Instigated by Wei Xuanhe, Qin Yue arrives at Summer Time during business hours with a camera crew in tow. She starts a live broadcast, falsely accusing Lei Chuxia’s popular dessert shop of using cheap ingredients and causing food poisoning among her followers. Lei Chuxia confronts her, defending the shop's integrity and challenging Qin Yue to provide proof, vowing to take full responsibility if the claims are true, but demanding a public apology if they are not.
Qin Yue then corners Chuxia, snatches the electronic bracelet from her wrist, and threatens to reveal to Xu Xiaodong the truth about who was responsible for his father's death. The combination of the public accusation and Qin Yue’s threat overwhelms Lei Chuxia. Her emotions spiral out of control, causing the shop's lights and electronic devices to flicker and spark violently. The customers, witnessing the strange phenomenon, excitedly start filming, speculating that she has superpowers.
The chaos forces the staff to close the shop early. From his hospital bed, Xu Xiaodong sees the live stream of the incident at Summer Time. Without a second thought, he rips the IV drip from his arm and rushes to the shop. He finds Lei Chuxia sitting in a daze and carries her away from the scene. Once they are safe, he pleads with her to never push him away again, no matter what happens.
His unwavering support gives her the courage to confess what Wei Xuanhe told her. She admits that when she traveled back ten years, she learned she was the one who framed Xu Xiaodong's father. Yuan Yuan is furious and staunchly refuses to believe that Lei Chuxia is capable of such a crime. She insists that Xu Xiaodong should trust Chuxia unconditionally. Jin Xiaorui, however, is more measured.
Understanding the weight of the situation for his best friend, he states that Xu Xiaodong needs time to process everything and leaves to comfort him. Alone with Yuan Yuan, Chuxia admits that even she can't trust herself anymore and feels an overwhelming need to atone for a crime she doesn't remember committing. To help her, Yuan Yuan brings out a box of their childhood mementos, reminding Chuxia of her inherently kind nature.
While looking through old photos, Chuxia notices several have been cut in half, but when she asks why, Yuan Yuan nervously changes the subject. Meanwhile, Xu Xiaodong is deeply conflicted. He recalls his father’s old advice to ignore the noise and trust his own heart. His thoughts are interrupted by Jin Xiaorui, who arrives with beer and video games to distract him.
Jin Xiaorui notes how devastated Lei Chuxia appeared and asks if Xu Xiaodong truly believes she is the culprit, but a confused Xu Xiaodong offers no answer. Wei Xuanhe learns about Qin Yue's disastrous live stream and immediately has it shut down. When she confronts him, he lies, claiming he's protecting the company from a scandal, not Lei Chuxia.
Their conversation is cut short by the arrival of Zhao Yaoyang, who has investigated Xu Xiaodong and dismisses him as an incompetent fool. Wei Xuanhe, however, remains wary, sensing that Xu Xiaodong is not as simple as he appears. He delays using the stolen source code for his "Family First" app and instructs his assistant, Li Geng, to dig up everything he can on Xu Xiaodong.
Following their meeting, Zhao Yaoyang has Xu Xiaodong summoned to the Yao Yang Tech office late at night, only to unceremoniously fire him. As this happens, Li Geng attempts to break into Xu Xiaodong's apartment to search for evidence, but he is discovered by watchful neighborhood ladies who mistake him for a burglar and scare him off. After a long night of soul-searching, Xu Xiaodong decides to follow his father's advice and trust his heart.
He chooses to believe in Lei Chuxia. The next day, he finds her being harassed at her shop by a crowd eager to see her "superpowers." He fiercely defends her, scolds the crowd for their intrusive behavior, and leads her away. Lei Chuxia is moved that he believes in her innocence, and he reveals a plan to clear her name. They stage a new live stream, where Lei Chuxia comically pretends to have superpowers, using over-the-top special effects.
The performance climaxes with the reveal of a new "Alien Cake," successfully convincing the online audience that the whole superpower incident was just an elaborate marketing stunt. Later, Lei Chuxia receives a package from her parents containing a video message. They encourage her to always listen to her inner voice, reminding her that it's what led her to her dream of becoming a dessert chef.
At the same time, Xu Xiaodong is alerted by his home security AI about the attempted break-in. Realizing it must be connected to his firing, he immediately calls Zhao Yaoyang to arrange a meeting.
