As Wang Yue lifted the restraints from Chong Zi, a flood of past memories overwhelmed her, causing her to break down. She confronted both Yan Zhenzhu and Wang Yue, accusing them of manipulating her from the very beginning. Yan Zhenzhu admitted that her initial approach to Chong Zi had been calculated, but she insisted her later affection was genuine.

She revealed her true identity as the Daughter of the Dream Demon, the right protector of Demon King Ni Lun, loyal to his lineage. Regardless of their intentions, Chong Zi's fate as the next host of the Demon Sword was sealed. Wang Yue used his powers to heal Chong Zi's damaged soul, allowing her evil breath to gather. He then persuaded her that the Demon Palace was her true home and the only place she belonged.

Meanwhile, Yu Xuzi sent an urgent plea for help to Nanhua, then led his disciples to the Ice Prison. Luo Yinfan, alarmed by the news, rushed to the prison, fearing for Chong Zi. At the Ice Prison's exit, Yu Xuzi and his disciples intercepted Wang Yue and Yan Zhenzhu. A fierce battle ensued, during which Yan Zhenzhu was gravely wounded while protecting Chong Zi.

As Chong Zi wept over her, Yan Zhenzhu, with her dying breath, entrusted her with a magic artifact that would allow her to travel freely between the immortal and demon realms. She also asked Chong Zi to relay an apology to Chengfeng. After Yan Zhenzhu passed away, Wang Yue urged Chong Zi to leave. Just then, Luo Yinfan arrived. Luo Yinfan was heartbroken to see Chong Zi's emaciated and scarred appearance after three years.

He tried to embrace her, but Chong Zi remained unresponsive. She recounted the brutal suffering in the Ice Prison, the ceaseless cold, the agonizing pain of being suspended from icicles, and her desperate, unfulfilled hope for him to rescue her. She accused him of deliberately inflicting such torment to make her atone for a past life.

Luo Yinfan denied knowing the extent of her suffering and tried to explain, but Chong Zi dismissed his words, revealing that Wang Yue had told her everything, including that she was the one who had taken the demon sword and betrayed the sect in a previous life. She realized her pendant, once thought to be a protective charm, was merely a tool for surveillance.

Chong Zi bitterly told Luo Yinfan that he was more terrifying than any demon, wondering why he hadn't simply killed her in her previous life, condemning her to this new agony. Luo Yinfan, in turn, expressed his deep regret and pain over the past three years. As Min Yunzhong and other Nanhua disciples arrived at the Ice Prison, they discovered the bodies of Sima Miaoyuan and Yan Zhenzhu. Chengfeng was devastated by Zhenzhu's death.

Min Yunzhong, recognizing Zhenzhu’s demonic essence, used a spell to incinerate her body, leaving behind a demon core, which Chengfeng cradled with tears. Min Yunzhong then swore to utterly destroy Chong Zi. Qin Ke, with a heavy heart, closed Sima Miaoyuan's eyes. Upon checking, Qin Ke found that the Demon Sword and the Tianmo Token were missing. The Nanhua disciples surrounded Chong Zi, but she scoffed at Min Yunzhong's threats, declaring it would not be easy to capture her now.

She then announced her true identity as the daughter of Demon King Ni Lun, shocking everyone. Luo Yinfan desperately tried to convince her not to believe Wang Yue, but Wang Yue descended from above, proclaiming, "Young Master, I'm here to pick you up." Chong Zi, engulfed in a surge of purple evil breath, unleashed destructive power and stood defiant with Wang Yue.

Luo Yinfan called out to her, asking her to come to him, to which Chong Zi retorted that if he truly wanted to save her, he should be the one to cross the distance. His hesitation solidified her despair, and she angrily accused him of being the one who truly could not tolerate her. With fury in her eyes, Chong Zi, wielding the Demon Sword, asked Luo Yinfan one last time if he had ever truly loved her.

Luo Yinfan, heartbroken at the sight of her transformation, confessed that he had never forgotten her for a single moment. But his words were not enough. Chong Zi, her trust shattered, left with Wang Yue. Overwhelmed by grief and the effects of his shared suffering, Luo Yinfan vomited blood and collapsed. Chong Zi returned to the Demon God Hall with Wang Yue.

She showed little deference to the demons, proclaiming that the immortal and demon realms were all the same in her eyes. This provoked Yin Shuixian and others, leading to a confrontation that Chong Zi quelled with the Demon Sword. A masked figure descended, effortlessly demonstrating immense power, and was identified as the Thousand-Faced Demon, Tian Zhixie.

Wang Yue urged Chong Zi to pledge allegiance to the Demon God, but she vehemently refused, stating she had not agreed to become a demon or join their ranks. Wang Yue countered that the immortal sects no longer had a place for her. As Chong Zi dismissed his concerns, the masked figure followed her out. Chong Zi called out "Senior Mu," revealing his identity as Mu Yu, her former senior uncle.

Mu Yu, now unveiled as Tian Zhixie, explained his long-standing loyalty to Demon King Ni Lun. As the Demon King's left protector, he had infiltrated the immortal sects for a century, protecting the Demon Sword and patiently awaiting Chong Zi's arrival. Tian Zhixie admitted his various manipulations, including instigating Yan Zhenzhu to use nightmare techniques and causing Zhuo Yunji's death to be blamed on Chong Zi, but asserted that he had never directly harmed her.

He reiterated that the demon sword's power was intended for her, the blood relative of Ni Lun, and only she could break the seal of the Tianmo Token to fulfill Ni Lun's ultimate desire: the unification of the six realms under demonic rule. Tian Zhixie revealed that Chong Zi's mother, Shuiji, was from Nanhua, used as a pawn to seduce Ni Lun.

Chong Zi scoffed at the idea of fulfilling Ni Lun's "selfish" wish, pointing out that he gave her life but never raised her, and reminding Tian Zhixie of her suffering in Nanhua. Tian Zhixie insisted that Chong Zi was now avenging herself and fulfilling her own destiny, pledging his unwavering support for her. He concluded that his wish, born from Ni Lun's, would ultimately become her own. Meanwhile, the immortal Sages convened at Nanhua, all eyes on Luo Yinfan.

They chastised him for protecting Chong Zi and allowing her escape, demanding to know how he would atone for his mistakes. Luo Yinfan remained silent throughout the accusations, eventually storming out, ignoring Qin Ke's attempts to speak with him. Outside, Zhuo Hao, despite Min Suqiu's pleas to stop him and her accusations that Chong Zi was a "witch," was determined to find Chong Zi.

He declared Chong Zi his love, not a source of trouble, and warned Min Suqiu not to slander her. Min Suqiu questioned his devotion, reminding him of her own heartfelt dedication to him over three years. Zhuo Hao replied that if affection always yielded results, he would have married Chong Zi twice over by now.

Admitting he was unsure why he felt compelled to go, he told Min Suqiu he was "obsessed" and "undeserving" of her true feelings, urging her to stop wasting her time on him before departing.
