Dance of the Sky Empire Episode 12 Recap
> Dance of the Sky Empire Recap
Li Xuan offered food he had prepared for Su Youlian to the Elder of the Book of Heaven, who remarked that it was delicious but a bit bland. The Elder proceeded to eat several plates of Li Xuan's cooking before he was satisfied. When Li Xuan returned to their room with the food, Su Youlian noticed soot on his face and gently wiped it away. As their eyes met, Su Youlian shyly lowered her hand, and Li Xuan smiled.
Later, Li Xuan approached the Elder, who, despite claiming not to divulge heavenly secrets, agreed to make an exception and answer one question. Anticipating Li Xuan's query, the Elder revealed that Su Youlian did indeed have feelings for him. Overjoyed, Li Xuan then asked if he and Su Youlian belonged to the same race. After a moment of contemplation, the Elder confirmed that they were, adding that he never makes mistakes.
Surprised, Li Xuan murmured to himself that he had been deceived by Long Wei'er, wondering how Su Youlian could possibly be from the Kunwu Clan. The Elder, who had been watching a recorded vision of a tragic event from eighteen years ago involving a baby girl, expressed a strong desire to raise a child. He proposed that Li Xuan and Su Youlian marry and have children in the Secret Realm.
While Li Xuan, who already harbored feelings for Su Youlian, readily agreed, Su Youlian hesitated, stating she could not marry him due to her hidden identity. Impatient with her refusal, the Elder threatened Li Xuan's life by magically lifting him into the air. To save him, Su Youlian immediately consented to the marriage. Within an hour, they were dressed in red wedding attire and performing the marriage rites. Later, in their chamber, Li Xuan lifted Su Youlian's veil.
Though they had agreed the marriage was just a performance for the Elder, Li Xuan playfully asserted their new status as husband and wife, much to Su Youlian's annoyance. The following morning, Su Youlian woke up and smiled as she reached out to touch Li Xuan's face. Li Xuan, pretending to be asleep, gently kissed her hand, affirming his role as her husband.
When they emerged, the Elder eagerly asked about their progress in conceiving a child and presented Li Xuan with a precious glazed ball, a personal treasure, as a wedding gift. Later, Li Xuan sweetly taught a curious Su Youlian how to cook, though she struggled and accidentally added too much salt. Meanwhile, back at the academy, Yu Fengmu attempted to forcibly enter the Secret Realm to rescue Su Youlian, with Changqing joining him to save Li Xuan.
The realm began to drain their spiritual power, putting their lives at risk. Just as they were about to be overwhelmed, Ziji appeared and saved them. He chastised them for their recklessness, explaining that the Secret Realm is a treacherous place from which no one has returned for centuries. As Li Xuan's master, Ziji admitted he was helpless and that Li Xuan would have to find his own way out.
Life in the Secret Realm continued, with the Elder often teasing Li Xuan for amusement. He tested a swing he built for his "future great-grandson" by mischievously sending Li Xuan flying high into the air, ignoring his pleas. One day, Su Youlian went to the Elder's room to call him for a meal but found it empty. Her curiosity led her to touch the Wordless Book of Heaven. Upon contact, she was overwhelmed by a tragic vision of her clan's past, seeing her people being ruthlessly hunted down, which left her deeply unsettled.
