At the office, Frank approaches Yin Yike to get approval for funding live streamer candidates, highlighting the bright future of live stream e-commerce. Yike agrees to review his proposal. Shortly after, her colleagues celebrate a project's success. Yike promises to treat them to dinner after they finish their overtime work and sends the necessary documents to Frank.
Annoyed after overhearing her rival Jiang Man bragging about a dinner invitation from Chen Musen's group, where Xu Guangxi would also be, Yike impulsively decides to take her team to join that same dinner. Meanwhile, Jiang Man discusses the dinner plan with her colleagues, asking if her lipstick looks good and drawing comments on her obvious interest in Xu Guangxi. That evening, Yin Yike's team joins Xu Guangxi's group.
Jiang Man remarks that Yike seems to be constantly monitoring Guangxi, a claim Yike dismisses. The conversation shifts to work, with Jiang Man complaining about being too busy for makeup since Yike’s transfer. After Jiang Man mentions she lives in Wujiaochang, Yike adds that she also bought an apartment there after university, to which Guangxi chimes in that he lives nearby. The group then teases Guangxi about his love life, claiming he has a near-perfect success rate with women.
Jiang Man presses him about the "1%" he couldn't win over. Guangxi admits there is someone he likes, but he is unsure of her feelings and fears rejection. Realizing they aren't officially a couple, Jiang Man sees an opportunity for herself. In response, Yin Yike discreetly takes Xu Guangxi's hand under the table. Surprised and pleased, Guangxi firmly holds her hand when she tries to pull away. Elsewhere, Chen Ye's children tease him about failing to win over Qin Yiran.
Chen Ye confidently declares that he is close to getting her WeChat contact. Acting on a tip from Chen Musen that Qin Yiran is a "Club Queen," Chen Ye finds her at a popular nightclub. Qin Yiran confronts him for asking for her WeChat previously and then disappearing.
He explains it was due to a poor signal in an elevator and that he came to find her because his company wants to organize a joint event with hers, and her presence is essential. To get his contact, Qin Yiran challenges him to a dance-off. Chen Ye impresses her with his skilled moves, earning the nickname "Prince of the Ballroom." Impressed, Qin Yiran finally agrees to add him on WeChat.
Just as they are about to leave together, Chen Ye receives an urgent call from his child, who is suffering from a stomach ache. He rushes off immediately, sending Qin Yiran a quick message to apologize and confirm the location for the joint event. Reading the message, Qin Yiran feels she has been stood up for a second time and becomes furious.
Later, Qin Yiran and Yin Yike meet up, both angry about their respective situations with Chen Ye and Xu Guangxi. They decide to handle it the same way: by ignoring their messages and deleting the chat conversations. Separately, Chen Ye advises Xu Guangxi on pursuing Yin Yike, stating that all women have a "girlish heart" that needs attention. In her conversation with Qin Yiran, Yike expresses her anxieties about the age and status gap between her and Guangxi.
Qin Yiran scoffs at her hesitation, advocating for a more direct approach while reaffirming her own stance of remaining unmarried and childless. Meanwhile, Yin Yibo is at home, livestreaming as "Dan from Xiafei Road," where he discusses e-commerce trends and sales data like an experienced online personality. After the group dinner, Yike declines to go to KTV, and on a later day, Xu Guangxi intercepts her leaving work.
He insists on hitching a ride in her car to get "even" for her holding his hand. After the ride, as Yike tries to hurry away, Guangxi stops her and questions why she is running. She claims it is late, but he brings up the hand-holding, stating that they are adults now and not children. He declares that by him getting a ride, they are now "even." Yike agrees the matter is settled and leaves, leaving Guangxi frustrated.
Around the same time, one of Xu Guangxi's female colleagues moves out to find a new job, encouraged by Yin Yibo, and promises to treat everyone to a meal once she is successful. Later, after failing an interview because she lacks a bachelor's degree, she sees a recruitment ad for live streamers at SC, Yin Yike's company, and decides to apply. The family, including Yin Yike, Xu Guangxi, Yin Yibo, and their mother, has dinner together.
The mother and Yike pressure Yibo about his postgraduate entrance exams and his lack of a job, threatening to cut his allowance. After dinner, Guangxi invites Yibo to play basketball. While Yibo complains to Guangxi about the pressure from his family, Yike watches from the sidelines. During a break, Guangxi approaches Yike, takes her lemonade, and drinks it all. She calls him rude, but he simply thanks her, remarking that it was "a little sour, but good."
