Miss The Dragon Episode 6 Recap
> Miss The Dragon Recap
Millions of years ago, at the dawn of chaos, a fierce war between immortals and devils unleashed turmoil across the three worlds. The ancient goddess Nuwa intervened, harnessing the combined power of immortals and devils to weave a Sky Net of Yin Spirit Power, which successfully sealed away the malevolent Evil Spirit. However, with the passage of time, the Sky Net gradually loosened and developed cracks, requiring constant repair with potent Yin Spirit Power.
To address this, Luofeng Pavilion diligently collected the scattered Yin Spirit Power released when an immortal fell and their soul dissipated, storing it within a Lotus Box for future needs. This collected power, imbued with the celestial essence bestowed by Nuwa, possessed immense energy. Unbeknownst to anyone, the once unconscious Yin Spirit Power mysteriously developed a divine consciousness and spontaneously transformed into a new soul.
This new soul then mimicked an immortal’s celestial trials and secretly descended to the human world. Luofeng Pavilion faced a grave dilemma: if this Yin Soul were to die a natural death, they would be unable to seal her soul back into the Sky Net. The only ways to retrieve her soul were if she died by accident, committed suicide, or if they forcibly seized her.
Bingxing offered to undertake the responsibility of forcibly seizing this Yin Soul in the human world, but Xue Qianxun, the Lord of Luofeng Pavilion, noted that the Yin Soul had its own protection and could not be seized while still residing within its body. He then recalled that Liuying, the girl with the Yin Soul, had previously made a blood oath with Xiahou Xue to die on the same day.
Xue Qianxun instructed that the oath between them be copied and placed into the Heavenly Oath Tower, ensuring its fulfillment. As Xiahou Xue was a mortal, a subordinate suggested that their plan could be initiated by acting through her. Qing Qing, who had been confined at Luofeng Pavilion by Xue Qianxun, overheard this critical information. She realized that Liuying, her great benefactor, was now in grave danger and resolved to warn her.
Though Xue Qianxun forced her to drink a large bowl of bitter tea as punishment, Qing Qing discovered her magic had been secretly restored and planned to inform Liuying immediately. Meanwhile, Longyan and Liuying's bond deepened as he taught her to paint. He confessed that his feelings for her went beyond mere gratitude, admitting his love. Liuying, in turn, confessed her reciprocal feelings, proposing they marry since their love was mutual.
Just as they affirmed their feelings, a beautiful Star Halo appeared in the sky, a sight Longyan declared a good omen. He presented Liuying with a betrothal gift and proposed a bet: if the Star Halo reappeared within three days, Liuying would give him a token of her love in return. If it didn’t, they would together learn about human customs like kissing. Tragedy soon struck when Xiahou Xue was attacked by a wolf demon on her way home.
She was gravely wounded, and physicians declared her beyond help. Unwilling to see Liuying cry, Longyan sought out the Immortal of Fate at Dragon Pool to obtain a powerful elixir. The Immortal of Fate reluctantly provided the medicine after teasing Longyan about his sudden need for it. However, upon returning, Longyan discovered that the wolf demon’s venom had already infiltrated Xiahou Xue's bones, and the elixir, while able to heal wounds, could not detoxify the poison.
Xiahou Xue died, and her soul departed her body. Longyan immediately pursued the fleeting soul, which led him directly to Luofeng Pavilion. There, he found Qing Qing, who urgently warned him about the blood oath, revealing that if Xiahou Xue died, Liuying would also perish. She explained that with Xiahou Xue’s accidental death, her soul had already arrived at Luofeng Pavilion, and the oath was now recorded in the Oath Tower, sealing Liuying’s fate to die within seven days.
Enraged, Longyan stormed into Luofeng Pavilion, demanding Xiahou Xue’s soul. Xue Qianxun confronted him, questioning why the Dragon King, who was destined to undergo his tribulation and ascend, would trespass for a mortal's soul. Longyan vowed to destroy Luofeng Pavilion if her soul was not surrendered. Xue Qianxun then proposed a deal based on heavenly law: Longyan could take Xiahou Xue’s soul, but only if he agreed to marry her and guard her through three tribulations.
Longyan initially refused, unwilling to marry Xiahou Xue or abandon his thousand-year tribulation. However, Xue Qianxun revealed that the Oath Tower was built by Nuwa and its oaths were unchangeable, even by the Heavenly Emperor. He further explained that Xiahou Xue’s soul had transformed into an ant and hidden itself, making it impossible to find unless Longyan agreed to the terms. Realizing Liuying’s life depended on it, Longyan reluctantly accepted the deal, sacrificing his imminent ascension.
Longyan returned with Xiahou Xue’s restored soul. Liuying, overjoyed that her friend was alive, embraced Longyan and expressed her desire to marry him, especially since the Star Halo had reappeared, fulfilling their bet. However, Longyan’s demeanor was somber. He told Liuying to forget him, explaining that he could not marry her. When Liuying questioned why, he revealed he was to marry Xiahou Xue.
Longyan could not explain the truth of his deal with Luofeng Pavilion, as Xue Qianxun had warned that any mortal or immortal who knew of it would face severe punishment. With a heavy heart, Longyan dismissed his previous declarations of love as a misunderstanding, leaving Liuying heartbroken and confused.
