> Miss The Dragon Recap

Qingyan discovered Marble, injured by a wolf demon who coveted Qingyan's Yin Soul. Just as Qingyan attempted to bring Marble back to Kunlun Mountain, the wolf demon reappeared. Fortunately, Yuchi arrived in time. He instructed Qingyan to leave the demon to him, and together, they managed to drive it away. However, Yuchi sustained an injury and was poisoned by the wolf.

Qingyan insisted on escorting him back to a room to rest and prepare her herbal remedies, despite his claims of being fine. While Qingyan tended to Yuchi’s wolf poison, applying her herbal remedies that caused him pain, Marble expressed surprise that Qingyan and Yuchi were still together after two hundred years. Yuchi recognized Marble as the small cat Liuying had saved, and realizing Marble lacked an inner core, questioned how she could still be with a mortal.

Qingyan corrected Yuchi, stating she was Qingyan, not Liuying. Yuchi, asserting his authority as the Dragon King, instructed Marble to collect the herbs instead of Qingyan, implying it was too strenuous for Qingyan. Although Marble initially wanted to refuse, Yuchi sealed her spiritual power, warning her not to escape. Marble then revealed that her sister, Chengcheng, had lost her mother when she was a kitten and was later killed by Kunlun disciples.

She then pleaded with Qingyan to allow her time to find new mothers for a group of newborn kittens they encountered, explaining the kittens would die if left alone. Qingyan, seeing the kittens' plight and Marble's compassionate nature, agreed to return to the wooden hut first, leaving Marble to care for them. Meanwhile, Xue Qianxun and Qingqing arrived to help Yuchi.

Xue Qianxun noted Yuchi's spiritual power was unusually weak for a mere wolf demon to cause such injury, speculating if Qingyan had used the Golden Eagle Dagger. He also worried about Xuanyang using the Dragon-slaying Sword if Yuchi's Dragon Breath wasn't covered, and borrowed the Soul-devouring Fan for this purpose. Xue Qianxun then urged Qingqing to return to Luofeng Pavilion, concerned the Golden Eagle Dagger could also harm her.

Qingqing, however, playfully refused, insisting she was there to see Qingyan and reasoning that Qingyan wouldn't harm her because Qingyan already knew she was a bird demon and they were good friends. As Qingqing refused, Xue Qianxun seemed lost in a millennium-old memory before solemnly departing. He then sought out the Immortal of Fate to inquire about the "Punishment of the Lonely Star" and why he had left the Terrace of Goddess Nuwa so long ago.

The Immortal of Fate claimed ignorance but, after Xue Qianxun left, secretly retrieved a hidden chronicle detailing Xue Qianxun's thousand-year past with Qingxuan bird Qingqing. Back at the hut, Qingyan joyfully greeted Qingqing, who had sensed Qingyan's presence. Qingyan introduced Qingqing as her secret friend, a bird demon, to Yuchi. Qingyan then prepared the herbal medicine for Yuchi, which Qingqing found incredibly bitter. Yuchi, however, drank the entire bowl without complaint.

Shortly after, Marble rushed back to the hut, warning them that a group of demons were at the entrance, intending to consume Qingyan. Yuchi, protective of Qingyan, declared that with him present, no one dared to harm her. Marble, identifying herself as the world's prettiest bird demon, joined them. Yuchi then unleashed his Dragon Fire, incinerating all the wolf demons into ashes, leaving none alive, ensuring Qingyan's safety.

Upon returning to the hut, Qingyan found Yuchi's forehead still burning with fever. Remembering her senior's advice, she attempted skin scraping to bring down the fever, which Yuchi found surprisingly painful. When his temperature still didn't drop, she tried another of her senior's methods: adding several more quilts to make him sweat. Yuchi grew uncomfortably hot and complained, but Qingyan insisted it would help him recover.

Later that night, Qingqing and Marble shared drinks in the forest, finding solace from their worries. Marble reiterated her unwavering loyalty to her benefactor, Liuying. When Qingqing returned to the hut, she was met by Xue Qianxun, who expressed frustration at finding her so drunk. He led her inside, reminding her to always wear the sachet he had given her, which he revealed contained a Tracing Spell, allowing him to locate her instantly.

He explained his concern for her safety, given her active and nosy nature. A drunken Qingqing, seemingly emboldened, joked that birds were not as bound by human formalities and could hug or even kiss if they wished, then embraced Xue Qianxun and attempted to kiss him before succumbing to sleep. In the quiet of the night, Yuchi awoke to find Qingyan asleep on him, holding him close.

He was filled with contentment, observing that despite the passage of lifetimes, she remained unchanged, still the Liuying who only recognized him. The next morning, Qingqing woke up flustered to find herself in bed with Xue Qianxun, her cheeks flushed. To deflect the situation, she quickly attributed her blushes to a mosquito bite and suggested they move outside.

Meanwhile, Qingyan decided to truly release Marble, acknowledging Marble's act of returning to warn them as proof of her inherent kindness, and urged her to live a virtuous life. Marble thanked Qingyan, but as she departed, a male voice from an unknown benefactor prompted her, asking if she truly wished to avenge her sister Chengcheng, and Marble agreed, stating she would do whatever it took, provided Qingyan was not harmed.

Soon after, Yuchi went to wake Qingyan but found her unusually unresponsive. Xue Qianxun and Qingqing arrived shortly after, and Xue Qianxun immediately diagnosed Qingyan's condition: she had fallen victim to an ancient art, the Nightmare Spell. He explained its dangerous nature: one year within the dream equates to one day in the real world, and after seven days, the caster would slowly absorb Qingyan's soul.

Xue Qianxun deduced that the caster must possess intimate knowledge of Qingyan's past, as Qingyan was peacefully lost in a dream that felt indistinguishable from reality, possibly created using hair or skin from someone familiar with Liuying's previous life in Xiahou’s Mansion. To save Qingyan, they needed to find and kill the spell caster within seven days.

Yuchi could enter Qingyan's dreamscape using his spiritual awareness, as the caster's seemingly real dream would inevitably contain flaws that could reveal their identity. However, Yuchi would be unable to awaken from the dream himself. He would have to communicate clues through movements to those in the real world, who would in turn hear his responses. If the caster was not killed within seven days, Yuchi's soul would remain trapped in Qingyan's dream, falling into a permanent nightmare.

Despite the immense danger, Yuchi, resolute in saving Qingyan, asked Xue Qianxun to cast the spell to send him into her dream, which appeared to be a recreation of Liuying's old room.
