Later, Gu Nanting, suspecting Wang Fan’s old shoes contributed to his fall, had new high-top antiskid boots delivered to the maintenance department.
A maintenance worker noted that the new boots were far more comfortable than the stiff, company-issued ones. Hearing this, Ni Zhan instructed everyone to switch to the new boots. Meanwhile, Xia Zhi and Song Song headed to Cheng Xiao's housewarming party. Xia Zhi carried a blanket as a gift, live-streaming their journey and insisting that Song Song try some milk tea. Back at the apartment, Xia Zhi woke up to find Song Song’s face covered in itchy red rashes from his allergic reaction to the milk tea. Feeling responsible, she promised to take care of him and ran out to buy medicine, for which he was grateful. That night, a sleepless Gu Nanting composed a message to his deceased ex-girlfriend, Luo Yi, confessing his growing feelings for Cheng Xiao but expressing his dilemma, as her brother, Ni Zhan, also liked her.
Meanwhile, Song Song encouraged Cheng Xiao not to give up on Gu Nanting, but she was frustrated by his hot-and-cold behavior, stating that if he truly liked her, he wouldn't deliberately avoid her. Over the next month, Cheng Xiao and Gu Nanting immersed themselves in work, flying different routes. In his office, Gu Nanting was seen updating a map with her new flight paths. Gu Nanting remembered it was Ni Zhan's birthday and offered to treat him to dinner, but backed off when Ni Zhan said he wanted to invite Cheng Xiao.
