She planned to host another ball to recreate that special first encounter. Jiang Yushi, while expressing concerns about Ling Yizhou's potential negative impact on Xia Lin's career, agreed not to interfere with her personal life.
Simultaneously, Xia Lin received exciting news from Producer Zhang Hong about a suitable role in an upcoming play, and she eagerly anticipated sharing this with Ling Yizhou. Later that evening, Jiang Yushi met a man in a striped shirt and swiftly handed him an envelope, urging him to quickly publish the "hot stuff" by 9 PM. The man opened it to reveal an engagement agreement, finding the information quite explosive.
However, when 9 PM arrived, Jiang Yushi frantically checked her computer, only to find no expose. She then discovered the envelope was empty and the man's phone was off, realizing with furious disappointment that she had been tricked. Jiang Yushi tearfully accused Xia Lin of living guilt-free, enjoying her life, attention, and love, while Yao Liang lay comatose, her mother wept daily, and she herself had to abandon her job to face those who harmed her family.
