Luo Tianran had not yet properly thanked Yun Shu for kindly giving her the rare music album during their last brief encounter at the restaurant. She planned to invite him to dinner that weekend, but Yun Shu suggested taking her somewhere special instead, promising she would love it. He took her to a horse culture museum. As Yun Shu expected, Luo Tianran was captivated by the experience.
She admired the large Falabella, Bronas, Budyonny, Gelderland, Shire, and Oldenburg horses, and learned about their histories from Yun Shu. She also saw paintings depicting Napoléon's triumphant return and hunting scenes, and marvelled at the exquisite vintage carriages, including a special one designed for weddings with both Chinese and Western features. Luo Tianran found the horse-riding musicians' painted pottery figurines from the Tang Dynasty particularly charming, and Yun Shu shared poems praising horses from that era.
Luo Tianran expressed her awe at Yun Shu's extensive knowledge. Yun Shu offered to bring her back more often if she liked it, and she enthusiastically agreed. After the museum, Yun Shu led Luo Tianran to a beautiful flower garden, a place he thought of when she mentioned her love for collecting sounds of nature. He hoped it would inspire her music. Luo Tianran was deeply grateful and collected many sound materials.
While there, Yun Shu confided that Luo Tianran reminded him of a pure-hearted, kind person who loved music, someone who had cheered him up during a difficult time many years ago. Luo Tianran replied that fate would bring them together if it was meant to be. They spent the day together until late. At home, Jin Zeyi grew impatient, unable to interfere with Luo Tianran's activities. After Luo Tianran went to rest, Jin Zeyi noticed her laptop was still on.
He casually opened a recording from the flower garden. He heard Yun Shu's voice suggesting she could return to that spot next time she wanted to record. Jin Zeyi's jealousy flared, and he angrily slammed the laptop shut, feeling very uneasy. The next day, as Luo Tianran focused on composing, Jin Zeyi intentionally disrupted her, teasing her and loudly playing the drums. Luo Tianran, annoyed, told him to leave her alone.
Jin Zeyi then went to swim in the rooftop pool, visible to Luo Tianran through the glass ceiling. Annoyed by his antics, Luo Tianran eventually went upstairs to confront him. Jin Zeyi retorted that her "important" music sounded like cheesy pop songs, to which Luo Tianran defended that such songs were popular and that he was pretentious for judging music as noble or vulgar. At that moment, Jin Xiaoqin called Luo Tianran, explaining that her fast-food truck business was very busy and asking for help. Luo Tianran readily agreed. Jin Zeyi, overhearing, immediately assumed it was Yun Shu calling again.
He sternly reminded Luo Tianran that she was a married woman, implying she should be careful not to make it seem like his wife was misbehaving. Luo Tianran retorted, asking if being married meant she couldn't help a friend with their business. Realizing it was Jin Xiaoqin, Jin Zeyi allowed it but stubbornly insisted Luo Tianran prepare a full meal for him before he returned from the company. Luo Tianran, frustrated by his lack of conscience, agreed.
On his way to the company, Jin Zeyi drove past Jin Xiaoqin's food truck, noticing it was not busy at all. He approached Jin Xiaoqin, who revealed that today was Luo Tianran's birthday, and they had concocted the busy business story to surprise her. Upon learning the truth, Jin Zeyi immediately called Luo Tianran, telling her to stop cooking and hurry to the food truck, lying that Jin Xiaoqin was sick. Luo Tianran, concerned, quickly dropped her cooking to leave.
Jin Zeyi then went to a shopping mall, where he purchased an expensive vintage polaroid camera and a bouquet of flowers as birthday gifts for Luo Tianran. Before Luo Tianran could leave for the food truck, Yun Shu called, wanting to introduce a renowned music producer to her. This was a major opportunity for her musical aspirations, so Luo Tianran enthusiastically accepted. She then called Lin Che, asking him to check on Jin Xiaoqin for her.
Little did she know, the producer Yun Shu was introducing was her long-admired idol, Mr. Xiaosa. She met them at a wedding dress shop, surprised that her idol owned such a business. After listening to Luo Tianran's compositions, Mr. Xiaosa found them unique and pure, like a child's casual humming, and expressed his strong interest in collaborating with her.
Luo Tianran was ecstatic, feeling it was the best birthday gift she could have received, and asked Yun Shu to take a picture of her with Mr. Xiaosa. Meanwhile, Jin Zeyi arrived at the food truck with his gifts but couldn't find Luo Tianran. Jin Xiaoqin told him that Luo Tianran usually went to the amusement park every year for her birthday. Jin Zeyi immediately headed to the amusement park, despite the risk of drawing attention.
Although he attempted various disguises, he was quickly recognized and surrounded by throngs of fans, forcing him to keep running. Despite searching extensively, he couldn't find Luo Tianran anywhere. Exhausted, he called A Tai to pick him up. News of Jin Zeyi's appearance at the amusement park quickly became a trending topic online, which Luo Tianran saw while at home. Jin Zeyi and Luo Tianran returned home one after the other.
Learning that Jin Zeyi had gone to the amusement park to look for her, Luo Tianran felt a hint of pleasure. She told him she hadn't visited the park this year and lamented that she probably wouldn't get the chance. Jin Zeyi then prepared a bowl of long-life noodles for her. Luo Tianran, skating for the first time, struggled comically. Jin Zeyi initially teased her relentlessly, but seeing her genuinely disheartened, he stopped joking, offered her a hand, and began to patiently teach her. As they gracefully skated hand in hand, Jin Zeyi looked at her and softly wished her a happy birthday.
