Liu Shao, still deeply intoxicated, leaned against a tree, lost in memories and lamenting the short "lifetime" Lu Li had promised her for just one copper coin. Luo Ge, deeply affected by her emotional words, felt a mix of bitterness and sorrow. His Moon Sword, influenced by his emotions, hovered nearby.

Liu Shao, seeing the sword, lashed out by throwing stones at it, accusing Luo Ge of betraying his past promises and failing to live up to the "myriad blossoms" of their shared history. The Brahma tree, sensing her pain, responded by raining down sympathetic tears. Tearfully, Liu Shao expressed how much she missed Lu Li, but upon realizing Luo Ge was not him, she became agitated and scratched his face.

The Demon King in White, He Na, witnessing this, appeared and misunderstood the situation. When Luo Ge asked about recent developments, Fu of the Aquatic Demons, having used Elder Tai's help to break free from his confinement, revealed that Lu Sheng had given him the spirit vein for the Lusitai Incident. Luo Ge did not fully trust Fu's explanation.

He offered to take Liu Shao back to the Immortal Palace to cultivate and forget her past, but she vehemently refused, saying he could forget if he wished. He Na, however, disagreed, asserting that Liu Shao's passionate nature was her true self and should not be changed. Luo Ge decided to wait for Liu Shao to sober up so she could lead him to Lu Sheng for verification.

Later, Liu Shao discovered Luo Ge's memory lapse from drinking and asked about the scratches on his face. Luo Ge flippantly claimed a dog bit him. Amused, Liu Shao suggested he learn the human "Dog-Beating Stick" technique to protect his "fair face." Luo Ge playfully retorted, questioning if her "dog head" could withstand his own "Dog-Beating Stick."

Meanwhile, with their actions exposed, Fu provided Lu Sheng with a new magic weapon, instructing him to set up a formation on Luo Ge's inevitable path. His plan was to use the Brahma Lotus to temporarily strip Luo Ge and Liu Shao of their spiritual power, then seize the opportunity to kill Liu Shao. Fu intended to imprison Luo Ge, hoping to persuade him to split the Four Seasons Monument and revive the true God of the Moonlight.

Simultaneously, the Demon King in White, He Na, suspected his brother Fu's involvement in the Lusitai affair. He planned to send Fu beyond the wasteland to an elder of their race, intending to break Luo Ge's Protection Spell with the help of his clan. He Na confronted Fu, believing Fu had trapped him the previous night to take the blame for the spirit vein incident.

He Na stressed his responsibility as Demon King and older brother to protect Fu, even if it meant taking the fall. However, Fu had already betrayed He Na by slipping "Debilitating Powder," a common demon drug, into his tea, temporarily incapacitating He Na. Holding a Brahma Lotus, Fu made it clear that he did not seek He Na's position as Demon King.

Instead, he wanted to restore his brother to his former, free self, willing to do anything to achieve it, even if it meant being seen as ruthless. Lu Sheng, holding a green pear, reflected on his past. He recalled being a half-demon despised by both humans and demons, exiled to an extremely cold place where he contracted a lung disease.

He spoke of how the God of the Moonlight had adopted him, planted a pear tree, and taught him formations, assuring him he was not useless. Lu Sheng affirmed his unwavering obsession: to bring back the God of the Moonlight, even if it meant sacrificing Lu Li and bringing misery to the three realms. Luo Ge and Liu Shao soon arrived at Lu Sheng's location.

Liu Shao then accused Luo Ge of harming Lu Li, making him lose his mind, and now returning to harm him again, calling him Lu Li's "destined enemy." Lu Sheng then initiated the formation against Luo Ge and Liu Shao. However, he quickly realized Fu had tampered with it, transforming it from an Immortal Trapping Formation into a lethal Immortal Devouring Formation, designed to annihilate everyone caught within, regardless of their race.

As the formation targeted Luo Ge due to his powerful spiritual energy, Liu Shao instinctively activated her Sun Spirit to draw the formation's force, sacrificing herself. Witnessing this, Luo Ge felt a profound heartbreak and attempted to intervene with the Moon Sword, despite knowing it would consume his vitality. Lu Sheng, realizing the severity of the situation and unwilling to see Luo Ge's half-heart (which held the God of the Moonlight's power) destroyed, made a difficult choice.

In a final act of self-sacrifice, he protected Luo Ge and Liu Shao, dissipating into nothingness and leaving behind a single Tear of the Half-Demon. Before his demise, Lu Sheng expressed remorse for his obsession, which he believed had ruined Lu Li's life, and urged Luo Ge to be wary of Fu. Later, Luo Ge buried Lu Sheng and paid his respects.

In the demon palace, Fu reflected on his brother, He Na, remembering him as a proud and ambitious leader, the only Aquatic Demon capable of moving freely outside water. He recalled the humiliation they suffered at the hands of immortals, particularly Practitioner Xie, who mocked their inferior status and threatened to massacre their people, forcing He Na to kneel.

When He Na protected Fu by swallowing the Pearl of Fire, an act that caused him ten years of agony, Fu's hatred for the Immortal Palace solidified. He vowed to avenge his brother and liberate their cursed race. Fu revealed how he had secretly colluded with Lu Sheng to entrap Practitioner Xie.

He described how he gave Xie Lingqi demon energy and used the Water Hyacinth Spell to infuse his bones with demon aura, making the Immortal Palace believe Xie Lingqi was a demon spy. Consequently, Xie Lingqi was thrown into the Bone-melting Pool. Fu declared to He Na that his ruthless actions were for his brother's freedom, expressing his desire to overturn the Four Seasons Monument and the entire world, all to break the shackles on his people.

He Na suggested finding the immortal energy of Immortal Ze Shui as a less destructive alternative to save their people, but Fu vehemently dismissed it as useless. Suddenly, Mr. Tai reported that Immortal Luo Ge and Miss Liu had returned and wished to see He Na and General Fu. A surprised He Na realized Luo Ge was still alive.

He attempted to prevent Luo Ge from taking Fu, insisting there was no concrete evidence against him, and even questioning if someone within their own Aquatic Demon ranks had leaked their whereabouts. However, a subordinate, perhaps swayed by Luo Ge's authority or fearing further conflict, volunteered to go, acknowledging that not everyone in the Aquatic Demon clan always obeyed the Demon King's commands.
