Blossom in Heart Episode 27 Recap
> Blossom in Heart Recap
Lang Yuexuan and Lang Yueming clashed over Lang Yueming's decision to change the packaging of Langli Chun's rouge. Lang Yuexuan vehemently argued that these changes, made for cost reduction and small profits, would damage the brand's reputation and quality. Lang Yueming, however, countered that profitability was paramount and also criticized Lang Yuexuan's excessive spending on the research and development department. Their argument escalated until Lang Sinian intervened, summoning both brothers.
Lang Sinian sided with Lang Yuexuan, emphasizing the importance of Langli Chun's brand name. He reprimanded Lang Yueming, instructing him to consult Lang Yuexuan before making future decisions and to promptly restore all the original packaging to salvage the brand's reputation. Meanwhile, Long Mohua visited the Lang family, distributing small gifts to the maids, who subsequently became quite obedient to her. Feng Chunyan, delighted by Long Mohua's presence, warmly invited her to stay for dinner.
Long Mohua offered to cook personally, and Feng Chunyan had Miaolan accompany her to the kitchen. There, Long Mohua inquired about Lang Yuexuan's culinary preferences. Miaolan claimed that Lang Yuexuan liked whatever Gu Haitang liked. Long Mohua, knowing that Gu Haitang couldn't eat spicy food while Lang Yuexuan could, immediately recognized Miaolan's lie. She confronted Miaolan directly about her feelings for Lang Yuexuan, sternly warning her to abandon any inappropriate thoughts.
Long Mohua further cautioned that if Miaolan dared to harbor such desires, she would have to leave the Lang family, or, as a "sister-in-law," she would only be qualified to like Lang Yuexuan if she were to leave the Lang family like Gu Haitang. Miaolan, though angered, dared not voice her resentment. Returning to the workshop, Lang Yueming remained silent and worked diligently, visibly disheartened. Lang Yuexuan asked Gu Haitang to comfort him and give him a chance.
Gu Haitang reassured Lang Yueming, emphasizing that his earlier actions, despite being misguided in their execution, ultimately reaffirmed Langli Chun's credibility and reputation. This conversation enlightened Lang Yueming, who suddenly conceived an idea: to make Gu Haitang the image spokesperson for Langli Chun, creating promotional posters similar to foreign magazines and expanding the rouge's sales overseas. Gu Haitang encouraged his initiative and agreed to consider his suggestion.
Later, after work, Gu Haitang informed Lang Yuexuan of Lang Yueming's idea, and Lang Yuexuan immediately agreed, deciding to ask Shi Diwen for help in finding a suitable photographer. Long Mohua prepared an elaborate dinner, earning high praise for her cooking from Feng Chunyan. However, neither Lang Sinian nor Lang Yueming returned home to eat. Feng Chunyan seized the opportunity to try and matchmake Long Mohua with Lang Yueming.
Long Mohua knew that Lang Yueming's heart belonged to Gu Haitang, and her own affections were for Lang Yuexuan. Yet, Feng Chunyan believed Lang Yuexuan to be unreliable due to his "playboy" nature. Long Mohua, not wanting to contradict Feng Chunyan directly, skillfully changed the subject. Later, while strolling in the Lang family garden, Long Mohua encountered Lang Yueming, who casually mentioned the plan to find a spokesperson for posters.
Lang Yuexuan then arrived, ready to discuss the photoshoot with Lang Yueming, having already informed Lang Sinian, who agreed to the plan. Long Mohua promptly volunteered to be Langli Chun's spokesperson, but Lang Yueming informed her that Gu Haitang had already been chosen. Feeling indignant, Long Mohua immediately went to her father, Long Deshui, late that night, seeking his help to find the best foreign designer, vowing to surpass Gu Haitang.
Long Deshui swiftly found a foreign designer who first required Long Mohua to overcome her acrophobia through intensive training. On the day of the photoshoot, Shi Diwen had arranged for a photographer. Gu Haitang, wearing a formal dress and high heels for the first time, felt very uncomfortable; her movements were stiff, and her expressions tense, despite many attempts. Lang Yuexuan encouraged her to relax.
At that moment, Long Mohua made a stunning entrance, dressed in a magnificent gown and bright red high heels, instantly captivating everyone's attention. She publicly declared her challenge for Langli Chun's image spokesperson position. Long Mohua, poised and graceful, quickly completed her photoshoot to the photographer's satisfaction, even cleverly resolving a minor issue at the last minute. Subsequently, large posters of Long Mohua were displayed at the entrance of the Langli Chun shop, receiving widespread admiration from customers.
The position of president for the Kunyang Chamber of Commerce was vacant. Long Deshui attended the election meeting and, amidst varying opinions, proposed that the individual who won the grand prize at the International Rouge Exhibition should be appointed president. Lang Sinian was the first to endorse this decision, and all others agreed. Following the meeting, Long Deshui spoke privately with Lang Sinian, highly commending Long Mohua's posters for the Lang family.
Shi Jizhou then joined them, persistently questioning Lang Sinian about which product he intended to submit for the exhibition. Lang Sinian evaded the question, remaining undeterred by Shi Jizhou's subsequent threats. Lang Yuexuan planned to enter his "Hongyan Rouge" into the exhibition and was extremely busy with its development.
Lang Yueming proposed using Hongyan Rouge as the exhibition product, but Lang Yuexuan revealed it still had flaws; specifically, he had not yet found a suitable substitute for musk and feared it could lead to miscarriages if used by customers. He stated it was therefore unsuitable for mass production or easy sale. Lang Yueming then suggested finding an equivalent product to replace Hongyan Rouge for the exhibition.
Xinqiao, hiding nearby, overheard these critical conversations and immediately reported the details to Shi Jizhou, who instructed her to thoroughly investigate the matter and seize the opportunity presented by the exhibition. Lang Yueming later sought Gu Haitang to select a poster for the exhibition, but she was absent, so he asked the female workers to assist him. He also casually inquired about Lang Yuexuan's whereabouts, and the female workers disclosed that Lang Yuexuan was engrossed in developing Hongyan Rouge.
Gu Haitang visited a temple (or Buddha hall) and coincidentally observed Lang Sinian worshipping there. She was puzzled, as the Lang family's ancestral tablets were not enshrined in that particular location. She then asked Lang Sinian if he knew her father, Gu Shunqi. Lang Sinian lied, denying any acquaintance, and promptly left with Uncle Quan.
Uncle Quan noticed Gu Haitang's suspicion, but Lang Sinian believed she lacked concrete evidence and would eventually give up, though he acknowledged that she would discover the truth sooner or later and instructed Uncle Quan to treat Gu Haitang well. Gu Haitang later realized that Lang Sinian had been worshipping someone named "èƒè„‚" (Rouge). Growing increasingly suspicious, she recalled seeing a memorial tablet near her father's that also bore the name "èƒè„‚."
She asked Master Shang if he knew anyone named Rouge; Master Shang's visibly flustered demeanor and hurried departure confirmed her suspicions that Lang Sinian was indeed worshipping Rouge. In truth, Lang Sinian did know her father and held memories of the woman named Rouge. Lang Yueming invited Long Mohua to lead the female workers in a dance performance at the rouge exhibition, an invitation Long Mohua gladly accepted.
Lang Yuexuan, still unable to find a substitute for musk, discussed with Gu Haitang his concern that Hongyan Rouge might not be ready for the exhibition and proposed using "Goose Egg Powder" instead. Master Shang, who overheard their conversation, initially disapproved, arguing that Goose Egg Powder was a traditional Lang family product lacking novelty.
Gu Haitang then suggested updating it with new packaging and leveraging Long Mohua's posters for extensive promotion, or creating limited-edition packaging with new advertising slogans, which Master Shang found feasible. When Lang Yueming and Long Mohua arrived at the workshop, Lang Yuexuan informed them that Hongyan Rouge would not be ready for the exhibition. They then agreed that the new packaging and promotion ideas could be applied to Goose Egg Powder. They proceeded to divide their responsibilities: Lang Yuexuan and Gu Haitang would handle the outer packaging, while Long Mohua would continue to lead the female workers in their dance.
