Director Pan began by analyzing the results of the recent five-schools joint examination for seniors, noting the intense competition between Zhen Hua High School and the High School Affiliated to the Normal University in terms of top-scoring students. Given this fierce rivalry, Director Pan subtly suggested the idea of canceling the upcoming basketball game.
The other teachers felt this was inappropriate, as students were already under immense academic pressure, and removing their rare recreational time might provoke a negative reaction. Rather than overtly opposing, Wu Wenlu cleverly exploited a loophole in Director Pan's words, using "this is an exception and won't happen again" as a pretext to secure the basketball game for the students. Anticipation for the annual basketball game was high among the students.

The next day, Yu Zhouzhou went to school hoping to talk to Lin Yang but found his seat empty. Anxiously, she sought out Jiang Chuan, who informed her that Lin Yang was just visiting the High School Affiliated to the Normal University to get familiar with the environment and would formally transfer next week. That night, Lin Yang was waiting downstairs for Yu Zhouzhou. He intended to tell her about his transfer, unaware she already knew.
Yu Zhouzhou, having suppressed her emotions all day, couldn't bear to listen to Lin Yang. She expressed her dislike for his constant apologies, assuring him she no longer blamed him. His repeated apologies, however, only served as painful reminders of the past, making her feel incredibly suffocated. When Lin Yang apologized again for his words, she walked away. Lin Yang felt that with his departure, his relationship with Yu Zhouzhou was truly over. The highly anticipated basketball game finally began. Mi Qiao eagerly went to watch, as did Ling Xiangqian, drawn by Chu Tiankuo's presence. Yu Zhouzhou, however, was in no mood to attend. An argument quickly escalated into a fight between Jiang Chuan's team and Chu Tiankuo's team, throwing the game into chaos. Hearing about the brawl, Yu Zhouzhou rushed to the stadium, worried about Lin Yang. Upon seeing Yu Zhouzhou approaching, Lin Yang, who had been on the sidelines preparing to break up the fight, instantly felt his spirits lift. Similarly, Yu Zhouzhou, relieved to see Lin Yang unharmed, felt her anxieties dissipate.
They exchanged a knowing glance, and the pent-up tension between them vanished. Meanwhile, Benben, hearing a distorted rumor that Class 3 girls were involved in the fight, quickly borrowed a Zhen Hua school uniform and infiltrated the venue. He arrived just in time to see Yu Zhouzhou and Lin Yang smiling at each other, a look of profound understanding on their faces. The fight drew the attention of Director Pan, whose arrival caused everyone to disperse.
Lin Yang seized the opportunity to pull Yu Zhouzhou away to the rooftop. On the spacious rooftop, with a gentle breeze, the air felt fresh. Yu Zhouzhou apologized for her harsh words the previous day, reaffirming that she no longer blamed him and that she was doing well, which was enough. Lin Yang, finally receiving Yu Zhouzhou's forgiveness after so much effort, smiled happily and declared he would not transfer schools, vowing to stay with her forever.
He playfully called Yu Zhouzhou a liar, recalling how she had promised to attend the High School Affiliated to the Normal University after elementary school, filling his summer with joy and inspiring him to buy her gifts while traveling in Europe. Yet, when school started, she never showed up. Yu Zhouzhou laughed sheepishly, admitting she had only said it to make him happy.
Lin Yang reiterated that he did not believe her forgiveness was real, and if fate had cursed him to bring her misfortune, then he would stay by her side to restore all the happiness fate had taken from her. Though Lin Yang had Yu Zhouzhou's forgiveness, he still needed Benben's approval. Benben intercepted Lin Yang outside the school, warning him that if he ever made Yu Zhouzhou sad, he would face severe consequences.
Both genuinely cared for Yu Zhouzhou's well-being, leading them to an agreement: Lin Yang would look out for Yu Zhouzhou within Zhen Hua High School, while Benben would be responsible for her outside of school boundaries. They shook hands, establishing their shared "territory" and responsibility, with Benben reminding Lin Yang that "every word carries weight."
