> Oh My General Recap

Zhao Yujin questions Hu Qing about Ye Zhao's true gender. Hu Qing recalls a past incident where he discovered Ye Zhao was female while treating her injuries after a fierce battle against assassins. This secret, however, remains unspoken to Zhao Yujin. Meanwhile, upon learning Ye Zhao is approaching, Zhao Yujin frantically attempts to escape by jumping over a wall and later riding Ye Zhao's horse, Taxue.

Ye Zhao, however, relentlessly pursues him using her martial arts skills and manages to catch him, bringing him back to his mansion. Back at the residence, Ye Zhao, using a show of force (punching a pillar), compels Zhao Yujin to accompany her to her family's home, the Zhenguo Gong Fu. The next day, at the Zhenguo Gong Fu, Zhao Yujin endures the eccentric Zhenguo Gong, who repeatedly mistakes him for his "granddaughter-in-law," much to Zhao Yujin's chagrin.

During discussions about finding a tutor for Ye Zhao's young nephews, Zhao Yujin suggests Hu Qing, a choice both Ye Zhao and her sister-in-law approve of. Before leaving, the Zhenguo Gong further embarrasses Zhao Yujin by patting his stomach and urging him to "work harder." On their return journey, Zhao Yujin extracts a promise from Ye Zhao: she must perform daily morning and evening greetings to the Grand Imperial Concubine (Taifei) and engage her in conversation.

Initially, Ye Zhao struggles with this task, making awkward small talk. The Taifei, already irritated by Ye Zhao's unconventional behavior and determined to teach her a lesson, begins rising earlier to inconvenience her. The Taifei also attempts to provoke Ye Zhao by suggesting Zhao Yujin take concubines. To her surprise, Ye Zhao not only agrees but enthusiastically offers to find beautiful, gentle women from Yangzhou. The situation escalates further when Ye Zhao, attempting to swat a mosquito near the sleeping Taifei, accidentally startles her, causing the Taifei to fall and injure her forehead.
