Tian Jingzhi eagerly pressed Xue Lingqiao for the wedding invitations. Xue Lingqiao, finding her newfound enthusiasm suspicious, questioned if she intended to burn them and wondered if she was thinking clearly. Tian Jingzhi explained she needed them for her friends and company employees, adding that as the CEO, she would grant the whole company a holiday for the wedding. She briefly considered three days but settled on one to prevent employees from taking too many consecutive days off.
She explained her change of heart, saying she had "sorted a few things out" and was "afraid," which is why she agreed to the wedding proceeding as planned. She then inquired why Xue Lingqiao chose the 28th of next month for their wedding. He explained it was the day they first met, his lucky day, and he found it romantic. Tian Jingzhi, however, found other dates like the founding of the Communist Party, Army Day, and National Day romantic.
She reminded him that it was also the day she was rejected for marriage in front of relatives and friends, and her car accident anniversary. She humorously suggested that since the 28th was his "resurrection day," it suited him. She then brought up the Tomb-Sweeping Festival, citing a character named Bai Qingming from her favorite novel series, "Snowy Nights of Nine Countries," whose name sounded like the festival.
Xue Lingqiao, feeling a generation gap, admitted he didn't understand her "imaginary world" or "anime/manga world." Tian Jingzhi dismissed his concern, stating that different views on romance were fine and urged him not to be discouraged by the generation gap, saying they should just "make do." Xue Lingqiao wondered if she was implying he was old. At the kindergarten, a little girl invited Xue Changan to play on the seesaw, but he preferred to read comic books.

Meanwhile, while with Bai Lu and Qiu Yuebai, Xue Changan was enjoying ice cream.
Bai Lu commented on Xue Changan calling Tian Jingzhi "Auntie Neighbor," to which he explained his father's rule that women were "Auntie Neighbors" before marriage.
Xue Changan showed Bai Lu photos of his family and close superhuman friends, explaining that Tian Jingzhi had taught him to run if he saw his uncle Qiu Yuebai alone but to feel safe if Bai Lu was with his uncle Qiu Yuebai, as "Little Mom" (Bai Lu), whom he believed had given birth to him, would protect him. Bai Lu, concerned, tried to call Tian Jingzhi and Xue Lingqiao, but Xue Changan stopped her.
He wanted them to worry, explaining that his parents lived "too comfortably" and had too much time to argue about their wedding at home. He even asked Bai Lu when she and Qiu Yuebai would marry. Bai Lu gently told him they wouldn't, as they weren't in love, while Xue Changan insisted that Tian Jingzhi had told him Qiu Yuebai loved Bai Lu. Bai Lu explained that "love needs timing," like catching a bus.
Xue Changan, however, claimed he could always run fast enough to catch his bus even if he missed it. Bai Lu promised to take him home after he finished his ice cream, saying they'd only "punish" Tian Jingzhi a little, as his mother was likely crying and ruining her makeup.
Back at the kindergarten after Xue Changan's safe return, Tian Jingzhi and Xue Lingqiao invited the principal to their upcoming wedding on the 28th, mentioning that Zhang Xuanxuan would be a bridesmaid. The principal was thrilled at the prospect of seeing celebrities. On the wedding day, a melancholy Tian Jingzhi's father expressed his sadness about not being able to walk her down the aisle, as he had previously agreed to let her grandfather do so.
