My Amazing Boyfriend 2 Episode 32 Recap
> My Amazing Boyfriend 2 Recap
Jiang Yiheng revealed that he had successfully developed a new kind of stimulant by mixing Xue Lingqiao’s blood with Tian Jingzhi’s. He explained that Tian Jingzhi’s blood acted as a mediator, allowing him to create a substance that, when injected, could grant a portion of Xue Lingqiao’s strength, lasting up to ten hours, and it was stronger than his previous attempts. He asserted that only those with such powers truly deserved the title of superhuman.
Bai Lu observed that Jiang Yiheng seemed to have developed an addiction to obtaining power. Meanwhile, Yun Zhen expressed his joy that Xue Changan was safe, deeming it wonderful news worth celebrating. Xue Lingqiao agreed, relieved to know Xue Changan was alive, even though they hadn't brought him back. Tian Jingzhi, however, admitted to feeling greedy, stating that upon learning Xue Changan was alive, she desperately wanted to see him as soon as possible.
She also felt compelled to confront Bai Lu in person about her deception. Feng Dongdong wondered if Bai Lu had a hidden reason for her actions, but Xue Lingqiao believed Bai Lu simply adored Yuebai, leading her to blindly trust all his decisions and willingly participate in his plans. In a tense conversation with Bai Lu, Jiang Yiheng proclaimed that superhumans were superior to ordinary humans, likening the latter to lab mice.
He chillingly justified his past actions, explaining that he had observed Hong Shiguang’s survival for decades with Xue Lingqiao’s blood, seeing it as a unique case study. He admitted to having contacted Hong Shiguang previously. Jiang Yiheng confessed that when he learned Fang Xian had obtained sensitive information from Hong Shiguang, he feared exposure. He then used Xue Lingqiao’s name to lure Fang Xian out, and had already planned to kill her before their meeting.
He placed the blame on Fang Xian's own greed, claiming that if she hadn't blackmailed Tian Jingzhi, he would never have known of her existence. Bai Lu retorted that Jiang Yiheng was even more greedy, dismissing his attempts to justify his actions. He dismissed the idea of regret, even if a divine entity were to punish him.
Jiang Yiheng continued, expressing his surprise that the secluded cave had been discovered and lamented that Hong Shiguang’s death, which had been a perfect distraction for Li Yanzhi, happened too soon. He then revealed that his animosity towards Yun Zhen, stemming from an incident where Yun Zhen had called him “useless” for his unenhanced body, led him to plan to frame Yun Zhen as a scapegoat.
Jiang Yiheng further disclosed that his initial target was not Hu Li, but Ye Meixiao, but Tian Jingzhi's presence at Ye Meixiao’s home had saved her life. He decided he would inform Yuebai of all his plans the following day. After a sleepless night, Tian Jingzhi was roused by Xue Lingqiao for a morning run. Noticing her exhaustion, Xue Lingqiao carried her back home, comforting her with promises that he would definitely bring Xue Changan back safely.
Later, Jiang Yiheng called Yuebai to discuss a breakthrough. He announced he had discovered a method to "level up" superhumans and proposed an experimental procedure: transplanting Xue Lingqiao’s bone marrow into himself to achieve a perfect, enhanced state. He acknowledged that the method was currently theoretical and required a test subject.
He believed Xue Lingqiao was ideal for the experiment, arguing that since Xue Lingqiao had no intention of joining their organization and might become a hindrance, transplanting his abilities to a loyal member like himself would benefit them both. Yuebai was taken aback by Jiang Yiheng's evident ambition, prompting Jiang Yiheng to reveal the true story of his mutation.
Jiang Yiheng, born Jiang Dongfang, recounted his past as a medical student in 1905, aspiring to study in Japan, while his parents served as housekeepers for the wealthy Zheng family. He often felt inferior due to his family's status. The Zheng family's son, Xincheng, and his friend, Ouyang, were unruly and frequently harassed Man Man, a girl Jiang Dongfang cared for deeply.
One evening, after luring Man Man to a cafe, Xincheng and Ouyang cornered her and hurled insults, even suggesting Jiang Dongfang might "hand her over" to his master. Unable to bear the humiliation, Jiang Dongfang punched Xincheng, causing Xincheng to be injured by falling decor. Jiang Dongfang was forced to kneel before Master Zheng, who labeled him an "immature ungrateful wretch" and banished his family to the countryside.
As Jiang Dongfang and his parents were leaving for the countryside, Xincheng and Ouyang, with their men, ambushed them and buried them alive. It was during this horrifying ordeal that Jiang Dongfang underwent a genetic mutation, allowing him to survive. He emerged a mutant without special powers, forced to live in hiding. He revealed that the victims of the cave murder cases were descendants of those who had wronged him in the past.
This traumatic experience fueled his unyielding determination to acquire power, believing it was the only way to avoid being bullied again. Back in the present, Jiang Yiheng lamented that his "immortality" had felt like a curse, forcing him into a life of cautious hiding, unable to avenge his parents or protect those he cared for. He felt like a "useless monster," the weakest among superhumans, despite his resistance to cold.
He argued that while others possessed "sticks" (powers), he was empty-handed. He asserted that only by holding both "money and the stick" could he achieve his desires. He questioned Yuebai's belief in achieving their goals with "clean hands," stating that the path to a glorious future was always paved with "blood and bones," and their aim should be to achieve the greatest outcome with the least sacrifice. He reiterated that sacrificing Xue Lingqiao was currently the best solution, highlighting that Yuebai needed both his loyalty and Xue Lingqiao's unique abilities.
