There, she encountered Dongqing, a senior disciple loyal to Mei Ying, who disrespectfully challenged her presence, stating that no one but the disciples of the Hall of Life could enter without Master Mei's permission.
Xiaoxiao, who was by Rong Hua's side and was soon to be the master of the Hall of Sickness, reprimanded Dongqing for his impudence. Rong Hua calmly told Dongqing to mind his duties as a disciple, pointing out several medicinal herbs misplaced in the pharmacy, a subtle critique of Mei Ying's management. Later, as Rong Hua was having tea, Xiaoxiao expressed her anxiety about the upcoming four halls meeting, where Rong Hua had no official place.
