Dance of the Sky Empire Episode 14 Recap
> Dance of the Sky Empire Recap
Su Youlian awoke to panicked calls, disoriented and desperate to find Li Xuan. Her friends were relieved she was safe, but revealed that she and Li Xuan had disappeared for a full day and night. Su Youlian, however, insisted she had spent over three months inside the Secret Realm. When asked about Li Xuan's whereabouts, her mind reeled with fragmented memories of their time together.
Ignoring the chaos, she declared her intention to find Li Xuan and, despite her weakness, dove back into the water, determined to re-enter the perilous realm. Meanwhile, within the Secret Realm, Li Xuan was recovering from another brutal beating at the hands of the little monk guarding the Tianxiu Array. The Elder of the Book of Heaven tended to his injuries, marveling at Li Xuan's resilience, as his bones and tendons had been shattered, yet he clung to life.
Though initially unwilling to divulge secrets, the Elder was swayed by Li Xuan's unwavering resolve. Through subtle hints, Li Xuan realized that the magic glass bead could only allow one person to exit the Secret Realm. He also learned that the Elder’s companion, Wangcai, would turn to ash if taken outside. With a newfound understanding of how to provoke the monk, Li Xuan deliberately goaded the monk into repeatedly striking him.
This tactic successfully broke the monk’s composure, forcing him to reveal the exit to the Tianxiu Array. As Li Xuan left, he promised the Elder that he would return with Su Youlian to keep him company, a sentiment that the old man outwardly dismissed but was clearly moved by. Upon exiting the Secret Realm, Li Xuan found himself underwater, just as Su Youlian was swimming down to search for him. He rushed to her, embracing and kissing her deeply.
However, the ordeal had left Li Xuan severely injured, and he had lost his self-healing ability. Overwhelmed, he collapsed into unconsciousness. Su Youlian watched him sink, struggling to believe that he had truly returned. Li Xuan and Su Youlian were brought back to the academy. Lord Zi examined Li Xuan, expressing surprise at his inability to heal himself and advising complete rest.
Yu Fengmu immediately brought a valuable vulnerary from the State of Sha, while Yanran also pledged to retrieve the best medicine from her family. Coincidentally, Cui Pianran returned home in a furious mood, throwing a tantrum. Her mother, Madam Cui, dismissed it as a bad mood, but a servant later revealed to her that Cui Pianran had developed feelings for Li Xuan. Once Li Xuan regained consciousness, Su Youlian tearfully expressed her relief, admitting she thought he would never return.
Li Xuan, still weak, reassured her, stating he was blessed to have survived. He further affirmed their bond by reminding her of their official marriage in the Secret Realm. Their intimate conversation was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of Li Shude, Li Xuan's father. General Li, enraged by his son's recklessness, ordered Li Xuan to return home immediately. When Su Youlian tried to intervene, explaining Li Xuan’s fragile state, Li Shude harshly rebuked her, accusing her of manipulating his son.
Despite Li Xuan’s attempts to defend Su Youlian and refuse to leave, General Li commanded his guards to forcibly take him home. Later, Su Youlian visited her Master, the Sword Spirit, who immediately confronted her about her prolonged absence and her failure to secure the No.1 Token. Recalling the human clan's cruelty towards the Kunwu people, she berated Su Youlian for showing kindness and mercy towards Li Xuan, especially after he had saved her life multiple times.
She demanded that Su Youlian fulfill her mission without hesitation, warning of severe consequences if she continued to prioritize human morality. Meanwhile, Li Xuan was confined to his home under strict orders from his father. Shortly after, Madam Cui arrived with Cui Pianran to formally propose a marriage alliance between their families. Li Shude, pleased with Cui Pianran, readily agreed to the union.
However, Li Xuan vehemently refused, asserting that he was already a married man and would not marry Cui Pianran. His defiance infuriated his father. In a final act of rebellion, Li Xuan sarcastically agreed to the marriage, but declared he would be attending as a guest at his father's wedding, mocking his father’s attempt to control him.
Elsewhere, Duke Yu Min, who had been persistently pursuing Princess Yunshan, grew increasingly frustrated by her rejections and her obvious closeness with Xiao Fengming. He publicly confronted Xiao Fengming, lashing out with insults against both him and Princess Yunshan, calling them a "shameless couple." Xiao Fengming, though skilled in spiritual power and magic far beyond Duke Yu Min, initially refrained from retaliating, adhering to his principle of not bullying the weak.
However, when Duke Yu Min continued to hurl vile insults at Princess Yunshan, Xiao Fengming lost his composure. Just as he was about to retaliate, Princess Yunshan arrived. She swiftly used her spiritual power to slap Duke Yu Min, punishing him for his insolence and for harming her classmate. Afterwards, Princess Yunshan tended to Xiao Fengming's wounds, expressing concern and a touch of exasperation at his "foolish" adherence to his principles.
Xiao Fengming explained that while he would not physically assault the weak, malicious words could be just as damaging, and Duke Yu Min's verbal attacks were far from a sign of weakness. Princess Yunshan, though still teasing him, acknowledged his wisdom and left to find medicine for his injuries.
