Mr. Ou questioned Dakun about why his man, Xiaofoye, had hired Laoba the Butcher to kill Mu Qing. Dakun insisted that while Xiaofoye was his subordinate, he lacked the courage to hire assassins to kill one of their own. Mr. Ou then pointed out that Laoba the Butcher had caused trouble in his daughter’s store and attempted to kill her bodyguard, suggesting the attack was also aimed at him.

Mu Qing stepped in, expressing his belief that Dakun would not deliberately order the assassination of an associate. He suggested that Laoba the Butcher was intentionally trying to frame Dakun. Mu Qing further advised Mr. Ou that Laoba the Butcher might be just the beginning, a lead to unravel a larger scheme and clear Dakun's name. Mr. Ou agreed, saying he wanted to see who in Yungang dared to defy him.

He entrusted Mr. Glasses with the investigation, asking for a definitive answer. Dakun gave Mu Qing a hostile glance as they dispersed. After the meeting, Mu Qing spoke with Li Ruosheng, observing that Mr. Ou already had an answer in his heart and merely assigned Mr. Glasses to the task to downplay the severity of the situation. Mu Qing then instructed Li Ruosheng to keep an eye on Laoba the Butcher's lair, while he would monitor Mr. Glasses's investigation.

Meanwhile, Dakun was confronting Xiaofoye, chastising him for causing trouble. Xiaofoye claimed he would bear the responsibility alone, but Dakun angrily reminded him that the boss had already reprimanded him. Dakun ordered Xiaofoye to stay put and not leave the house without his permission. Shortly after, Dakun received a text from Mr. Glasses, inviting him to a meeting to discuss an urgent matter. Later, Mr. Glasses met Dakun in a secluded location.

Mr. Glasses explained that he had arranged things at the clinic and would speak to Mr. Ou on Dakun's behalf. He then revealed that he had brought Laoba the Butcher, who was in the trunk, to Dakun as a gesture of goodwill, emphasizing the importance of brotherhood over temporary business. Dakun, however, rejected the offer, stating he wouldn't be indebted. He believed Mr. Glasses's motive was to gain leverage. He then ordered his subordinate to kill Laoba the Butcher.

Mr. Glasses observed Dakun's decisive action, noting that Dakun preferred not to be controlled. From a distance, Mu Qing watched the entire exchange unfold. Mr. Glasses later instructed his own subordinate to dispose of Laoba the Butcher’s body. The following day, Mr. Glasses reported his findings to Mr. Ou and the others. He claimed to have raided Laoba the Butcher’s lair that morning, discovering two kilograms of methamphetamine and 150,000 in cash.

He stated that laboratory tests confirmed the drugs were mixed with counterfeits, identical to those previously sold by Scorpion. Mr. Glasses presented this as evidence that Laoba the Butcher, seeking revenge for Scorpion's death, had tried to frame Xiaofoye to incite internal conflict within Group K. Dakun insisted on seeing the evidence, and when Mu Qing then asked for Mr. Ou's opinion, Mr. Ou agreed to open the box.

Upon opening the box, Mr. Glasses found it filled with toys instead of drugs and cash. A flustered Mr. Glasses stammered, promising to re-investigate immediately. Mu Qing and Mr. Ou acted surprised by the unexpected discovery. It was then revealed that Mu Qing had anticipated Mr. Glasses's move and sent Li Ruosheng to swap the drugs for toys at Laoba the Butcher's lair. That evening, Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng celebrated their successful gambit at a bar.

Mu Qing reported to Director Liu, explaining his strategy to provoke both Dakun and Mr. Glasses. He believed that this pressure would soon lead Dakun to make a mistake. Director Liu cautioned that arresting Dakun required careful planning, stressing the immediate priority was to capture Xiaofoye, Dakun's key dealer, to gather comprehensive evidence of Dakun's drug trafficking. Later, Mu Qing visited Ou Kexin to inquire about Dakun's businesses in Yungang.

Ou Kexin offered to help, hinting that her assistance wouldn’t be free. When she playfully touched his face, Mu Qing became shy and quickly excused himself. Concurrently, Mr. Glasses suggested to Dakun that it might be prudent to sacrifice Xiaofoye to protect himself, a proposition Dakun seemed to contemplate. Ou Kexin decided to help Mu Qing by visiting Dakun.

She feigned interest in renting a large factory for her clothing business, prompting Dakun to personally tour his various properties with her. After visiting a few locations, Dakun, visibly fatigued, made an excuse to leave. He instructed his subordinate, Xiaoli, to accompany Ou Kexin and fulfill all her requests. Ou Kexin then cleverly tricked Xiaoli into unconsciousness. She used his phone to retrieve information about Dakun's frequently visited locations in the city and promptly forwarded it to Mu Qing.

Mu Qing, in turn, passed the information to Director Liu, who immediately dispatched plainclothes officers over the phone to stake out the identified spots. In a dimly lit room, Xiaofoye, unable to control his intensifying drug addiction, ventured out to find drugs. On his way back, he was spotted by plainclothes police officers. As the police initiated their pursuit, Zhao Ran used a drone to identify Xiaofoye's lair in a Tongzi Building located in Yuhua Lane, Hengshun Street. Captain Rong then began to deploy his team, instructing Bao Yunhai to neutralize the various sentries positioned around Xiaofoye's hideout before signaling other units to prepare for the raid.
