At the beginning of the God Realm, the Ancestral God created the three realms of gods, immortals, and demons, and passed on the method of spiritual power cultivation before shattering the void and leaving. The God Realm is supreme, governed by the four True Gods. Within the God Realm, two graceful young girls are frolicking among the beautiful flowers. One of the girls is innocent and romantic; she is Shanggu, the Chief God of Chaos.
Accompanying her is the Goddess of Moon & Stars, named Yuemi. The two come together to the Temple of Love, which manages marriages in the three realms. This Temple of Love is managed by God Lord Puhua. Yuemi has someone in her heart, and she enters the temple to pray for marriage. Shanggu, seeing the loving couples in the temple, can't help but pinch a magic seal, wanting to help create pairs of divine couples.
However, Shanggu is not skilled enough, and she accidentally creates a disaster, which is noticed by Zhiyang, the True God in charge of the Heavenly Realm. Shanggu and Yuemi quickly leave the Temple of Love. Inside a Heavenly Realm school, a man in white is teaching immortal techniques. He is Bai Jue, one of the four True Gods of the ancient realm.
Bai Jue is cold by nature but quite strict with his students, until another man comes to disrupt Bai Jue's teaching. There are not many who can be so presumptuous with Bai Jue; besides Zhiyang, who is far away in the God Realm, Tianqi, who is right in front of him, is one of them. As soon as Tianqi sees Bai Jue, he challenges him to a contest.
In the past ten thousand years, Bai Jue's spiritual power has greatly increased, and Tianqi is no match for Bai Jue. He obtains fine wine from Bai Jue and also mentions Shanggu's ten-thousand-year birthday. Shanggu is the future Chief God of Chaos, and whether Bai Jue is willing or not, he must make a trip to the God Realm to see this Shanggu, who is just ten thousand years old.
Within the God Realm, True God Zhiyang knows about the disaster Shanggu has caused. He is very angry about Shanggu sneaking out of the God Realm and sends people to search for Shanggu's whereabouts everywhere. Shanggu knows that she will be punished by Zhiyang, so after thinking for a moment, she decides to go to Changyuan Hall to avoid the storm.
Changyuan Hall is Bai Jue's temple, but because Bai Jue has not returned to the God Realm for nearly ten thousand years, Shanggu sincerely believes that it is a safe place. Bai Jue and Tianqi return to the God Realm to see Zhiyang. There are only four True Gods in the God Realm; besides Shanggu, there are the three of them. Therefore, even though they have not seen each other for ten thousand years, they do not feel any estrangement.
This time, Bai Jue casually picks a longevity peach as a birthday gift for Shanggu. Zhiyang mentions that Shanggu has had blocked divine meridians since birth, and her spiritual power is weak, preventing her from cultivating the Ancestral God's unique power of Chaos. He hopes that Bai Jue can stay in the God Realm and guide Shanggu.
Bai Jue is unwilling to take on this matter, but Zhiyang lets Bai Jue and Tianqi witness the phenomenon of the Nether World cracking. As the Nether World cracks, the power of Chaos also begins to dissipate. Once the Nether World completely breaks open, it will cause a great disturbance. Even if Bai Jue is unwilling to interfere in the affairs of the Demon, he cannot ignore the Tribulation of Chaos.
Under the mutual persuasion of Zhiyang and Tianqi, and with Zhiyang's assurance that Shanggu is naturally well-behaved and diligent, Bai Jue agrees to teach Shanggu. Inside Changyuan Hall, Shanggu is resting in a tree when she unexpectedly sees Goddess of Snow coming to care for the Canghai Flower. It goes without saying that Goddess of Snow is in love with Bai Jue. Bai Jue's sudden appearance makes Goddess of Snow's eyes light up with joy.
Goddess of Snow steps forward to express her feelings, but Bai Jue burns the Canghai Flower in front of Goddess of Snow, leaving Goddess of Snow with no illusions. At the same time, Bai Jue discovers Shanggu's presence. Shanggu mistakes Bai Jue for a heartless man and speaks wildly to Bai Jue. Seeing Shanggu's unruly nature, Bai Jue also puts on a cold face and directly throws Shanggu out of Changyuan Hall.
Shanggu returns to her own temple, and she is constantly thinking about what Bai Jue did to her. She is the Chief God of Chaos, and no one in the God Realm has ever been so presumptuous with her. Therefore, she wants Yuemi to destroy Changyuan Hall for her. Bai Jue's spiritual power is not something that Yuemi can compare with. Yuemi, feeling troubled, summons Zhiyang.
Zhiyang has watched Shanggu grow up since she was a child, and he knows Shanggu's nature well. Therefore, he cooperates with Yuemi, using reverse psychology to provoke Shanggu into being willing to become Bai Jue's apprentice. When she has learned something in the future, the first thing she will do is to personally destroy Changyuan Hall and drive Bai Jue out of the God Realm, in order to avenge today's humiliation.
Surrounded by people, Shanggu comes to Changyuan Hall, wanting to show off her divine power as the Chief God of Chaos. However, Bai Jue does not fall for Shanggu's tricks and only says that if Shanggu wants to enter the door of his Changyuan Hall, she must agree to three requests from him. Shanggu agrees without hesitation.
She endures the arrogance in her heart and takes off her divine clothes in front of everyone, destroys the treasure that she has loved for ten thousand years, and has her spiritual power sealed by Bai Jue. Wearing plain clothes, she enters Changyuan Hall. From then on, she is a divine servant in Changyuan Hall, no longer the Chief God of Chaos.
Once she enters the door of Changyuan Hall, Shanggu's status is no different from that of the Qilin divine beast beside Bai Jue. At the request of the divine beast, she begins to sweep the floor but frequently teases the divine beast. Bai Jue sets a test for Shanggu. He asks Shanggu to go to the Blood Forest to appease the Tiger Demons and find a way to make the Tiger Demons smile.
Shanggu is very troubled by this, and she comes to Tianqi for advice. Tianqi only tells Shanggu to move them with the most sincere affection. Afterwards, Shanggu steps out of the hall but encounters a group of goddesses who have come to give her birthday gifts for her ten-thousand-year birthday.
