Tian Jingzhi began her new work as a live streamer from home. Meanwhile, Yun Zhen felt suffocated by his ex-girlfriend, Ye Meixiao, who was constantly having him monitored. He was then drawn in by a photo sent by a beautiful "neighbor sister" and arranged to meet her in the backyard. Upon his arrival, the "neighbor sister" instructed him to close his eyes.

He interrogated her about Hong Shiguang’s current whereabouts, but Fang Xiao claimed ignorance, stating Hong Shiguang had disappeared months ago. She explained that she found an identity card for a safety deposit box among Hong Shiguang's left-behind documents. Tian Jingzhi remained resolute in her decision to carry the baby to term. However, the thought of his ex-girlfriend, Ye Meixiao, still gave him a headache, making Tian Jingzhi question if Ye Meixiao would ever leave him alone. Yun Zhen later secretly entered Xue Lingqiao’s room and noticed the blackmail letter. Having deduced Dr. Jiang's dual identity, Xue Lingqiao then secretly followed him by car to a secret base. Inside, Xue Lingqiao saw numerous young women lying motionless on beds. Dr. Jiang put on a protective suit, and Xue Lingqiao recognized one of the women as a missing person whom Xiao Yan had been searching for.
Dr. Jiang sealed the woman's mouth to prevent her from calling out, then prepared a syringe to draw blood. Just as Xue Lingqiao was about to intervene, the lights suddenly went out, and a mysterious figure attacked him. The ensuing fight attracted security, forcing both Xue Lingqiao and his assailant to hide. Yun Zhen had hoped to meet "Bat" herself.
Xue Lingqiao reflected on Tian Jingzhi's stubborn personality, which he believed made it difficult to discuss his true reasons for returning – his concern for the child's parasitic nature in her body. Back home, Xue Lingqiao recounted his recent experiences to Yun Zhen. He was puzzled by Dr. Jiang's ability to survive in a minus 36-degree Celsius environment, a temperature that would incapacitate both Xue Lingqiao and Yun Zhen, noting that this was a shared weakness among superhumans. He recognized this as valuable information. Tian Jingzhi arrived at Sheng Tian Entertainment to sign a contract, only to discover that the company's CEO was her uncle.
An assistant confirmed that Zhang Xuanxuan was also slated to sign with Sheng Tian Entertainment. Tian Jingzhi informed her assistant that she would tell the company she planned to "study abroad" to account for her impending pregnancy.
