Mi Ka asked Xing Kelei when he’d return to the team. He said he had three days off and didn’t need to go back today. Realizing this, Mi Ka became nervous, worried he’d stay overnight. She went to the bathroom to calm herself and came back to find that Xing Kelei had already cleaned up. Xing Kelei asked what her plans were for the evening.
Mi Ka fumbled for an answer and kept stepping back until Xing Kelei suddenly braced against the wall beside her. Mi Ka closed her eyes nervously, thinking he was going to kiss her — but he only reached up to turn off the living room light, making Mi Ka feel a bit embarrassed. The next morning, Xing Kelei wanted to drive Mi Ka to the hospital, using the excuse of needing to get his bandage changed.
At the hospital, they ran into Shao Yuhan, who greeted Mi Ka and invited her to a gathering at his house that night with his classmates from medical school. Mi Ka agreed. Xu Yanshan was upset that Shao Yuhan hadn’t invited her and complained to Chen Tao that Shao Yuhan was favoring Mi Ka. Xing Kelei happened to overhear the complaint.
At that moment, Xing Keyao called, asking Xing Kelei to have dinner with her that night — but it was actually a blind date she’d arranged for him. At dinner, Xing Kelei didn’t treat the blind date Xing Keyao brought with any warmth. On the way home, Xing Keyao said she was back with a mission: either she or Xing Kelei had to get married, or their mother would return and personally supervise. Xing Kelei was troubled.
Xing Keyao saw through his feelings for Mi Ka. Just then, they saw Mi Ka returning home. Xing Keyao visited Mi Ka’s place and introduced herself. Mi Ka initially thought Xing Keyao was Xing Kelei’s girlfriend, especially with her imposing manner. But Xing Keyao soon clarified that she had studied medicine too and told Mi Ka to reach out anytime she needed help. Mi Ka was relieved. Before leaving, Xing Kelei invited Mi Ka to hang out the next day.
Mi Ka was excited and even put on a face mask for the occasion, while Xing Kelei was worried about where to take her. The next morning, both Mi Ka and Xing Kelei began preparing for the date. Mi Ka carefully chose her outfit while Xing Kelei packed a large bag of snacks. On the way, they chatted. Xing Kelei mentioned his parents were medical equipment agents and often had chances to travel abroad.
Mi Ka shared her own family background and asked where they were going. Xing Kelei said he was taking her to a lavender garden and had written notes on his hand to introduce the flowers. Mi Ka noticed the notes and found him adorable. After a long journey, they arrived, but it suddenly started raining. Xing Kelei then planned to take her to a trendy restaurant, but received an emergency call from Captain Hao.
Feeling guilty, he looked at Mi Ka, but she understood and urged him to go. After leaving, Xing Kelei called his friend Lu Feng to pick up Mi Ka. Not knowing Xing Kelei had made arrangements, Mi Ka called Ruan Qingxia to come get her. Ruan Qingxia had just arrived when Lu Feng also showed up. He immediately recognized Ruan Qingxia and invited both of them into the car, then took them to a restaurant they’d been wanting to try.
At the table, Lu Feng shared some embarrassing stories of Xing Kelei from school. Ruan Qingxia asked Lu Feng about Shu Wenbo and told him she was pursuing Shu Wenbo. Lu Feng was a bit surprised. That night, Mi Ka had a night shift and didn’t receive Xing Kelei’s message until the next morning, when they greeted each other.
