Yin Yike, attempting to leave a hotel discreetly, unexpectedly encountered her best friend, Qin Yiran. When Qin Yiran inquired about Li Zelin, Yin Yike, clearly uncomfortable, dismissed the topic, mentioning he hadn't returned on her birthday. This led them into a deeper discussion about various definitions of cheating, stemming from a hypothetical friend's situation. Yin Yike skillfully sidestepped her friend's probing questions, and they soon hurried off to work, running late.
Upon arriving at her office, Yin Yike instructed her subordinate, Shen Xin, to prepare for a meeting. In the meeting, Yin Yike, the Marketing Department manager, passionately defended her decision to choose the artist Li Li as the spokesperson for their brand's new product, Lian Yu. She emphasized targeting well-educated professionals, contrasting their brand's approach with competitors who use idol groups, which she believed were merely seeking quick profits and often faced reputation issues.
However, Mr. Kong and Frank presented data showing the impressive sales performance of a popular idol, Chen Zicheng. Mr. Kong ultimately decided to assign the perfume series to Chen Zicheng while keeping Li Li for the scented series. Though he initially asked Jiang Man to contact the agent, he quickly reassigned the task to Frank. Later, Yin Yike delivered the revised contracts to Mr. Kong.
He complimented her appearance, stating she looked prettier and that the dress suited her, suggesting she dress similarly in the future as the Marketing Department represents the company's image. Meanwhile, at another company, Chen Ye showed his colleagues a video of a very inebriated Yin Yike, making light of her drunken ramblings about "workplace psychological suggestions" and how bosses manipulate employees. This revelation shocked Yin Yike, who suddenly realized that "Lele" was actually Xu Guangxi, the man she had encountered while drunk. Xu Guangxi admitted he had thought she looked familiar at a convenience store and later confirmed her identity through a business card she had given a colleague. He explained he had been waiting for the "right time" to reveal himself. He then playfully recounted her drunken state the previous night: her insistence on more drinks, her refusal to go home to avoid her father's discovery, and their subsequent trip to a hotel.
He teased her about "indescribable" events, including her attempting to remove her clothes due to feeling hot. He eventually clarified that nothing untoward had happened, but jokingly accused her of snoring loudly. Yin Yike tried to grab his phone, suspecting he had recorded her, but he revealed he hadn't. He finally confessed that his earlier comment about her getting "more energetic the more you drink" referred to coffee, and mentioned he had found her lost lipstick.
They then agreed to keep their shared secret. As they chatted, Li Zelin suddenly appeared, having driven from Beijing to make up for missing Yin Yike's birthday. He introduced himself as her boyfriend to Xu Guangxi, acknowledging him as "Aunt Lan's son" and thus her "brother." Li Zelin apologized and proudly presented a car trunk full of roses.
Yin Yike immediately sneezed from her pollen allergy, a fact Li Zelin was oblivious to, stating his secretary had told him all girls love roses. Yin Yike silently closed the trunk. Since Li Zelin hadn't eaten and she didn't want him to disturb her parents, she agreed to go eat with him. Xu Guangxi watched them leave with a look of sadness. Back at his apartment, Xu Guangxi found Aunt Lan tidying up.
He tried to give her money for the meal, but she refused. When the conversation turned to Yin Yike, Aunt Lan shared that she and Li Zelin had been together for four years and were planning to marry this year, expressing relief that they had made up after a recent fight. Aunt Lan then reminded Xu Guangxi that at home, he should refer to Yin Yike as "sister." After she departed, Xu Guangxi, alone in his room, softly whispered "sister" to himself.
