Chen Cu had to withdraw from a medical knowledge competition due to a family emergency. Wen Shaoqing couldn’t reschedule, and Zhong Zhen, who had been diligently preparing, didn’t want to miss the contest. Wen Shaoqing suggested Cong Rong take Chen Cu’s place. Director Yan agreed and told Cong Rong to cram with Wen Shaoqing for one night—no need to win, just keep the score stable. Zhong Zhen suggested cramming at Zhou Chengcheng’s barbecue shop, where they could study while eating.
Cong Rong found the medical knowledge too complicated and didn’t understand many of the concepts. After Zhou Chengcheng finished work, she wanted to go next door to read at Wen Rang’s bookstore and asked Cong Rong to help close up. During their group discussion, Qin Chu noticed how considerate Wen Shaoqing was toward Cong Rong and felt a twinge of jealousy. At the competition, teams from different hospitals were fiercely competing.
Zhong Zhen was extremely nervous, and Cong Rong worried about messing up. Wen Shaoqing held her hand to calm her, promising to take her somewhere afterward. When the host announced the winning team—Yunji Medical—everyone took a group photo. However, the photographer asked Wen Shaoqing and Qin Chu to stand closer together. Seeing this, Cong Rong felt jealous and left before the others.
At the supermarket, Cong Rong was distracted, replaying the comments she’d overheard at the competition—people said Wen Shaoqing and Qin Chu looked like a perfect match and would surely have beautiful children. On the way home, Cong Rong spotted two dog traffickers and mistook the dog they had for Rang Yi Rang. She quickly took photos as evidence, leaving the men speechless. After bringing the dog home, she scolded Wen Shaoqing for being an irresponsible owner.
Wen Shaoqing, utterly confused, pointed out that Rang Yi Rang was right at home. Only then did Cong Rong realize she had brought back the wrong dog—just the same breed. Feeling embarrassed, she rushed back to her place. Wen Shaoqing later texted her saying the real dog's owner had been found and thanked “his girlfriend,” making Cong Rong secretly happy. But she also realized she shouldn’t continue being ambiguous with Wen Shaoqing. The next morning, Cong Rong left early.
When Wen Shaoqing came out, he saw her note and headed to the hospital alone. At the hospital, Qin Chu told him that, due to winning the competition, the hospital had issued a bonus and she wanted to discuss how to use it. Chen Cu overheard and wanted to join in the fun. Cong Rong saw the three walking together, and Zhong Zhen added fuel to the fire by commenting that the trio looked perfect together.
Chen Cu suggested camping, which Qin Chu agreed to, but Wen Shaoqing only cared about Cong Rong’s opinion. Wen Shaoqing pulled Cong Rong aside on the rooftop to ask why she had been ignoring him and refusing to eat the breakfast he made. Cong Rong suppressed her jealousy without saying anything, leaving Wen Shaoqing confused. Qin Chu saw them close together and became distracted in the break room, lamenting how passive she’d become.
Chen Cu noticed and said that Wen Shaoqing and Qin Chu had always been a perfect pair, respectful and well-matched, and urged her to seize the chance. Zhou Chengcheng's barbecue shop had its grand opening, but there was barely any business despite her handing out flyers. She turned to Wen Rang next door for help. She brought him a heap of barbecue to taste and asked for feedback. After eating, Wen Rang jokingly charged her thirty yuan for “consulting.”
He teased her for being too practical and advised her to think more like a marketer—then slyly sold her several books. Zhou Chengcheng realized too late that she’d been brainwashed and fumed. Wen Shaoqing visited the barbecue shop and asked Zhou Chengcheng to help bring Cong Rong on the camping trip. In return, he promised her a big order for catering the trip.
Zhou Chengcheng immediately signed the contract, which had an extra clause stating that Cong Rong must attend. Cong Rong had no choice but to agree. Zhou Chengcheng also got insider info from Wen Shaoqing and used it to blackmail Wen Rang into cooperating. At the campsite, Wen Shaoqing suggested pitching the tents first, then enjoying the beach. San Bao talked about college memories in front of Cong Rong, making her jealous.
She teamed up with Zhou Chengcheng and pretended she was going on a blind date. Wen Shaoqing looked visibly nervous. San Bao noticed Wen Shaoqing liked Cong Rong and sided with them, though Chen Cu didn’t believe it. Zhong Zhen and Cong Rong teamed up to fly kites, but after seeing Wen Shaoqing and Qin Chu behind them, Zhong Zhen gave up and went back to nap, leaving Cong Rong alone.
Wen Shaoqing came over to ask if she was really going on a blind date. Cong Rong told him not to meddle and said her ideal guy must have fewer admirers. Wen Shaoqing then realized she was jealous and taught her to fly a kite, hand over hand.
