Song of the Moon Episode 15 Recap
> Song of the Moon Recap
The moment Liu Shao's embrace of Lu Li shifted, his gaze became clear and his tone icy, revealing him as Luo Ge. He acknowledged that Lu Li was indeed his mortal incarnation, but asserted that all his experiences in the mortal realm, whether with people or events, were merely tribulations. Luo Ge declared he felt nothing for such ephemeral affections and advised Liu Shao to release her attachments and confront reality.
Bai Feng, instead of returning to the Mansion of Wu Yang Duke with the other disciples, remained in the Immortal Palace for several days. There, she befriended an immortal attendant and inquired about Luo Ge. When General Xie sarcastically remarked on Luo Ge's promotion to Immortal, noting his use of a mortal face, Bai Feng promptly defended him.
Her defiance angered General Xie, who threatened to expel her from the Immortal Palace, reminding her that as a mere mortal, she had no right to speak ill of an Immortal in such a place. However, Immortal Master Wanwu, impressed by Bai Feng's unwavering spirit, intervened and offered her a position as a court chore worker in his palace, which Bai Feng readily accepted. Luo Ge established a Five-Element Formation in Palace Chonghua to test Liu Shao.
He also discussed with Immortal Master Wanwu the process of creating blood amulets to repair the Four Seasons Monument, explaining that Liu Shao's blood would be the necessary catalyst. Liu Shao initially struggled with the formation. While attempting to bypass it, she unexpectedly encountered Wansui, an ancient master, and recounted her recent experiences. Wansui was deeply moved by Liu Shao and Lu Li's love story, encouraging her not to abandon hope, believing she might yet rekindle Luo Ge's feelings.
Liu Shao, taking Wansui’s words to heart, confidently deciphered the formation, relying on her understanding of Lu Li's formation skills. With newfound determination, Liu Shao successfully navigated the formation and finally entered Palace Chonghua. Inside, she discovered a peculiar, inverted tree. Curious, she attempted to water it at Wansui's encouragement, as he assured her it would not displease Luo Ge. As she did, Luo Ge materialized, prompting Wansui to respectfully depart.
Luo Ge, without reprimanding Liu Shao for her actions, explained that the tree was Xuan Ling Wood, sustained by immortal energy, not mortal water. He then addressed the matter of the blood amulets, explaining that her blood, imbued with Sun Spirit power, could repair the Four Seasons Monument. He planned to plant blood amulets within her, allowing her own essence to forge "talisman pearls."
While taking one or two would be harmless, four or five would cause severe weakness, and seven, though guaranteeing the monument's full restoration, would result in her soul's dissipation. When Liu Shao asked if he would truly take all seven, Luo Ge stated that she had the option to refuse, but if the monument was ever truly imperiled, she would be sacrificed regardless, with no hope of survival.
He clarified that his actions, though seemingly harsh, were out of compassion for all beings, of which she was but one. He also mentioned that if she were lucky, she might one day retrieve the talisman pearls and recover fully. Despite the inherent danger, Liu Shao agreed to his request, but only on the condition that she be granted unrestricted entry and exit to Palace Chonghua.
Luo Ge conceded, but laid down three strict rules: she must not touch the Xuan Ling Wood, nor the books within Palace Chonghua, and most importantly, she must not touch him, not even his shadow or a piece of his clothing. Liu Shao agreed to these terms, but also requested that Luo Ge not blame Luo Ning for trapping her in a dream, attributing it to her own obsession and Luo Ning's simple desire to help.
Luo Ge accepted this condition. Subsequently, Luo Ge provided Liu Shao with numerous scriptures, instructing her to deliver them to Luo Ning for copying. Luo Ning attempted to use magic to complete the task, but Luo Ge had anticipated this, having placed powerful enchantments on the books. Liu Shao soon realized that the characters on the pages would only vanish once the text was genuinely committed to memory.
Luo Ning, frustrated, eventually sought Liu Shao's help, offering her the precious dew of the ten-thousand-year Emperor Grass if she would assist. Liu Shao agreed, and together, they spent a significant portion of the day memorizing the scriptures, eventually completing the task. On their way to the Immortal's canonization ceremony, Liu Shao and Luo Ning encountered Shang Yurong, the charismatic Master of the Palace of Abyssal Mirrors, who was attempting to direct Liu Shao on how to sail a boat.
Luo Ning, however, found him flamboyant and criticized his irresponsible nature, noting how his antics constantly brought trouble upon his senior sister, Zhuo Qiuxian, the Master of Palace Wuxie, particularly mentioning his failure to master the Eastern Fire of Burning Seas for over five hundred years. As the canonization ceremony was about to begin, Shang Yurong's absence caused a stir among the assembled immortals.
General Xie openly questioned Shang Yurong's leadership, suggesting that with Luo Ge's ascension, the position of the head of the three palaces should be re-evaluated. Upon hearing General Xie's taunts aimed at Zhuo Qiuxian, Shang Yurong, who had just arrived, theatrically asserted his presence. He had Zhuo Qiuxian present a gift box and then instructed General Xie to read the congratulatory scroll, which, to General Xie's public humiliation, announced Shang Yurong's grand arrival.
After the brief commotion subsided, Shang Yurong formally led the assembled immortals in welcoming Luo Ge. As Luo Ge descended from the heavens, Liu Shao was struck by a powerful sense of déjà vu, recalling the time Lu Li had disguised himself as Luo Ge in the Pearl Pavilion, her heart heavy with the weight of how much had changed.
Luo Ge was then officially canonized as an Immortal, pledging to benefit the Three Realms, guide all living beings, and sacrifice everything to bring clarity and purity to the world. Despite Liu Shao's mortal status, Shang Yurong insisted she sit beside him at the banquet, openly challenging the other immortals by asking who among them would be willing to undergo the dangerous ritual of blood amulet creation for the Four Seasons Monument.
When met with silence, Luo Ge stood and announced that the following day, he would establish a magic circle at Lusitai to forge the blood amulets using Liu Shao's body. He further declared that no disciple from the Three Palaces was permitted to approach Lusitai for three days. All the immortals present acknowledged his decree.
However, Wansui, deeply concerned, confronted Luo Ge, highlighting the extreme peril to Liu Shao, explaining that seven amulets would result in her death, even with her Sun Spirit power. Liu Shao, caught in this impossible situation, could only hope that Luo Ge still retained some of Lu Li's compassion, believing that Lu Li would never knowingly put her in such mortal danger.
