Jiang Yiheng revealed that he had successfully developed a new kind of stimulant by mixing Xue Lingqiao’s blood with Tian Jingzhi’s. He explained that Tian Jingzhi’s blood acted as a mediator, allowing him to create a substance that, when injected, could grant a portion of Xue Lingqiao’s strength, lasting up to ten hours, and it was stronger than his previous attempts. He asserted that only those with such powers truly deserved the title of superhuman.
Bai Lu observed that Jiang Yiheng seemed to have developed an addiction to obtaining power. Meanwhile, Yun Zhen expressed his joy that Xue Changan was safe, deeming it wonderful news worth celebrating. Xue Lingqiao agreed, relieved to know Xue Changan was alive, even though they hadn't brought him back. Jiang Dongfang was forced to kneel before Master Zheng, who labeled him an "immature ungrateful wretch" and banished his family to the countryside.
As Jiang Dongfang and his parents were leaving for the countryside, Xincheng and Ouyang, with their men, ambushed them and buried them alive. It was during this horrifying ordeal that Jiang Dongfang underwent a genetic mutation, allowing him to survive. He emerged a mutant without special powers, forced to live in hiding. He revealed that the victims of the cave murder cases were descendants of those who had wronged him in the past.
This traumatic experience fueled his unyielding determination to acquire power, believing it was the only way to avoid being bullied again. Back in the present, Jiang Yiheng lamented that his "immortality" had felt like a curse, forcing him into a life of cautious hiding, unable to avenge his parents or protect those he cared for. He felt like a "useless monster," the weakest among superhumans, despite his resistance to cold.
