Bai Qian was tidying the Pellet-Cultivating Room when Mo Yuan arrived. She spoke to him, recalling that it was in this very place that he had once endured three bolts of heavenly lightning on her behalf. Mo Yuan, with a hint of amusement and a doting gaze, noted that while she struggled with his teachings on battle formations and spells, she remembered this "minor" incident.

Bai Qian earnestly pledged her unwavering filial devotion, promising to never forget his kindness, but Mo Yuan responded with a single, questioning word, "Filial?" Bai Qian then offered to brew him tea, but Mo Yuan declined, telling her to return to her duties, and Bai Qian respectfully departed. Later, while Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen were engaged in a game of Go, Bai Qian pulled Bai Zhen aside, seeking a favor.

Bai Zhen immediately guessed it concerned the Crown Prince, remarking that only Ye Hua could make her act like a little girl. Bai Qian confirmed it, asking him to cover for her for a few hours so she could visit Ye Hua in the Mortal Realm.

Bai Zhen teased her about hiding her "immersion in love" from her senior brothers, but Bai Qian explained her true concern: Mo Yuan might want to check on his twin brother, Ye Hua, during his mortal tribulation, and she worried the murky air of the Mortal Realm would hinder Mo Yuan's recovery. Bai Zhen, finding her devotion a bit excessive, negotiated the time down to one stick of incense, warning her not to be too clingy.

Although embarrassed, Bai Qian accepted. As snow began to fall in Kunlun Void, she hurried to the Mortal Realm. Unbeknownst to Bai Qian, Bai Zhen soon followed her, curious as to why she was visiting the young Crown Prince who, by his calculations, couldn't be more than ten years old. The Mortal Realm mirrored Kunlun Void with falling snow. Bai Qian arrived outside a schoolhouse, drawn by the sound of children reciting.

Inside, she spotted a handsome young boy with a cool demeanor, strikingly similar to Ye Hua. This boy, named Zhaoge in the mortal world, was a child genius whose advanced knowledge made his studies seem effortless. After classes, Bai Qian witnessed other children bullying Zhaoge, singing a cruel song about him being a disabled child from the Liu family with a missing arm. Bai Qian was horrified to see Zhaoge's right sleeve empty, realizing he had indeed lost an arm.

She inwardly condemned the Heavenly Monarch for such harsh treatment of his own grandson during his mortal tribulation. Zhaoge calmly stopped his two loyal bookboys from retaliating against the bullies, who lamented his misfortune, wondering why fate had taken his arm despite his good nature. Seeing him silently adjust his empty sleeve, Bai Qian's heart ached, but she could not reveal herself. She followed him from dusk until nightfall, waiting for his bookboys to leave.

Once alone, Bai Qian materialized by Zhaoge's bedside, introducing herself as a minor immortal from Qingqiu who, having glimpsed the heavenly plans, knew they were destined to marry in ten years. Zhaoge, though meeting her for the first time, was visibly taken by her beauty, calling her "very pretty." As they parted, Bai Qian gave Zhaoge a pearl bracelet, explaining it would keep him safe in her absence. In return, Zhaoge offered her his jade pendant.

Bai Qian then made him promise not to marry any other woman, assuring him she would visit often and would marry him once he grew up. Though momentarily surprised, Zhaoge blushed and agreed, cementing Qingqiu as the place he would forever seek. Unbeknownst to Bai Qian, Bai Zhen had followed her and overheard the exchange. He teased her about being overly meticulous and even more jealous than her sister-in-law, fearing Ye Hua might attract unnecessary romance in the mortal world.

Bai Qian retorted that he, of all beings, understood women the least. The next morning, Zhaoge immediately began searching for "Qingqiu," asking his bookboys and even his teacher about the mysterious place, but no one had ever heard of it. Upon returning to Kunlun Void, Bai Qian and Bai Zhen found Fengjiu alone, distraught and weeping. She confided in Bai Qian that she couldn't forget Donghua, despite his cold words and harsh treatment.

She then challenged Bai Qian, asking if she could forget Crown Prince Ye Hua, to which Bai Qian honestly admitted she could not. Zhe Yan and Mo Yuan, who had been observing, then revealed their presence. Fengjiu, startled, apologized to Mo Yuan for her rude remarks, explaining that she was still unaccustomed to seeing him alive and full of vitality after his long slumber.

Zhe Yan invited everyone, including Mo Yuan, to join them for drinks, offering some treasured wine Mo Yuan had acquired previously. As they drank, Bai Qian reminisced about a past birthday spent imprisoned in the Water Prison by High Goddess Yao Guang, an admirer of Mo Yuan. Mo Yuan, seemingly unaware of the extent of Yao Guang's infatuation, asked Zhe Yan about it, but Zhe Yan dismissed the topic of the departed goddess.

Bai Qian, noticing Fengjiu's rapid intoxication, then asked Zhe Yan why Donghua, like Mo Yuan, seemed to avoid women. She questioned if he was "a man or not." Zhe Yan praised Donghua's past as the ruler of Heaven and Earth, sighing that Fengjiu had chosen "such a person" but still acknowledged her discerning choice. Fengjiu, despite her sorrow, defended Donghua fiercely.

Mo Yuan then explained that Donghua's aversion to women was for the sake of the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses, a point Zhe Yan echoed. The next morning, Bai Qian found Fengjiu again, gently urging her to return to Qingqiu and prepare to assume the role of monarch, as Bai Qian's wedding to Ye Hua was imminent.

Fengjiu resisted, pointing out Bai Qian's own inability to forget Ye Hua and accusing her aunt of wanting her to abandon Donghua and remain confined to Qingqiu. She tearfully declared she wouldn't accept the throne if it meant giving up on Donghua and the Nine Heavens. Bai Qian tried to reason with her, asserting that she and Donghua were not fated, but Fengjiu felt betrayed, believing Bai Qian was the only one who had supported her pursuit of Donghua.

Bai Zhen intervened, observing the similar stubbornness in both niece and aunt. He offered to personally escort Fengjiu back to Qingqiu, promising to handle her father and ease the pressure on her. He stated he would leave first, as Zhe Yan would stay with Mo Yuan in Kunlun Void for a few more days to attend to Mo Yuan's health. Li Jing and his Fire Kirin arrived at Kunlun Void.

The powerful dragon aura confirmed Mo Yuan's return, making it difficult for Li Jing to approach freely. He expressed his desire to see Si Yin, believing it might be his last chance. The Fire Kirin reminded him that he would see her soon at her wedding to the Crown Prince, but Li Jing insisted he couldn't wait. As he observed, he came across Fengjiu, still crying over Donghua.

He teasingly remarked that she looked ugly when crying but also seemed lost in his own thoughts, contemplating the cave where he once shared a deep connection with Si Yin. He reflected on his long, uninteresting life since their separation. A passing immortal then confirmed to Li Jing that not only had Mo Yuan returned, but Zhe Yan, Bai Zhen, and Bai Qian were also present. Upon hearing this, Li Jing quietly departed.

Back in the Winged Realm, Yan Zhi frantically urged Li Jing to inform the Heavenly Tribe, particularly Mo Yuan, about Qingqang's imminent escape from the Donghuang Bell, which was causing unrest among the sub-tribes. Li Jing, however, was preoccupied with Bai Qian's impending marriage to Ye Hua, which he considered the most prestigious in the Four Seas.

He lamented his own past inability to give Si Yin a comparable wedding and expressed joy at her current happiness with Mo Yuan's return. Yan Zhi then revealed that their father, Qingqang, was growing stronger, his power fueled by the death of their eldest brother, making the Donghuang Bell's seal unstable. Li Jing, however, refused to alert the Heavenly Tribe.

He reasoned that if Qingqang escaped, Mo Yuan would be the one to seal him again, and he couldn't bear for Si Yin to sacrifice herself to protect her teacher, especially with her wedding so close. Feeling he had done nothing good for his realm in 70,000 years, Li Jing secretly resolved to act alone, seeing it as his only chance to prove himself worthy.

Li Jing knelt before Yan Zhi, entrusting his son and the entire Winged Realm to her, acknowledging that she would be the sole remaining royal bloodline. Confused, Yan Zhi questioned his intentions, but Li Jing then knocked her unconscious. He ordered Fire Kirin to imprison Yan Zhi and his child in the Land of Extreme Coldness, forbidding their release until the Donghuang Bell crisis was resolved.

He also instructed Fire Kirin, his most trusted and auspicious beast, to ensure Yan Zhi became the new Winged Monarch after his death and to protect her and his child, believing this was the only way to secure their future. Fire Kirin, though hesitant, ultimately obeyed his monarch's command. Alone, Li Jing resolved that in seven days, he would succeed in his plan.

Meanwhile, at the Ruoshui River, the local Land God reported unusual turbulent waves to Jialun, sensing an ominous and complex event was unfolding. They resolved to take precautions. Zhe Yan informed Bai Zhen that Mo Yuan would enter seclusion in seven days to aid his recovery, asking Bai Zhen for his assistance in refining medicinal pills.

Bai Qian, learning of this, understood Mo Yuan needed to recuperate, as Ye Hua's cultivation had only been enough to awaken him, leaving him still weak. Zhe Yan urged Bai Qian to visit Mo Yuan before his seclusion, warning her that she might not see him for an extended period—perhaps ten days, half a month, or even ten years. Bai Qian, deciding to refresh Mo Yuan's room with his favorite peach blossoms, immediately set off to gather them.

Later that night, Bai Qian knocked on Mo Yuan's door. She explained that she had come with the intention of replacing his peach blossoms and to have a proper conversation before his impending, potentially long seclusion. She then added that she had instructed Sixteenth Senior Brother to change them daily from now on. She reminisced about her early days at Kunlun Void when she would pester him to play the zither.

Mo Yuan, acknowledging her memory, then asked if Ye Hua treated her well. Bai Qian confirmed his sincerity, noting that his affection, while different from Mo Yuan's, was equally genuine. Mo Yuan simply responded, "That's good to hear." As snow continued to fall, Mo Yuan began to play the guqin. Outside, Zhe Yan overheard the melancholic melody and sighed, lamenting an "unexpected mishap."

After the music concluded, Mo Yuan gently told Bai Qian it was late and she should return to rest. Realizing she had been inconsiderate of his need to recuperate, Bai Qian apologized and left.
