Song of the Moon Episode 14 Recap
> Song of the Moon Recap
As the emergence of the Demon King loomed, causing widespread panic, Luo Ge made a timely appearance. He wielded the Moon Bell, suppressing the dark energy and restoring the Four Seasons Monument to peace. Witnessing this, the Immortals rejoiced at Luo Ge's promotion, celebrating the first Immortal to reside in the Immortal Palace in a thousand years, a blessing for the Three Realms.
Luo Ge, however, immediately questioned the origin of the day's calamity, giving orders to repair the barrier, strengthen the formation, assess casualties, and investigate the background of Liu Shao. With the Four Seasons Monument incident seemingly concluded, the Aquatic Demons observed the Glazed Fruit, noting its deepening color, which signified a gradual loosening of the Immortal Palace's restrictions on them.
This outcome, however, came at the cost of Lu Li's sacrifice, a human boy who bravely fought Ao Hen with the Moon Sword but couldn't save his own life. The Demon King in White, sorrowful, played the Melody Flute in tribute to Lu Li, acknowledging the profound significance of their encounter.
Having experienced a tribulation in the mortal world ten thousand years prior, a journey that involved Luo Ge sealing himself and sending half of his heart into the mortal realm, he was now back. Yet, despite his return as an Immortal, he found himself still burdened by lingering distractions, remnants of his time as Lu Li. As he underwent a heart-purification ritual in the spirit pool, Luo Ning, his sister, rushed to him upon waking, concerned by his distracted state.
Shortly after, an Immortal attendant arrived to report that the disciples of Marquis Wuyang's Mansion were gathered at the Litian Temple, awaiting judgment. Xie Lingqi, an Immortal, observing the situation, suggested that the incident must be related to Marquis Wuyang's Mansion. He found that the Bone-Corroding Harp, played by a disciple named Liu Shao, had strings made from a high-level demon's spirit vein—a painful extraction implying ulterior motives.
Xie Lingqi then proposed publicly denouncing Marquis Wuyang's Mansion throughout the Three Realms, forbidding any mourning or worship for them to assert Immortal authority. Despite Liu Shao's assertion that she and Lu Li had merely recovered and repaired the harp, others dismissed her as incoherent. Liu Shao, however, fiercely condemned the Immortal Palace, accusing them of being unjust and making decisions based solely on self-interest rather than right or wrong, deeming them unworthy leaders of the Three Realms.
She vehemently defended her fellow disciples, stating that their lifelong training was to protect all living beings, and that the Immortal Palace's unfounded suspicions should not ruin their lives. Enraged by Liu Shao's audacity, Xie Lingqi moved to attack her, but Luo Ge swiftly intervened with the Moon Sword. Liu Shao was stunned to see the Moon Sword, which had previously recognized Lu Li as its master, now in Luo Ge's hand.
Luo Ge, asserting that "good swords choose their owners," then offered Liu Shao a chance to prove her innocence. He ordered her confinement to the Bone Melting Pool, a dangerous place where only those with truly pure hearts could survive the ten-thousand-year-old thorns and countless evil auras. Without hesitation, Liu Shao accepted the perilous trial to protect her fellow disciples from further harm. Inside the Bone Melting Pool, Luo Ge observed Liu Shao through a mystic mirror.
He noticed her Lake Bracelet seemed to be aiding her, prompting him to magically remove it, observing it with a sense of déjà vu. Liu Shao, enduring agonizing pain from the thorns, cried out, pleading for the return of the bracelet, which Lu Li had given her. A flashback of Lu Li promising to protect her and always be with her, even selling himself for a single coin, intensified her resolve.
Against all odds, Liu Shao not only emerged from the Bone Melting Pool but also navigated the Life Gate, appearing directly before Luo Ge and reclaiming her precious bracelet. As Liu Shao's blood dripped onto the Three Realms Monument, a miraculous sight unfolded: its cracks began to spontaneously heal. Luo Ge, in a sudden move, seized Liu Shao, causing the Lake Bracelet to fly off and strike his mask, shattering it to reveal a face identical to Lu Li's.
Stunned onlookers questioned his identity. Luo Ge, asserting his dual nature as "having an appearance or not, I am still me," then froze Liu Shao with a spell. Observing a distinctive seal on her brow, he confirmed her as the true inheritor of the Sun Supreme God, explaining her unique ability to stabilize the Four Seasons Monument.
Liu Shao, still clinging to the belief that he was Lu Li, desperately questioned him, but Luo Ge firmly declared himself Luo Ge, the Immortal of Xiyin Mountain, while acknowledging the "sin" of mortal love. To uncover the true connection between Luo Ge and Lu Li, Liu Shao made the difficult decision to remain in the Immortal Palace, bidding an emotional farewell to Wang Jian and her companions, who had urged her to return to the mortal world.
They expressed skepticism that the cold Luo Ge could be related to Lu Li, especially after her ordeal in the Bone Melting Pool, but Liu Shao pointed to the Moon Sword’s immediate acceptance of Luo Ge as its master. She felt compelled to investigate further, clinging to the hope that Lu Li might still be alive and that "what I see may not be true."
Luo Ge, acknowledging Liu Shao's pure heart and the Sun Spirit within her—qualities proven by her successful escape from the Bone Melting Pool—allowed her to stay in Xiyin Mountain. He reassured the Immortal Master that, despite Lu Li's deep emotional ties affecting his current appearance, as an Immortal, all mortal affairs were ultimately insignificant. Palace Master Zhuo Qiuxian arranged accommodations for Liu Shao in the Immortal Palace, noting that Luo Ning's residence was uniquely situated by the water.
Luo Ning, Luo Ge's sister, sought out Liu Shao, eager to hear her play the Brahma song again. Despite the absence of the Bone-Corroding Harp, Liu Shao skillfully played the melody using wind chimes. She explained that she had not formally learned the tune but had instinctively known how to play it after observing an old tree blooming, feeling a strong sense of familiarity with the music.
Impressed by Liu Shao's beauty, spiritual insight, and talent, Luo Ning quickly formed a bond with her, offering healing dew for her injuries and promising to show her around the Immortal Palace, cementing their new friendship. Meanwhile, Lu Sheng expressed sorrow over his disciple's death. Fu, however, mocked Lu Sheng's sentimentality and urged him to have Bai Feng swiftly eliminate Liu Shao to prevent any future complications. They discussed Luo Ge's ongoing investigation into the spy at Lusitai.
Fu questioned Liu Shao's inconsistent actions with the Bone-Corroding Harp, noting her initial role in repairing the Four Seasons Monument, yet it later produced a destructive melody, which Fu revealed to be a "Mystical Demon Song" he had played to cause havoc. He contrasted this with Lu Li's actions, stating that Luo Ge, in his past self as Lu Li, had used the Moon Sword to kill Ao Hen to save Liu Shao, not to destroy the monument.
Fu stated that Liu Shao's recent burst of divine power would have scattered Sun Spirit fragments, which Luo Ge could trace to uncover the mastermind. Lu Sheng worried about exposure, but Fu confidently revealed that he had an insider within the Immortal Palace who had already retrieved these fragments and sent them back to the Demon Palace, making him dismissive of Luo Ge's investigation and reiterating the absolute necessity of eliminating Liu Shao.
Luo Ning continued to show Liu Shao around the Immortal Palace, asking her to play the Bone-Corroding Harp again. As Liu Shao played, the Immortal Palace's flowers bloomed and showered down like a vivid dream. Liu Shao, without consciously knowing the score, transitioned into another, melancholic melody. Luo Ning was deeply moved to tears by the tune, which Liu Shao played purely from memory, feeling a profound and unsettling familiarity.
Later, Luo Ning approached Luo Ge, probing his memories of his mortal tribulation. Luo Ge initially dismissed his mortal past as "floating clouds," irrelevant to an Immortal. However, Luo Ning then revealed she had used a newly developed fragrance to allow Liu Shao to reunite with Lu Li in a dream, hoping this would keep her content and prevent her from bothering Luo Ge.
Intrigued by the mention of the "half of my heart that bothers me," Luo Ge went to observe. In the dream, Liu Shao and Lu Li shared idyllic moments, including playful chases, but as their separation neared, Liu Shao tearfully embraced Lu Li, only to find Luo Ge mysteriously present nearby, observing them.
Lu Li in the dream then revealed the truth to Liu Shao, explaining that both he and Luo Ge were one and the same, and that he would always be with her wherever she was.
