Yu Sifeng always believed that Chu Xuanji was not that kind of person. Teng She, though not entirely convinced, stated that this was the rumor in the heavenly realm.

Teng She laughed at Yu Sifeng for worrying too much, saying that King Bailin cared about the three realms and would not snatch Chu Xuanji away. Hao Chen used a magical artifact to test Yu Sifeng's hair. The fact that the hair did not change color meant that Yu Sifeng was not a demon, which finally dispelled Hao Chen's concerns.

However, retrieving the other half of Chu Linglong's primordial spirit required a Soul-Leading Bell. Yu Sifeng seized on Teng She's weakness of being greedy for food and induced Teng She to continue to help. Teng She then used the Sun Spirit Moon Rhino Talisman to establish contact with Xiao Liuzi.

As long as Xiao Liuzi could steal the Soul-Leading Bell, Teng She could summon Chu Linglong's other primordial spirit outside Buzhou Mountain. The Flower Demon asked Xiao Liuzi to show her the Myriad Tribulations Barren Mirror again. In the mirror, the Flower Demon saw Wu Tong extract half of her primordial spirit and inject Chu Linglong's primordial spirit. The Flower Demon guided Xiao Liuzi and Ruo Yu to find her primordial spirit.

Ruo Yu successfully obtained the remaining half of the Flower Demon's primordial spirit and persuaded the Flower Demon to steal the Soul-Leading Bell so that each of their primordial spirits could return to their original owner. The Flower Demon thought that this would verify whether Wu Tong liked her or Chu Linglong, so she readily agreed. Chu Xuanji, Yu Sifeng, and Teng She had also arrived outside Buzhou Mountain and were ready to respond at any time.

The Flower Demon seized the opportunity to replace the real Soul-Leading Bell with a fake one and handed it to Xiao Liuzi. Teng She performed the spell outside Buzhou Mountain and successfully extracted Chu Linglong's primordial spirit. When it was time to retrieve the Flower Demon's primordial spirit, Ruo Yu quietly took off Xiao Liuzi's Sun Spirit Moon Rhino Talisman. Xiao Liuzi was cut off from outside contact.
