She reverently spoke of the martyrs depicted in the film and paid tribute to those brave individuals in real life who sacrifice themselves for protection, calling them the most admirable people of this era. Lin Luxiao arrived late, hoping to congratulate Nan Chu, but she was surrounded by reporters and he didn't find an opportunity.
He then received a call to attend a meeting and had to rush back to the special division unit. Later, Nan Chu finally found time to video call Lin Luxiao, sharing the overwhelming scrutiny that came with her newfound popularity. With the success of her movie, Nan Chu's schedule became packed with appearances, leaving her little time to see Lin Luxiao.
Feeling exhausted, Nan Chu expressed a desire for a break, but her agent, Shen Guangzong (Zong), advised her not to let her relationship jeopardize her booming career. He emphasized the critical importance of her current rising career phase, warning her about the fickle nature of public opinion and cautioning her against being "love-struck." Nan Chu's assistant agreed with Zong.
In the following days, both Nan Chu and Lin Luxiao were busy with work, and meeting became rare and secretive due to the constant presence of paparazzi. Jiang Ge's father's company, Fude Group, held a celebration banquet for its 40th anniversary, and Nan Chu was among the invited guests. While exchanging pleasantries with Jiang Ge upon arrival, Nan Chu encountered Ran Dongyang (Ran), who tried to create a scene for the media.
Understanding his nature, Nan Chu and Jiang Ge quickly excused themselves. Jiang's father, the head of Fude Group, delivered a speech at the banquet, thanking everyone for their support over the past forty years. After fulfilling her professional obligations, Nan Chu joined Lin Qi and Jiang Ge. Lin Qi encouraged Nan Chu to visit his father when she had time, and she readily agreed. Suddenly, an explosion occurred in the banquet restaurant kitchen, triggering a major fire.
Panic erupted, with people scrambling for escape routes, leading to chaotic crowding and even stampedes. The special division unit was notified and quickly dispatched to the Huanyu Building where the banquet was held. Lou Mingye, the director, assigned firefighters to evacuate people and put out the fire. He also urgently called Lin Luxiao, who had just finished his meeting, to come and assist. As frequent explosions occurred, parts of the building began to collapse, trapping many inside.
Nan Chu and Jiang Ge, having received prior fire safety training, actively helped people inside the building. Firefighters entered the burning building, and injuries began to occur among the rescuers as well. Lin Qi became trapped with his leg pinned under debris. Nan Chu, Yan Dai, and Xu Zhiyi worked together to free him. However, the group found themselves unable to exit the banquet hall.
Lin Luxiao managed to call Nan Chu on her phone and learned she was trapped in the fire. He immediately began making his way to their location. Nan Chu's group located a hidden door and used it to leave. Along the way, they encountered trapped cooks. Nan Chu, Lin Qi, and Yan Dai worked together to help the cooks escape. During their escape, however, Xu Zhiyi and Nan Chu were suddenly pinned under a falling wall panel.
At that critical moment, Lin Luxiao arrived with his team. He directed Lin Qi and Yan Dai to safety with the other rescued individuals. After Yu Qilei assessed the structure of the collapsed wall, they decided to rescue Nan Chu first, then Xu Zhiyi. Xu Zhiyi, in distress, misunderstood, accusing Lin Luxiao of prioritizing Nan Chu because she was his girlfriend. With time running out, Lin Luxiao couldn't stop to explain.
They successfully rescued both Nan Chu and Xu Zhiyi and brought them safely downstairs. Nan Chu thanked Lin Luxiao for saving her again, but Lin Luxiao told her that this time, she had saved herself. Lin Luxiao took Nan Chu to the medical area to have her injuries treated. Some of the cooks who had been rescued thanked Nan Chu, but Nan Chu insisted that the firefighters were the ones who saved them.
