Rong Yu shared that during the two years she lived as Ou Kexin, it was incredibly challenging to suppress her true identity and the overwhelming urge to reunite with Liu Yuanwen. She explained that her first mission in the Skylark Project, initiated by Director Wang, was to return to Yungang and orchestrate an "accidental" encounter with him, allowing him to use her Ou Kexin persona to infiltrate the core of Group K.

She recalled the immense effort it took to maintain her composure and not betray any hint of her true self, acknowledging the pain Liu Yuanwen must have felt during their interactions. When she realized the depth of his feelings for her, she felt a mixture of happiness and guilt, often wishing she could tell him that she was Rong Yu and that she was alive.

However, for the sake of their mission, she couldn't, and instead, found solace in being by his side in a different capacity. Rong Yu apologized for the years of deception. Liu Yuanwen, however, didn't blame her, but rather expressed sympathy for her hardships, stating that he suffered the most, and that any suffering endured for her was worth it. They promised that after apprehending Spectre and completing their mission, they would live a happy life together.

Meanwhile, Li Ruosheng oversaw his subordinates, instructing them to produce a large quantity of explosives and increase their potency. He reflected on past conversations with Liu Yuanwen, particularly his wish for a warm, stable home, and felt a deep sense of betrayal and sadness now that he was aware of Liu Yuanwen's true identity. Later, he initiated a phone call with Liu Yuanwen, pretending to inquire about Mr. Ou and Kexin's whereabouts.

Liu Yuanwen, playing along, informed Li Ruosheng that Ou Kexin had been found and was safe with him after escaping a police ambush, but admitted he had no news of Mr. Ou. During the call, Rong Yao's team, including Zheng Ke and Li Yimeng, attempted to trace Li Ruosheng's location, but the call's brevity and Li Ruosheng's use of a virtual phone system made it impossible.

Li Ruosheng then proposed a meeting at Chengbei Street 36 the following afternoon at 5 PM, stating that Spectre was indeed in Yungang and a meeting had been arranged. Rong Yu expressed concern to Liu Yuanwen about his upcoming meeting with Li Ruosheng, specifically wondering if he could bring himself to act against a man he once considered a brother, recalling her own hesitation when apprehending Ou Zhenhai. Liu Yuanwen responded that making a wrong choice inevitably leads to consequences.

He then knelt and, presenting a ring he had prepared, proposed to Rong Yu again, reaffirming his commitment to always be by her side and to love her, promising that past failures to protect her would not recur. Deeply moved, Rong Yu tearfully accepted his proposal. The police meticulously set up an ambush at the restaurant on Chengbei Street, as designated by Li Ruosheng. Liu Yuanwen arrived and proceeded to the second floor.

A staged fight involving a group of drunk individuals broke out in the restaurant, causing a distraction for the undercover officers. Taking advantage of the chaos, Li Ruosheng sent Liu Yuanwen a text message, instructing him to meet in a back alley where a car with its double signals on would take him to a new location. The message warned that anyone who followed would not leave alive.

Liu Yuanwen, seeing the message, left his phone on the table, displaying the message "I can go alone, don't follow," indicating his solo departure. Li Yimeng's team discovered the message and realized the restaurant meeting was a diversion, part of a trap orchestrated by Li Ruosheng. A subordinate later confirmed to Li Ruosheng that Liu Yuanwen had been picked up without any police tailing the vehicle.

Back at the police station, Rong Yu anxiously called Rong Yao, who informed her that Li Ruosheng had not been apprehended and Liu Yuanwen was missing. Rong Yu immediately rushed to join the team. Zheng Ke, through the Sky Eye system, discovered Li Ruosheng had been frequently visiting a particular clubhouse. Reviewing the footage, Rong Yao realized that Li Ruosheng had somehow learned Liu Yuanwen's true identity as an undercover agent.

He immediately dispatched all units to raid the clubhouse to arrest Li Ruosheng and rescue Liu Yuanwen. However, by the time the police arrived, Li Ruosheng's subordinates had already escaped with Spectre. Meanwhile, Liu Yuanwen had been taken to an unfinished building where Li Ruosheng had set up a hotpot meal.

They shared a meal, and Li Ruosheng reminisced about their past, recalling the three rules Liu Yuanwen had set when they first met and expressing gratitude for Liu Yuanwen's influence on his life. However, Li Ruosheng's tone soon shifted as he produced a document from Mr. Ou with a chilling directive: "Kill Mu Qing." Li Ruosheng then received a report that the clubhouse had been raided and instructed his subordinates to bring Spectre to his location, leading the police there.

He then pulled out a gun and demanded that Liu Yuanwen admit to being an undercover agent. When Liu Yuanwen remained silent, Li Ruosheng, enraged, screamed at him and shot him in the arm. He expressed his bitter resentment at being deceived for three years, feeling that Liu Yuanwen had used him as a stepping stone to destroy Group K.

Liu Yuanwen tried to reason with him, explaining that his actions were for Li Ruosheng's own good and urging him to turn back, reminding him of the devastation caused by drug dealing. Li Ruosheng, however, felt there was no turning back, pointing out that ever since Liu Yuanwen became his strategist and especially since Mr. Ou's disappearance, his path was sealed. Spectre was then brought to the scene by Li Ruosheng's subordinates.

Li Ruosheng accused Liu Yuanwen of setting a trap three years ago when he saved him on the rooftop, and revealed that he had planted bombs. With the police closing in, Li Ruosheng, holding a bomb detonator, declared his intention to turn them all to ashes. Liu Yuanwen then seized the opportunity to fight for the remote control, during which Li Ruosheng blurted out, "I'm returning you my life."

Amidst a fierce shootout between Li Ruosheng's men and the police, Rong Yao's team, including Rong Yu, arrived at the factory. Rong Yu, seeing the danger, desperately tried to get to Liu Yuanwen, but was held back due to the bombs. Li Ruosheng managed to detonate the bombs, causing the entire factory to be engulfed in a massive explosion. Rong Yu watched in horror and collapsed in anguish.

At an anti-drug summary conference, Director Liu announced the successful apprehension of Lin Youyou, code name Spectre, and the complete dismantling of Group K, an organization that had plagued Yungang City for years, with Ou Zhenhai's arrest. He also noted the eradication of Spectre's drug cartel through collaborative international efforts between ASEAN and China.

Director Liu emphasized that this was merely a phase in their ongoing fight against drugs, vowing to continue the mission until the very end and to never forget the heroic police officers, especially the undercover agents who risked everything by living double lives in the shadows. Later, Rong Yao prepared to report to the Provincial Public Security Bureau, expressing his concern for Rong Yu and hoping she could overcome the trauma of recent events.

Rong Yu reassured him, stating that Liu Yuanwen had taught her that her inner self remained unchanged, and that as long as she remained a police officer, her duty would continue, and their mission would not end as long as drug dealers existed in the world. She then received a text message from Liu Yuanwen, indicating they would "meet in ten days." The scene then shifted to the Yunnan border, where Liu Yuanwen, operating under the alias "Mic King," was seen making contact with new drug dealers, resuming his undercover work.
