After Master Mo Hai commanded Xie Yi to kneel, Xie Yi, now a mindless servant, obediently knelt and slapped himself, apologizing repeatedly. Witnessing this, Master Mo Hai felt a sense of vindication, quietly speaking to the memory of his late companion, Rong'er, "I have avenged your death." Meanwhile, the furious Song Yu, having failed in his attempt to break through to a higher realm due to a drugged spiritual herb, demanded that Du Shao Yang be brought before him.

Du Shao Yang, worried about Xie Jingxuan's reaction to what he had done to her father, asked if she found his actions too cruel. Xie Jingxuan calmly retorted that he should ask those her father had harmed in the past if his actions were too cruel.

When Du Shao Yang suggested that Xie Jingxuan, as Xie Yi's only daughter, could now rightfully take over the Eight Extremes Temple Sanctuary, she declined, explaining that her power was not on par with Master Song Yu's. She feared she would end up like Song Tingyu if she tried to stand as an equal.

Hearing Song Tingyu's name, Master Mo Hai, foreseeing that Song Yu would soon discover the Xuan Yin Nine-Leaf Lotus he consumed was drugged, advised Du Shao Yang to take the initiative. Du Shao Yang then revealed that Song Tingyu had been imprisoned by Song Yu. Mo Hai proposed a plan: Du Shao Yang would claim that only Song Tingyu could locate Qin Lie, thereby securing Song Yu’s approval for Xie Jingxuan to rescue Song Tingyu.

Once Song Tingyu was free, Du Shao Yang would have someone impersonate her, flying south on a spiritual beast to draw away Song Yu's surveillance, while the real Song Tingyu would travel north. Song Tingyu, recalling Qin Lie’s mention of an ancient man-eating beast sealed in an ice-covered place in the far north, deduced that Qin Lie was likely there, at the Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Land.

She realized that opening a portal was their only way to survive the current predicament, and believed the Soul Suppressing Orb within Qin Lie's mind could be the key to activating it. Master Mo Hai then handed Song Tingyu his Ring of Space, which contained a space spirit stone, instructing her to give it to Qin Lie as a keepsake. He explained that since Rong'er was gone, there was nothing left for him in the Artefact Forging Sect.

Xie Jingxuan insisted on accompanying Song Tingyu to the portal, expressing her lack of trust in Du Shao Yang and her desire to ensure Song Tingyu's safe passage, leaving Du Shao Yang to proceed with the diversion alone. At the Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Land, Qin Lie felt an uncontrollable rage surge through him. A giant beast, Mang Wang, burst forth from the mark on the back of his neck.

Mang Wang introduced itself as a titan from an ancient race, frozen in the ice for millennia, and revealed that the other titans were also imprisoned nearby. It offered Qin Lie a deal: if Qin Lie released its people from the ice, they would devour all of Qin Lie's enemies. Qin Lie, consumed by hatred, was about to unleash his thunder arts to free the other titans, but Ling Yushi and Song Tingyu quickly intervened.

Ling Yushi bravely confronted Qin Lie, attempting to calm him. However, Qin Lie, completely lost to his rage, pushed her away, accusing her of betrayal. Song Tingyu then bravely tackled Qin Lie onto the snow, soothing him until his consciousness returned, and the violent glint in his eyes softened.

Ling Yushi, watching the interaction, recalled a dream of Qin Lie's where Song Tingyu was the one who calmed him, realizing that she was not the one destined to bring him peace. Once Qin Lie fully recovered, he banished Mang Wang. Their moment of respite was short-lived as Song Yu, accompanied by Du Shao Yang and others, arrived at the Frost Land aboard a fire cloud tent.

Yiyuan, attempting to speak in Qin Lie’s defense, was cruelly pushed off the tent by Song Yu, only to be rescued by Qin Lie. When Song Yu failed to persuade Qin Lie to submit, he launched a deadly attack, injuring Ling Yushi. Enraged once more, Qin Lie was about to unseal the other titans when Li Mu and Bu Li suddenly appeared.

Li Mu, revealing himself as the Sixth Sword Holder of Heavenly Sword Mountain, intervened, urging both sides to cease hostilities. Despite Song Yu’s insistence on killing Qin Lie, Li Mu effortlessly repelled his spiritual energy with a single palm, forcing Song Yu to retreat.

After Song Yu’s departure, Li Mu announced that the God Race would inevitably return, and seeing the Chilan Continent's self-important and infighting nature, he was seeking young talents to train in the Heavenly Calamity Continent to broaden their horizons. He extended an invitation, presenting them with Heavenly Sword Sect tokens. Qin Lie, Song Tingyu, and Xie Jingxuan accepted.

Ling Yushi, however, declined, stating her responsibility to her people as the Nether Queen to reorganize the Dark Nether Race and lead them back to their ancestral land. Qin Lie requested that Yiyuan and even Du Shao Yang accompany them. Yiyuan was overjoyed, but Du Shao Yang felt humiliated, viewing it as a mockery.

Bu Li, the Frost Master, opted to stay behind, citing the extreme heat of the Heavenly Calamity Continent and his duty to his own people, the snow wolves, to keep Mang Wang at bay. The priestess then led Ling Yushi and her remaining kin to the Thunder Array, where a portal could take them to their ancestral land, the Realm of Ruined Souls.

Before parting, Ling Yushi revealed to Qin Lie that Li Mu was one of the three men she saw inside the Soul Suppressing Orb. Qin Lie, growing increasingly bewildered by these revelations, then heard the priestess answer his earlier question about Qin Shan. She recounted how twenty years prior, Qin Shan had saved the Dark Nether Race from human capture at Purple Mist Sea.

He had also promised to open the nether passageway one day so they could return to their homeland. At that time, Qin Shan was holding a baby boy, instructing the priestess to help him if he ever faced danger, revealing the boy's name was Qin Lie. The pieces of Qin Lie's past slowly began to fall into place.

Ling Yushi promised to continue her study of the Scripture of the Nine Hells to find a way to unlock the Orb's secrets, and cautioned Qin Lie to be wary of Du Shao Yang, noting his deep-seated resentment. Qin Lie and Ling Yushi shared a heartfelt farewell, both expressing their reluctance to part. Qin Lie watched Ling Yushi walk into the portal, cherishing the memory of their journey together.

Elsewhere, Song Tingyu confronted Song Yu, finally revealing her true feelings for her strict father, admitting that she was leaving the Alliance out of love for Qin Lie. She knelt before him, bidding him an emotional farewell. Yiyuan and Lian Rou also shared a poignant goodbye, with Lian Rou bravely telling Yiyuan that if the Heavenly Calamity Continent was wonderful, he needn't return, as she was afraid of waiting for an uncertain future.

Li Mu and Bu Li also had a bittersweet parting. Xie Jingxuan, still reeling from Du Shao Yang’s betrayal, stood a noticeable distance from him, exchanging only silent glances. Once Qin Lie rejoined the group, Li Mu led everyone towards the Heavenly Calamity Continent, to face the trials ahead.
