook her dream for reality, thinking she had seen Lu Li, before realizing it was Luo Ge. He confirmed he was well and thanked her for her actions, explaining that while the partial removal of her spiritual power was painful, it would ultimately allow her to cultivate her divine energy more effectively, potentially allowing the power of the Sun God to become truly her own.

He offered her a pill made with Xuan Ling Wood's spiritual energy, claiming it would benefit her cultivation. However, Liu Shao instantly recognized that Xuan Ling Wood could also clear worldly thoughts and vehemently refused, fearing it would make her forget Lu Li. Luo Ge coolly stated that true love could not be erased by the wood's power, but he deemed worldly affections stubborn and troublesome. Liu Shao retorted that he was the uninteresting one.

She then pointed out the contradiction in his usual aloofness, reminding him how he had allowed her to cling to his sleeve throughout the night, playfully exposing his true concern. Luo Ge, despite his obvious care, insisted he merely did so because he "never owed anyone." An Immortal servant arrived to inform Luo Ge that the mortal world was in chaos due to rampant demons and requested his personal intervention.

Luo Ge agreed to go, explaining to the attendant that while he personally disregarded the displeasure of other immortals over his recent defense of the demons, he could not allow his master, the Immortal Master, to face difficulties because of him. Liu Shao, overhearing, immediately offered to accompany him, citing her mortal origins as a potential asset. After a brief hesitation, Luo Ge consented to her joining him.

The Mansion of Wu Yang Duke had been devastated, with many disciples perishing and even Wang Jian and Xue being surrounded by demons intent on draining their vital energy for their new sovereign. At a critical moment, Luo Ge, accompanied by Liu Shao, descended from the sky. With a single move of his Moon Sword, he intimidated the demonic horde. Wang Jian, seeing Luo Ge, whose appearance resembled Lu Li, grew emotional.

Luo Ge demanded to know the identity of the demons' new king, but they, fearing their new ruler's brutal reprisal, refused to disclose the truth. Just as Luo Ge prepared to punish the malevolent creatures for their cross-realm rampage and the massacre at the Duke's estate, He Na arrived.

He acknowledged Luo Ge's past benevolence in saving his clan at the Palace of Abyssal Mirrors, but then, implying his own authority, He Na asserted that his Aquatic Demon clan had once reigned as the demon kings of the entire demon realm.
