Shao Yuhan approached Mi Ka and told her that the research institute that had previously treated Xiaoman was now recruiting interns. He thought Mi Ka was a perfect fit and gave her the information, suggesting she consider it. Mi Ka was overjoyed—this had always been her dream during her school years, so she naturally had no reason to refuse.
Their conversation was seen by Shen Jianan, who went back and told Shen Jianing that Mi Ka and Shao Yuhan were speaking very intimately. The two even believed that Mi Ka was deliberately preventing Xing Kelei from visiting Shen Jianing at the hospital. Not long after, rumors began circulating in the hospital again—this time about a supposed affair between Mi Ka and Shao Yuhan, claiming their relationship was unusual.

When she arrived and learned about the rumors, she visited the Shen sisters in their ward. The moment the Shen sisters saw Xing Keyao, they acted like mice seeing a cat, immediately behaving obediently in her presence.
Xing Keyao gave them a brief talking-to, telling Shen Jianing to focus on recovering and not to dwell on things she shouldn't. The SWAT competition began. By the end of the events, the three teams were neck and neck. Only the afternoon group event and Xing Kelei’s individual match remained. In the individual match, Xing Kelei's hand trembled again, and he lost the individual shooting event to Zhuang Zhiwen.
After the competition, the leader announced the results: the Black Panther Assault Team won first place in the group event, but Xing Kelei missed out on the individual shooting title. Still, he wasn’t discouraged and agreed with Zhuang Zhiwen to compete again next year. Xing Kelei originally wanted to call Mi Ka, but Xing Keyao called first.
She told him about how the Shen sisters were stirring up trouble in the hospital, picking on Mi Ka, and even spreading rumors about her and Shao Yuhan, which made Xing Keyao furious. Pushed to her limit, Mi Ka stopped tolerating the Shen sisters and told He Xiaoxiao to call security to escort Shen Jianan out. Shortly after Mi Ka left, the security staff arrived.
During the scuffle, Xing Kelei and Xing Keyao also arrived at the hospital and saw Shen Jianan about to be taken away. Shen Jianing still tried to defend herself, but a patient nearby spoke up for Mi Ka. Xing Kelei was deeply disappointed in the Shen sisters and left without wanting to deal with them anymore.
Xing Keyao stayed behind to clean up the mess and warned the sisters that even if Mi Ka were not in Xing Kelei’s life, Shen Jianing would never be his girlfriend. She informed them she had already arranged for Shen Jianing’s follow-up rehabilitation and had found a job for Shen Jianan. She and Xing Kelei would repay Captain Shen’s kindness, but the sisters must stop testing their bottom line.
After resolving the situation with the Shen sisters, Xing Kelei wanted to have dinner with Mi Ka. But during the meal, Ruan Qingxia called Mi Ka in a rather agitated tone. Mi Ka guessed it had something to do with Shu Wenbo and rushed home to comfort her. When Xing Kelei found out it was about Shu Wenbo, he said he’d meet Shu Wenbo the next day to give him a proper lesson on how to be in a relationship.
Shu Wenbo recounted the details of his date with Ruan Qingxia the previous night, which left both Mi Ka and Xing Kelei with headaches. Neither had ever seen someone so clueless about love. While they were talking, Xing Kelei noticed it was raining and told Shu Wenbo to buy an umbrella and pick up Ruan Qingxia after work. Shu Wenbo foolishly bought two umbrellas, prompting a frustrated Xing Kelei to take one away before letting him leave.
But Shu Wenbo only held the umbrella for Ruan Qingxia while walking in the rain himself, which made her angry again. When Ruan Qingxia went to the restroom, Xing Kelei took the opportunity to give Shu Wenbo a few more tips, telling him to be more proactive with her.
