Huang Jinming knocked out Chen Jiaping, but when he called Zhao An, he was killed by Lu Fangfang, who had arrived. Three days ago, Lu Fangfang, as a communist undercover agent known as "Yingwu," was officially activated. She became Mei Hua Four's superior and collaborated with him to investigate the military's "Shan Plan." It was Lu Fangfang who had used the park bench to pass on the information to Chen Jiaping about Huang Jinming's betrayal. Chen Jiaping didn't know who had saved him or who had killed Huang Jinming. He hadn't been out for long when he ran into Lu Fangfang and had a conversation with her.

Han Lu took the initiative to find Shan Xia Wufu to inquire about Ding Qiuyang's whereabouts and unexpectedly learned from Shan Xia Wufu that Ding Qiuyang had died. According to Shan Xia, he seemed to think that Ding Qiuyang was killed to silence him after a robbery.

Han Lu found a reason to visit a hospital, and Shan Xia didn't suspect anything. He took her to the hospital to confirm Ding Qiuyang's body. Only when Han Lu saw Ding Qiuyang's corpse in Cian Hospital did she confirm that he was truly dead. Shan Xia wanted Teng Tian Xiu Ming to take her back, but Han Lu politely declined. She left Cian Hospital on her own and used a payphone to call Jiang Zhaoguo. Her words reassured Jiang Zhaoguo, who promised her a final meeting. Little did she know that she was being followed at that moment.

The truth was far from what Han Lu had thought. The previous night, Ding Qiuyang had returned from the outskirts without going to the hospital. He had come to report to Shan Xia Wufu, but he didn't expect that Shan Xia Wufu would kill him.

Everything had been arranged by Shan Xia to use Han Lu to find Jiang Zhaoguo and, through him, locate Xique (Shi Yang). Even though Han Lu had only stopped outside the cafe and didn't meet Jiang Zhaoguo, Shan Xia's people still found Jiang Zhaoguo and followed him to the Dahua Hotel. Jiang Zhaoguo was very cautious, and ultimately, Shan Xia's people failed to capture him. Both Jiang Zhaoguo and Xique (Shi Yang) managed to escape and disappeared.

Chen Jiaping drove to the park and pretended to wash his car at the fountain, but his real purpose was to retrieve the information hidden under the park bench. The information was given to him by Yingwu, and it summarized the events at the Dahua Hotel. Zuo Shuangtao decided to stop the counterfeit money plan. She deliberately visited the hospital, pretending to have a heart problem. Conveniently, Qiao Yufeng was a cardiologist and let her in through the back door to examine her. From him, Zuo Shuangtao overheard that he would have a patient's appointment at the hospital at 7 p.m.

Back at home, Zuo Shuangtao schemed to make Chen Jiaping drink drugged soda, causing him to quickly pass out on the couch. When the time came, Xique (Shi Yang) arrived at the hospital, and Qiao Yufeng, as usual, administered an IV and prescribed him antibiotics. Zuo Shuangtao set off for Cian Hospital and concocted an excuse to send Qiao Yufeng outside to fetch her a scarf. As soon as Qiao Yufeng left, Zuo Shuangtao entered the inner room and saw Xique (Shi Yang) sitting there, receiving an intravenous drip.

Zuo Shuangtao, holding a knife, intended to kill him but discovered that Xique (Shi Yang) was already dead, and she didn't find anything on him. At that moment, Qiao Yufeng returned, and Zuo Shuangtao pretended to be shocked, trying to intimidate him into revealing where he had hidden Xique's belongings. Qiao Yufeng claimed not to know. While Zuo Shuangtao searched him, he grabbed a vial of medication and discreetly sprayed it on her, causing her to faint on the ground. Then, Qiao Yufeng called Mukimura Kensan. He was actually Mukimura's informant and recognized the person on the wanted poster as the patient who had come to see him. To control Xique, Qiao Yufeng injected him with some medication. However, it might have been an overdose, as Xique suddenly died. Mukimura Kensan instructed Qiao Yufeng to secure the scene and wait for his arrival to conduct a thorough examination.
