The next day, when she went to a pharmacy to buy medicine for a minor injury, two store clerks were engrossed in her kiss photo, discussing it openly. Upon seeing Xia Lin, they quickly compared her to the image on their phone, causing her embarrassment.
She left her money on the counter and hurried out without waiting for her change. Back in the car, Xia Lin complained to Ling Yizhou that his actions had caused her public scrutiny, costing her money and peace of mind. She demanded compensation for emotional distress and damage to her reputation. She showed him her finger, swollen from slapping him, before attempting to spray it with medicine.
As she did, Ling Yizhou, citing the open car window and wasted air conditioning, reached to close it. Xia Lin protested, pushing him away, which caused him to accidentally fall into her lap. The medicine sprayed into his eyes, leading to a frantic search for tissues. This chaotic scene was, once again, captured by passersby. Director Jin was left speechless and visibly frustrated.
