He rushed home and told Cong Rong not to trouble her superior to drive her in the future. Cong Rong was feeling down, thinking she wasn't familiar enough with the work and was causing trouble for her colleagues. Wen Shaoqing took her for a walk by the river to cheer her up.
He comforted her emotionally and even teased her with "mouth-to-mouth resuscitation," then forcefully kissed her by the river. After returning home, Cong Rong reorganized the case evidence based on Shangguan Yi’s instructions. Shangguan, lying on his bed, recalled working with Cong Rong earlier that evening. However, Wen Rang remained cold and told her he no longer wanted to fall in love or consider any future relationships, and kicked her out of the bookstore.
Zhou Chengcheng was heartbroken. Cong Rong's foot was hurting, and Wen Shaoqing directly lifted her in a princess carry, making her feel incredibly happy. As they walked sweetly together, they spotted Zhou Chengcheng sitting downstairs with red, swollen eyes. Zhou Chengcheng said she had just experienced heartbreak and couldn’t even control her eating.
