Yin Yike, who had already pulled her car out, quickly reversed back into her parking spot and ran inside, only to re-emerge, feigning a fresh departure. Xu Guangxi, having witnessed the entire maneuver, was endeared by her adorable attempt to make it seem like she hadn't been eagerly waiting.
Meanwhile, Yin Yike's aunt, Lan, expressed concern over Yin Yike's late-night calls, assuming she was talking to a man named Zelin and pondering their marriage prospects, completely unaware of Yin Yike's new relationship. Transformed by love, Yin Yike displayed a newfound cheerfulness at work. Xu Guangxi tried to silence him, but the secret was out. After Xu Guangxi saw Chen Musen off, Yin Yike, who had been waiting in the office, playfully startled him while wearing a mask.
She then confronted him about Jiang Jun, jokingly threatening to get the full story from Chen Musen over lunch. Xu Guangxi quickly clarified that there was nothing serious between them, explaining that his emotional reaction was simply a display of passionate love, as intense as fire. He argued a relationship should be all-consuming; otherwise, it would be a disservice to both people. Amused, Yin Yike called him a "love expert."
They spent the evening working together, with Yin Yike affirming her belief in his talent and encouraging him to pursue his creative vision, even if it defied client demands. Simultaneously, Xu Guangxi presented his project, "Fengqi Shendu," a story about a fox-demon killer in the Tang Dynasty infused with modern female empowerment themes. The client, Mr. Xie, was impressed but immediately stated his intention to buy out the project, which would remove Xu Guangxi and his team from its future development. Xu Guangxi firmly refused, declaring their bottom line was to lead the project they created to completion.
Unwilling to compromise his artistic integrity, Xu Guangxi abruptly left the meeting. Chen Ye, though apologetic to Mr. Xie for Xu Guangxi's temper, stood firm, refusing to sell out his team's work. Mr. Xie then resorted to threats, mocking Chen Ye's struggling company and predicting its bankruptcy. Chen Ye defiantly retorted that the film’s success depended on his own ability and that he intended to live a long life to see it through, showing his unwavering loyalty to his team.
