She also saw a picture of Lu Xingcheng's mother wearing a Nepal Kyi gown, which further piqued her curiosity.
After gathering all the requested items, Tong Xiaoyou returned home. Unable to contain her questions, Tong Xiaoyou immediately confronted Lu Xingcheng. She revealed she had accidentally seen a childhood photo of them together at his house, questioning their relationship. Lu Xingcheng was annoyed that she touched his belongings. Later, at a gym, Wen Xi found herself being harassed by a man, but Mu Yang intervened. Enraged, she slapped Lu Xingcheng across the face and stormed out, leaving him stunned.
Lu Yanzhi immediately chased after her. Upset, Tong Xiaoyou returned to her parents' house. At his home, Lu Xingcheng spoke to the fish in the tank, asking them to apologize to Tong Xiaoyou on his behalf. Her mother noticed Tong Xiaoyou's unhappiness and brought her a glass of milk. Song Ruru returned home, found Tong Xiaoyou absent, and seeing Lu Xingcheng's red face, pressed him for details. Lu Xingcheng reluctantly admitted Tong Xiaoyou had hit him.
Song Ruru then shared the news of Ye Mang's open designer recruitment, but urged Lu Xingcheng to apologize to her promptly, warning that Lu Yanzhi was very good to her. As the night progressed, Tong Xiaoyou waited for Lu Xingcheng's apology message, while Lu Xingcheng hesitated to send one, both repeatedly picking up and putting down their phones.
