Miss The Dragon Episode 10 Recap
> Miss The Dragon Recap
Following his previous encounter with Qing Qing, Xue Qianxun brought the gifts Yuchi Longyan had prepared for Liuying to Luofeng Pavilion. When Qing Qing arrived to find the silk torn and cakes eaten, she was incensed. She confronted him, declaring she was no longer his maid and criticizing his coldness compared to her "real friends." Realizing the items were for Liuying, Xue Qianxun’s jealousy subsided.
He reasserted their hundred-year agreement and tried to appease her with osmanthus cakes and the promise of "real treasures." Feigning reconciliation, Qing Qing offered him tea, which she had secretly laced with a laxative. After drinking it, Xue Qianxun felt his mood shifting erratically, unaware of the cause. Meanwhile, Liuying discovered a painting in a shop that struck her as profoundly familiar.
The woman in the painting resembled her, and the vivid dragon with its tender gaze towards the woman resonated deeply within her. She purchased the artwork, realizing it depicted the man from her dreams, whom she now understood to be Yuchi Longyan. After peacefully passing away in this lifetime, Liuying proceeded to the River of Tears to drink the Lethe Tea. Yuchi Longyan awaited her there, calling out "Little Liuying," a familiar endearment that fully restored her memories.
She realized that while everything else from her past life had faded like a beautiful dream, Yuchi Longyan remained vividly clear. He was the one who watched fireflies with her and took her soaring above the clouds. As an attendant urged her to drink the tea to erase her past, Liuying initially resisted, unwilling to forget Yuchi Longyan. He gently persuaded her, explaining that returning to the mortal world was for her own good.
He promised that if she ever saw fireflies again, it would signify his presence by her side, and perhaps then she would remember him. As she drank the tea, he quietly whispered, "I love you." Her memories instantly vanished, and she no longer recognized Yuchi Longyan, though she allowed him to guide her onto the Luofeng Bridge. Seeing her apprehension, Yuchi Longyan held her hand as she crossed, vowing that one day he would bring her to his Dragon Pool.
Yuchi Longyan and Qing Qing arrived at Luofeng Pavilion, bursting in. Displeased by their closeness, Xue Qianxun magically drew Qing Qing to his side, calling her his "personal maid." Yuchi Longyan explained his urgent purpose: he sought Xue Qianxun's counsel on how to break the three-tribulation vow he shared with Xiahou Xue. He humbly apologized for any past disrespect, offering to fulfill any task for Xue Qianxun in return.
Xue Qianxun initially refused, stating that there was no precedent and rules could not be broken. However, witnessing the Dragon King, who had never bowed to anyone, make such a profound exception for Liuying, Xue Qianxun agreed to speak with him privately, eventually disclosing the method to release Yuchi Longyan from the vow. Upon learning the method, Yuchi Longyan returned to his Dragon Pool.
Enduring agonizing pain, he tore out the reverse scale from his neck and transformed it into a doppelganger. This doppelganger would then attach itself to a man destined for Xiahou Xue who lacked a part of his soul, thereby deceiving the heavens about the vow’s fulfillment. The Immortal of Fate was aghast, exclaiming that Yuchi Longyan was insane, as removing a reverse scale was exceedingly dangerous.
Yuchi Longyan, willing to do anything for Liuying, asked the Immortal of Fate to find a suitable individual for the doppelganger to inhabit. The Immortal of Fate initially refused, only agreeing if Yuchi Longyan gave him the Golden Armor. Without hesitation, Yuchi Longyan handed over the armor, which he had nearly died to obtain for a thunder tribulation. The Immortal of Fate warned him not to regret his choice, but Yuchi Longyan firmly stated he would never regret it.
Later, Qing Qing returned to Luofeng Pavilion with osmanthus cakes for Xue Qianxun, only to find him gravely wounded and bleeding. From Bingxing, she learned that Xue Qianxun had made an exception for Yuchi Longyan and, as self-punishment for showing partiality, had endured the "broken bones" punishment. Witnessing Xue Qianxun’s weakened state, Qing Qing grew anxious. She apologized for her past remarks, promising not to leave him again and affirming that he was not cold-hearted.
However, upon hearing Xue Qianxun state his intention to still use Liuying's soul to patch the sky net, Qing Qing instantly transformed into a bird and flew away to warn Yuchi Longyan. Xue Qianxun was left in despair, as Qing Qing, who had just promised to stay forever, had left without a second thought. Meanwhile, Yuchi Longyan learned a devastating truth from the Immortal of Fate: despite the doppelganger deceiving the heavens, he still could not marry Liuying.
Nevertheless, he resolved to stay by her side, wherever she might be in the mortal world. Finally, Liuying was reborn. Qing Qing, overjoyed to see her, questioned why Liuying would choose a place called Yuchi Town for her rebirth. Yuchi Longyan pointed out the similarity between the town's name and his own, suggesting it was a destined choice. He affectionately greeted the newborn Liuying, affirming that in the end, she had chosen him.
